East & West Croydon are about a 15 minute walk form the maisonette. Gatwick Airoport is approx 20 mins by train to East croydon. Perfect if you arrrive at Gatwick. Central London is also about 15-20 mins from East Croydon. It is situated close to shops, malls, restaurants, bars and clubs. You can get to downtown central London in 15 minutes and to Heathrow airport in 1 hour and 20 minutes. We have a wonderful variety of international restaurants directly under us on Stroud Green Road. And there are many shops and large Tescos supermarket right next door. Finsbury Park is a friendly melting pot community composed of Turkish, French, Spanish, Middle Eastern, Irish and English families. Description:We are letting out our home over the summer mid July until the end of August, which includes the period of the Olympics 27th July - 12th August 2012. Our house is one minute from Bethnal Green Tube (Central Line) and it's only a 6 minute journey by tube to Stratford, the main station for the Olympic Park, and 15 minutes from Oxford Circus. I am a musician and my husband is an artist. Our house is old, built about 1825. It's characterful, with many original features and stripped floorboards throughout, and is furnished simply and comfortably, We overlook Museum Gardens, The Museum of Childhood and St John's, a John Soanes' church. Description:THE FLAT My one bedroom flat is in zone 2 (postcode W10) and it's on the 4th floor (accessible with a lift). It has a big balcony over looking the 'Grand Union Canal'. From there you can sit and enjoy the evening sun and sunset while small house boats pass by. I love waking up in the morning being able to see the sky, it gives the flat a bright and airy feeling. My flat has dark wooden floor except in the bedroom where I have cream carpet. The bedroom has a double bed and the living room has a comfortable double bed sofa. I provide with bed linens, towels, washing liquid, shampoo and body wash- so one less thing for you to pack:-) And please feel free to have a cup of tea/coffee or some cereals whenever you want. THE AREA The flat is 5 minutes away from a huge Sainsbury's supermarket but a smaller convenience store is just cross the road. One of London's best yoga studios is in the same building There's also a very small gym down the road that currently charges £35/month with no sign up fee and can be cancelled at any time without penalties. The famous 'Portobello market' packed with boutique shops, antiques and lots of bars and restaurants is 10 minutes walk away. TRANSPORTATION The closest tube is Westborne Park which is also about 5-10 minutes walk away. Bus 23 takes you right from my house into Oxford street's busy shopping district in about 40 minutes (buses are slow in London...). One of UK's biggest shopping malls, Westfield, is 3 tube stops away. I have hosted models from all over the world through a model agency and I have also done a very successful 'home exchange' with a flat in Barcelona. I love hosting people making sure they feel at home in 'my' city (although I'm actually Swedish). I have free WiFi internet and of course, a washing machine but no dish washer. CHARGES FOR THE ENTIRE FLAT I'm flexible with the length of stay anything from a night to a month. I charge £100/night, £675/week, £2000/month. If you are more then two people, I add £15 per night/per person. However, during the London Olympic games (27/07-12/08) my flat is only available for a minimum of 3 weeks for a flat rate of £2000. During the Paralympic games (29/8-9/11) there's a minimum stay of 2 weeks for the flat rate of £1330. CHARGES FOR THE DOUBLE BED ROOM ONLY A cheaper option (£50 per person/per night) is to rent the double room only- with access to the kitchen and bathroom while I stay/sleep in the living room. This option is obviously less private but the good thing is that I'm here to assist you with any questions you might have about London- I can truly make you feel at home. As mentioned above, I have hosted models this way before and it worked out brilliantly! Again, I'm open for suggestions and I will try to get a deal that suits YOU. ADDITIONAL SERVICE If you want me to fill up the fridge with some food, or a bottle of champagne, just let me know and I'll buy it for you, one less worry for you.
