Description:Cordial and easygoing couple living in a beautiful, tranquil but accesible spot in the East End of London wish to share their home with like minded visitors. We're located in Zone 2, and a nine minute walk from Mile End Underground Station, along side the delightful Mile End Park. This station is serviced by three different tube lines, a 15 minute ride to the city centre and a 5 minute ride to the Olympic park in Stratford. We are offering to share our beautiful home with like minded people. This is a friendly household that will leave you to do your own thing but also happy to give any directions/info you may need to ensure your stay is perfect. Amenities nearby include breakfast Cafes, take away/delivery shops, supermarkets & restaurants, all within a ten minute walk radius. We offer a spacious, modern and quiet room with a very comfortable small double bed, wardrobe and writing desk. There’s a window seat overlooking the Regent’s canal in the room, where you can be lulled in the summer by the falling waters of Johnston Lock. You’ll have access to your own spacious private bathroom furnished with a bath/shower. Towels, bed linen and hair dryer are provided. Internet wireless connection is available and free. Description:We have the ultimate 'home away from home'. Built and restored by the owner, an architect, our one-bedroom ground floor maisonette has classic Victorian features such as high ceilings, timber floors and large sash windows. Our home is available to rent from the 25th December to the 20 January either over the whole duration or for short periods at a time. It's ideally sized for two sharing, but spacious enough for a group of four (sleeps two more on the futon). We'd probably be able to fit a fifth, though I don't think our French Chaise Lounge would lend anyone much rest. There are almost too many things to see and do around Hackney/Shorditch/London at large. We recommend getting a home roasted coffee from Climpson's before making your way down to the French vintage dealer to shop for quirky coats and bags -Bricklane street-market (stop off for a world famous curry while you're there) -Redchurch Street - great for Scandinavian inspired furniture stores, boutique shopping and plenty contemporary art galleries -Vyner street and its plentiful selection of art galleries -London's oldest flower market on Columbia Road every Sunday (a MUST!) - An assortment of old-world gastro pubs ans bistro style restaurants - A bus ride away from the Olympic site, as well as London's newest shopping extravaganza - Westfield Mall. Flat has tv, internet, stereo etc. Also the flat has tons of books in it so please have read while you are there The flat is in the middle of leafy queens park which has a lovely cafe, kids playground, tennis courts, pitch and putt and fab boules piste, great for a sunny afternoon! Nearby (3/4 minutes walk) is the main street, Salusbury Road, well known for its gastro pub, the Salusbury, lovely boutique shops as well as your local sainsburys and wine shop etc! There is also a fantastic farmers market every Sunday, which is great for browsing and picking up some Bristish food delights. Just up the road there are more shops, restaurants, pubs, music venues, 2 cinemas and more! We are only 15-20 minutes walk from the Portobello Road and the famous market and shops, and maybe 25 to Noting Hill gate. The flat is a great location for seeing all the London sites and also expereincing the secret delights of Queens Park.
