Description:Beautiful and homely Victorian house on a quiet residential street in the heart of buzzing and cosmopolitan West Hampstead village,north west London. The house is comprised of 1 good sized comfy double bedroom, which has good storage and a 2 seater leather sofa. There will also be fresh white bed linen and white towels for you in here. Also there is a fully fitted bathroom (bath and shower over the bath) with toiletries for your use, plus an additional W.C downstairs. There is an open plan living/dining room with a huge comfy leather sofa (that you won't ever want to leave!) and ideal for the third person to sleep on, there is a working gas fire (that looks like a real fire, but without having to shovel coal far too messy), and a bright eat-in kitchen with french doors leading to a lovely south facing patio garden. The kitchen has a gas hob and electric oven and microwave for all your culinary needs, under floor heating (a very nice touch especially in the winter!) a double stainless steel belfast sink that you won't have to use because there is a dishwasher! and a washing machine. There is also a breakfast table that can seat 4 people comfortably. On arrival there will be tea, coffee, milk and bread for you, a fresh fruit bowl provided and fresh flowers to welcome you. The garden has a large gas barbecue and full sized patio heater for those cooler nights when you still want to enjoy the outdoors. Plus there are a table and chairs and 2 sun loungers for those sunny days to soak up the rays in this sun trap of a garden. Yes we do get wonderful sunshine, and even though you're not in sunny Spain, you will feel like you are!!! The house has all the amenities you could wish for on your doorstep. There are numerous coffee shops including Starbucks, Costa Coffee and Cafe Nero in the village. And there is a fantastic array of restaurants including Strada, Pizza Express, La Brocca (a great Italian), Nandos (for the chicken lover), and Banana Tree (my favourite for Thai/Indonesian cuisine), fabulous pubs (The Alice House for a young buzzy atmosphere with year round heated outside seating, and the Alliance Pub for a quieter and friendly gastropub experience) and many bars that all serve great food. Not forgetting several hair salons and charity shops, stylish clothing boutiques, a fabulous book shop, a bike shop, a bakery open until midnight every night (for a late night freshly made bagel on a Friday night on your way back from the pub) convenience stores, a Tesco Metro and Sainsbury's Local, Barclay's Bank, and plenty ATM machines. Fantastic take away food is also available in the area of any type of cuisine you could wish for. I will leave out my favourite selection of take away menus for your convenience (they all know me very well!) With great transport links into the West End, you can reach Soho in 10 minutes on the underground, 20 minutes by bus and 15 minutes by car. Taxi into the West End is approximately £15. West Hampstead underground station (the closest station) is a 10 minute walk, as is the Silverlink overground train station and the Thameslink station is a 5 minute walk away. From this station you can reach London St Pancras in 9 minutes directly for all Eurostar connections plus national and regional train connections, as well as a direct train to London Luton Airport and Gatwick Airport from here. Heathrow is 30-40 minutes by car or train, Luton 30-45 minutes by car or train, Gatwick being 1 hour away. Local taxi numbers will be provided to help make getting around the city hassle free. Free parking is available on request. The stunning Hampstead heath is within walking distance for fabulous surroundings and a lido and swimming pond if you're feeling brave! and Regent's Park is only 10 minutes away where you can hire a row boat or catch some Shakespeare in the amphitheatre if you are lucky! Also there is a VUE multiplex cinema a 10 minute walk away in the Finchley Road 02 centre to see your favourite blockbuster movie. We have high speed wireless internet connection, and Sky in the living room with all movie channels, a DVD player, VCR, and surround sound system, and an all-in-one easy to use music system. It is a fully alarmed property for peace of mind. There is a cleaning charge of £40 payable upon arrival to the person giving you the keys if you are staying more than 2 nights. Description:This is a rare opportunity to stay in a lovely house with a huge garden which feels just like being in the country but is within 30 minutes of central London. It 's ideal for a family