For those with children, the popular London Zoo is within Regents Park. For shopping aficionados, Oxford Street is just a 10 minute walk away. Plenty of cafes and good restaurants are just a 3 min walk away on the main road (Baker Street). ABOUT TRAVELLING HERE : To / From Paddington tube station : We're 2 stops away on the Circle / Hammersmith lines. You don't need to get off to change lines, very handy if you have large luggages. To / From King's Cross St Pancras : We're 3 stops away (Circle / Hammersmith / Metropolitan lines). Again you don't have to change lines, and you don't have to get up especially early just to catch the Eurostar! Each journey takes no longer than 5-7 mins including waiting time for the tube. It also has dramatic scenes in the landscape, with the Regent Canal running through with old pubs along its walk way route. The railway station itself is at the defining edge of modern architecture and style and embraces all the requirements of modern city living, with shopping malls, restaurants and to note a sophisticated Champagne bar on the mezzanine level. An array of restaurants and bars surround the area. The area is most notable for its transport links and the ease with which to travel and see the city in any which direction. Description:Queens Park tube goes straight to Paddington (4 stops), Baker Street (7 stops) and Oxford Circus (9 stops). The area is now very fashionable with a fantastic range of boutique shops, cafes, bars and restaurants all just a couple of minutes from the flat. Our flat has some lovely old furniture and original paintings and prints, a large spacious, well equipped kitchen/dining room and a large separate sitting room, fast Wi-fi, 40in Sony Bravia TV & DVD & Sony hi-fi. It's on the top (2nd) floor of a 19th Century house and is very light with Windows on three sides. It also has a sunny private garden on the ground floor. Brondesbury Park, the tube in the opposite direction, is great for East-West journeys to the Olympic village or to Hampstead Heath, Richmond or Kew Gardens. Queens Park is popular with media people - the BBC is nearby and has quite a few celebs too. You may run into Jade Jagger or Thandie Newton walking her dog in the local park. Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films is also a local resident. The excellent of cafes, shops and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk of the house include Jacks (a great diner-style bistro, Hugos, the Salusbury Tavern gastropub, Gails Artisan bakery and Penks Restaurant, probably the best in the area. Sushi Say Japanese restaurant is about 15 minutes walk and is so good (and such good value) that people travel right across London to go there. Or there's a great traditional Fish & Chip shop just opposite Queens Park tube station. There is a Sainsburys local supermarket less than 100 metres from the flat selling everything you need for a short stay: fresh bread, beer, wine, ready-meals, meats, fruit etc. And every Sunday morning there is a very popular Farmers Market 150 metres from the flat selling organic and local produce. Queens Park itself is 2 minutes walk. The Queens Park Rangers football team, now in the Premier League, played here in the early days. It's still great for kicking a football around or jogging, but it also has tennis courts, a pétanque area, pitch and putt golf, an excellent cafe with outside tables, a playground for children under 12, a paddling pool, a huge sandpit area for toddlers and a children's animal zoo. The flat is in a beautiful Edwardian building in a really lovely street. It is bright, has two double bedrooms with a lovely open outlook and short walk to restaurants and shops. . Maida Vale is a leafy residential area of Central London near a canal with pretty barges- an area called ‘Little Venice.’ Near by are restaurants and conveniences, including Chef Gordon Ramsey’s Warrington pub and restaurant. Not too far away are the famous London areas of Bayswater, Kensington Palace and gardens, Notting Hill Gate etc., which provide ample opportunity for shopping or just lazing about in the eateries and traditional pubs. It is an affluent area with some very famous neighbors from the film and fashion industries. Lords Cricket Ground and Regents Park in a reasonable walk away. The area has many smart mansion blocks built in and around the 19th Century. The flat itself is in an Edwardian Stucco fronted building. It is opposite a Yoga Centre and Tennis Courts. It is well served by transport links to Marble Arch, Paddington, Westbourne Grove etc and numerous late night buses. All parts of London are easily accessible. Paddington – Oxford Circus and Piccadilly – in less than 15 minutes. Regents Canal runs through Maida Vale. This is a 15 minute walk left from the house on Randolph Avenue. Walk along the Canal East to Little Venice, Regent’s Park, Camden Town and all the way to Kings Cross and beyond. You will be mesmerized by the Georgian and Regency architecture through Regents Park…and catch sight of one or two animals past London Zoo by the canal. Stop by at the gastro pubs along the way. Walk West on the Canal and one arrives at Paddington basin, where you can catch a boat there to Camden Town which is a leisurely ride, taking in the breathtaking views of the heart of London from different angles. Description:The apartment is in Northwest London, just off Abbey Road close to the famous Abbey Road Studios where the Beatles recorded their album of the same name. There is one double bedroom and a small 2nd bedroom which is a nursery with a cot and baby changing facilities. This accomodation would ideally suit a couple with a baby/toddler. The apartment is very central, close to the attractions of the stunning Maida Vale / Little Venice, Primrose Hill with it's iconic views of London, the thriving Camden Town and in the other direction Notting Hill and Portabello Road being a 10 minute bus ride away. Also just up the road is Swiss Cottage and St John's Wood which have very good underground transport links for the rest of London. There is a bus on the street which takes you to Notting Hill and Kensington. There is also a bus you can get which takes you to Baker Street (Madame Tussauds, Sherlock Holmes Museum and the Beatles Shop) and also onto Oxford Street, again, only 15mins away by bus. Regent's Park is 10-15 minutes away by bus (London Zoo). Close to overground and underground train stations and Kilburn High Road is 3 minutes walk from the flat where there are lots of supermarkets and amenities.