or for those who will appreciate the space and absence of hustle and bustle after a day in town. The house is on a private, tree lined, no-through road, standing entirely in its own grounds with a driveway with parking for 3 cars. nThe area is very highly regarded - near neighbours are Yasmin and Simon Le Bon. Getting into central London is easy: it 's a 5 minute walk to Barnes Station and then 15 minutes to Waterloo by train. Alternatively hop on a bus to take you over Hammersmith Bridge and catch the tube (District, Circle and Piccadilly lines) from Hammersmith tube station. You are just 20 minutes walk from the River Thames and the same distance from lovely Richmond Park. nA small downside of which you should be aware is that the property is quite close to one of the Heathrow airport flight paths and from time to time aircraft pass overhead, however this is only when the wind is in a certain direction, never lasts more than half a day and is always absent from 10.00pm to 6.00am. Residents say that after a short time you get so used to it you don 't even notice! nThe house is ideal for the larger family, comfortably sleeping 6/7 in 2 double and 2 single bedrooms. A good fold-away bed can be put in one of the large single bedroom for the 7th person. There are 2 bathrooms and an additional downstairs loo. nThe house was built in the 1930s and has been totally modernised within the last 5 years. It 's the home of a successful artist so the walls are covered with original paintings (both his and his friends '), his wife and their two children (14 and 11). It 's beautifully presented in classic English style. The ground flood has attractive wooden flooring throughout. nThe front door opens onto a central hallway which in turn leads out into the terrace and the garden through two sliding glass doors. To the right of the hallway is the dining room and kitchen, to the left the formal drawing room and the study/TV room. There 's also a guest loo/cloakroom. All the public rooms and 3 of the bedrooms front onto the garden. nThe drawing room is quite formal and furnished with a 2 seater sofa, two arm chairs and a low Ottoman round a central coffee table. There are side tables and lamps. A coal-effect gas fire provides a cosy touch in winter. nThe dining room has an elegant wooden table and seating for 10. There 's a good upright piano which you are welcome to play. Again a coal-effect gas fire provides a cosy touch in winter. nNext door is the study/TV room with seating for 5/6, a TV with digital channels, Xbox (which will play DVDs) and VCR. There 's a computer in this room with broadband internet access which you are welcome to use - or you can bring your own laptop and plug it in. French windows lead out onto terrace and garden. nThe good sized family kitchen, with a table and seating for 6/8, has all the expected appliances including a microwave and dishwasher (and TV stereo system with a collection of pop, blues and jazz CDs). nThe washing machine and dryer are in a separate utility area. nAll the sleeping accommodation is upstairs on the first floor. The master bedroom has a 6ft wide bed and overlooks the garden. It has its own en-suite bathroom (bath hand shower, twin his and hers basins, and loo). nThe second double with a 5ft bed also overlooks the garden. nThe two single bedrooms (the children 's rooms) are large and spacious and festooned with teen and near-teen posters and images. One overlooks the garden and either is large enough to take the additional fold-away bed if needed for a 7th (please advise when booking). These share the second bathroom - super-modern separate power shower, bath, basin and loo. nThe garden side of the house faces west so has excellent sun from mid-day onwards. The terrace between the house and the lawn has an outside table and seating for 8/10 and can be shaded with a retractable sun awning if required. There 's a good BBQ available too. The garden is a major plus point especially if you have kids. But please be aware that there is a garden pond and so this rental may not be suitable for families with very young children. nWhy not be really English and have a game of Croquet - there 's a full Croquet set available which you 're welcome to use. How to play Croquet. nDon 't think that being out in the country means that you are miles from the shops and any reasonable restaurants. Within 5 minutes walk there 's a parade which includes a late opening convenience store, a video/DVD hire shop, an excellent Nepalese restaurant, a friendly Italian restaurant and pizza delivery (order by phone and then come and collect and they operate a buy one get one free policy!). Description:This is the house that fell down - literally! 4 years ago the underpinning designed to make their 1846 house more stable caused it to collapse suddenly and spectacularly into a pile of rubble. Since then the owners, a successful writer and her husband, have had it completely re-built - no underpinning and subsidence problems this time! They loved their old house and wanted it back in the same style as before. The result is a splendid large Victorian family house with 21st century technology: under-floor heating, smart modern bathrooms, low voltage dimmable halogen lighting throughout and a broadband internet connection in every room (bring your own laptop and lead to connect it to a standard RJ45 socket, and ensure it is configured to connect to a LAN). nYour nearest tube, 2 minutes walk, is Royal Oak (Hammersmith and City Lines), Bayswater (Circle and District Lines) and Queensway (Central Line) are within 10 minutes. nThe house comfortably sleeps 8 adults in 3 double bedrooms and 2 singles, with 3 bathrooms. A further 2 children / young adults can be accommodated on put-me-up beds in 2 of the double rooms. There 's off street car parking for 2 cars at the front of the house. nThe accommodation, presented in comfortable English style, is on 3 floors. On the ground floor the hall opens onto a huge (23ft x 13ft9, 7m x 4.2m) formal reception room, which is the family music room. There are easy chairs, a working coal-effect gas fire and a good piano. If the dining table is moved through the double doors from the kitchen/dining area next door the room also makes an excellent formal dining room. nThe kitchen/dining area (20ft x 17ft6, 6.1m x 5.30m) has a smart modern kitchen (twin electric ovens, gas hob, granite work top, dishwasher, etc. etc.. There 's no microwave but there is an ice making machine. The dining area has an antique dining table 8 chairs. This gives out onto a paved patio with garden furniture and a good-sized attractive garden - a real plus if you have children. nThere 's also a downstairs loo/cloakroom on this floor. nOn the first floor are the drawing room and the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The drawing room (19ft9 x 15ft9, 6m x 4.8m) is designed as a comfortable family room. There 's a 3 seater sofa and an arm chair - when these places are taken the remaining members of the family just spread out on the carpet! As might be expected in the house of a writer one entire wall is given over to bookshelves and books. To complete the room there 's a TV (digital channels, VCR and DVD), stereo and working coal-effect gas fire (very cosy in winter). nThe attractive master bedroom (15ft6 x 13ft, 4.7m x 4m) has a 4ft6 bed. The large French windows open onto a balcony which overlooks the garden. The high quality marble en-suite bathroom has bath with power shower, twin his and hers basins and a loo. nOn the top floor there are a further 4 bedrooms: 2 doubles, one of which overlooks the garden and two singles. Two put-me-up beds suitable for children / young adults are available for each of the top floor doubles. There are another two marble bathrooms, one with shower, basin and loo, the other with bath (with hand shower), basin and loo. The laundry facilities (washer and separate dryer) are on this floor. nThe house is very close to Westbourne Road and Queensway, in a great position to experience one of the most cosmopolitan parts of London, famed for its huge variety of restaurants of every sort and culture serving cuisine from literally all over the world. Description:Large houses to rent right in the centre of town are few and far between - if you can find them they cost a king 's ransom. But a short tube or bus ride from the main tourist areas, with a little luck, you can discover properties in pleasant, quiet, residential areas that will take a larger group. Our recent find, a house in Foskett Road - Fulham, is one such discovery. nThe property is in a quiet street at the Putney Bridge end of The New Kings Road. Transport links are excellent. Putney Bridge underground station (District line) is just 3 minutes walk away making the West End, Kensington and the City very accessible. There are also excellent bus links that take you to the centre of town in 15 minutes. Fulham Palace Gardens and Bishop 's Park with attractive riverside walks are just a 5 minute walk. nThe house, arranged over 3 floors and sleeps 6/8 people in one double, one twin and two small doubles - both with 4ft6 beds. There are two bathrooms and a downstairs cloakroom/loo. nThe property is owned by an American lady who now spends much of her life in Italy. She has decorated and furnished it in English country style - light coloured fabrics, wooden floors, hand-painted furniture. nThe front door opens onto a hallway/passageway at the end of which is the kitchen/dining area. As in many modernised London houses the living area (26ft x 10ft6, 8m x 3.2m) is two rooms that have been converted into one giving lots more space and light from windows at both ends. There 's seating for 7/8 on 2 sofas and three chairs, a TV with satellite channels (including CNN) and VCR, a modest stereo system and wifi broadband internet connection - bring your own laptop. nThe kitchen/dining area (21ft6 x 11ft6, 6.5m x 3.5m) nincorporates a conservatory so this room is incredibly light. It 's east facing so you are greeted by the sun at breakfast. In fine weather the conservatory 's double doors can be opened and the outside patio area (15ft6 x 10ft6, 4.7m x 3.2m) becomes part of the living space. Blue is the theme here with the wooden floor limed blue, the kitchen walls Sea Mist blue and the conservatory Duck Egg blue. The dining table comfortably seats 8. The modern kitchen has all the expected appliances including dishwasher, microwave and American style washer and separate dryer. nThere are 3 bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom (15ft x 13ft9, 4.6m x 4.2m) with 5ft double bed is on the street side and has a door opening onto a small balcony. There are two 3ft beds in the twin bedroom (11ft6 x 11ft6, 3.5m x 3.5m). The third bedroom has a 4ft6 double bed - cosy for two, spacious for just one. These bedrooms share a bathroom with bath hand shower, basin and loo. nThe fourth bedroom (15ft x 12ft6, 4.6m x 3.85m) on the top floor also has a 4ft6 bed. It has its own en-suite bathroom with bath hand shower, basin and loo. nThere 's a good selection of pubs, restaurants and bars etc. within 10 minutes walk: on The Kings Road at Parson 's Green, on nearby Fulham Road, or over Putney Bridge in Putney, where you will find the Putney Bridge Restaurant, awarded a Michelin star for their fine cuisine. nPolicy: Smoking not allowed... more info >>

Description:This flat is ideal for a couple who want a bit more space. It 's actually a two bedroom / two bathroom apartment but only on offer as a one bedroom / one bathroom flat, with the owner 's private area not accessible. However this means that the living area is considerably larger than you would expect from a flat just for two people. The apartment owner 's connections with India are evidenced by the fine floor rugs, wall hangings and some of the furniture. nThe apartment, which is just off the Fulham Road - many good restaurants cafes and pubs, is on the first floor of a portered mansion block (good lift) and sleeps 2 people. The Brompton Road and The Kings Road are both within a 5 minute walk. Your nearest tube station is South Kensington (Piccadilly, District and Circle lines), less than a 10 minute walk. nThe front door opens onto an attractive corridor off which lead the rooms. The living room (18ft9, 13ft, 5.7m x 4m) has 2 three seater sofas, 3 arm chairs, a glass coffee table, TV (cable channels) VCR and a modest stereo system (bring your own CDs). Please note: there is no dining table. nThe modern kitchen has a double sink and all the expected appliances including a dishwasher and washing machine. There is a small built-in table and two chairs suitable for breakfasts and quick kitchen suppers. nThe bedroom (13ft9 x 12ft6, 4.2m x 3.75m) has a 4ft6 wide bed, ample storage space in built-in cupboards and a second television. In the summer, with windows open, you will hear some traffic noise from The Fulham Road but it should not bother anyone used to city life. nThe modern bathroom has a bath hand and over shower, basin and loo. nThe flat has wifi broadband internet access and you also have access to the private communal gardens. nThe area abounds with good restaurants, nice bars and places with character. You are on Sloane Square where there are some very smart shops (Tiffany's, Cartier, Pringle, Hackett's etc.) and 2 minutes from The Kings Road with its blend of high fashion and street-wise culture reminiscent of the 60s, numerous shops, pubs, café,s and restaurants. nRanelagh Gardens and the grounds of The Royal Hospital (where the annual Chelsea Flower Show is held) which are open to the public are a 5 minute stroll. nAre you into antiques?
