Description:A three story Arts and Crafts style home built on the waters edge. A curved concrete drive takes you to the entry door of this lovely home. The spacious living area which connects to the, large and elegant kitchen as well as the dining area is the focal point of the main entry level. The kitchen has granite counter tops, a gas cook top, double ovens, wine refrigerator and an extra large fridge. The dining table can accommodate ten, plus four bar stools at the kitchen counter. The living room features a large leather sofa, club chairs, a gas log fireplace, television with DVD/VCR and a stereo. Entry to the covered deck overlooking the lake cove is accessed from the great room. There is one bedroom on the main level with a queen bed which shares access to the full bath with shower, from the common hall. There is also a large laundry room on this level, which accommodates an extra ice maker as well.The upper level has the master retreat complete with a king bed, a large private bath which has a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. This suite has private access to a large covered porch which overlooks the lake. The second bedroom is a spacious guest retreat, complete with two double beds and games galore. This is a perfect room for the teens or single members of your group. A full bath with a shower is located off this guest room.Two of the three master suites are on the lower level. This first has a king bed and features a full wet bar, a large private bath with Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. This suite also has a private covered porch which overlooks the lake. The second master suite features a queen bed with a private full bath. This suite has a private entry to the stone terrace where the hot tub is located. A stepping path from the hot tub terrace, leads to the sixth bedroom, which has a separate outside entrance. There is also a full laundry with washer and dryer located on this lower level.The sixth bedroom has a bunk bed, a full bath with a tub/shower combination and the only entrance to this room is from the exterior, about halfway from hot tub terrace and the lakefront. This bedroom also accommodates the ping-pong table and is a convenient kid’s room or private retreat for singles. The waterfront provides for a small sandy beach which is great for kids to ease into the water. A long boardwalk winds around the shore and is connected on the far end to another lakeside rental, Laurel Point. Book both for large family gatherings on the lake! Use of a pontoon boat is included in the rental of A LAKE ESCAPE. Boating restrictions and regulations apply and use is subject to a short boating safety and operation course conducted at the home by our BOAT MASTER. The layout is terrific for several families as private areas are available on all three floors; even the covered porches are private. Description:The home is situated within the 3,000 acre resort community known as Rumbling Bald Resort on the north end of Lake Lure. Bald Mountain Lake Lodge sits on a large parcel of land on the edge of Bald Mountain Lake. The grounds are level with a gentle slope and steps leading to the waterfront and dock.The entry level offers a comfortable living area with a beautiful stone fireplace and patio doors that open onto the screen porch. There are two guest bedrooms and a full bath just off the living area. “Sadie's Garden” Guest Room accommodates a queen bed. The other guest room, “Bearberry” accommodates a very comfortable double bed. On the opposite side of the main living area and one step down, is a spacious kitchen; complete with all the necessities to make sure you have everything you need to prepare meals for large or small groups. The kitchen overlooks the “Gathering Room” that serves as a family dining and gathering area. Just off the “Gathering Room” is a half bath, steps that lead both to the upper and lower levels, and a Master Bedroom called “Magnolia Wood”. This pretty woodsy bedroom has a king size log bed and a private full bath with shower. The upper level accommodates two Master Suites. The first is called, Mountain Moonlight. This spacious room has a king bed and daybed for your convenience we have added a small microwave, and TV. A full bath with tub and separate shower are located within this suite. The second Master on this level is our “Sassafras” room. This delightful room has a queen size log bed, television, and a very pretty private bath with a shower. The lower level features large family room, perfect for TV viewing, with a small game table and lots of board games. Also on this lower level is a bedroom we call, Native Dance” This room offers a queen bed and a private bath with a tub/shower combination. A covered porch and laundry room with a large capacity washer and dryer, complete the lower level floor plan.The seventh bedroom is what we call the Smokey Mountain Bunk and Billiard Room” This spacious room is located just outside the main level screen porch and deck and is only accessible from the exterior. This room accommodates a bunk bed with twin on top and full on the bottom. A futon is also located in this room. The billiard table, a television, and an extra refrigerator are provided as well as a half bath. This space is a convenient and great area for sleeping kids or teens. The grounds of the Lodge have been designed to accommodate a large family group, with an outdoor cooking center that has both gas and charcoal grills, a fire pit, and nice seating areas. A large grassy area provides a terrific spot for horseshoes and volleyball. The waterfront is easily viewed from the cooking center so that you can keep an eye on swimmers. A large dock on the water plus a long fishing side pier provides lots of room for sunbathing and fishing. A Hot Tub, Canoe and 2 Kayaks are provided. There is a PONTOON BOAT on Lake Lure, docked at the resort marina for your use. The kitchen and dining areas are also open to the rest of the main level, the kitchen is well stocked and includes a dishwasher and refrigerator with ice maker. The dining table seats 8 people, 4 additional may be seated at a game table behind the living area. Enjoy your favorite song while preparing dinner, the dining area also has a stereo system with radio, CD player, and IPOD docking station. There is a screened in porch that runs the full length of the living room and dining room, great for either starting or winding down your day, relax and listen to the stream babble. The deck off of the living area connects to this screened in porch and has a gas grill for your summer cook outs! There are two bedrooms on the main level, the first is a spacious master bedroom with queen sized bed, the private bathroom features double sinks/vanities, and a separate room within with tub/shower combination. The second bedroom on this level has two twin sized beds. This second bedroom shares a full bathroom with the rest of the home. Downstairs at Bliss by the Lake, you will walk into a game room with sofa, chair, and foosball table. Try to see how many times you can win before being called to dinner! The laundry area is also accessed from this room. There are two additional bedrooms on the lower level, the first is another large bedroom with king sized bed and the second has two twin beds. The den features two sofas, one of which pulls out into a bed for extra sleeping space. There is a TV with VCR but we doubt you will use it with the great outdoors calling your name! This den also has a table with 4 chairs for playing checkers or cards at the end of the day. Outdoors at Bliss by the Lake is really the place to be! The large yard is perfect for lawn games; volleyball, horseshoes and badminton are provided, you will also find a picnic table and bench to sit and just take in the view. This along with the porch swing outside may make this your favorite living space. The stairs in the yard lead to the waterfront where you can either swim, launch the three canoes and kayak that come with the rental or just watch the kids play. Bald Mountain Lake is known for the great fishing, make sure to get your NC fishing license while in town! There is a ladder going into the water for easy access. A spacious parking area is located at the end of the drive and is just a few steps from the front walkway. The views of the lake are apparent as soon as you walk in the front door! This well furnished and decorated home has a total of 4 bedrooms and 2 ½ baths. Enjoy the views while dining in the bay alcove, or on the covered deck. The Master Bedroom is located on the main level and accommodates a King Bed, private bath with double vanity and a large double shower. Ample closets both walk-in and pantry style provides lots of room for swimsuits and luggage. Double patio doors open onto the deck which overlooks the lake and yard and picnic area. The pretty kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need to prepare any type of meal. The living area sits slightly below the kitchen and dining, creating a cozy retreat. A beautiful old stone fireplace is its centerpiece. A small TV and CD player are located in the living area. Just off the kitchen are a powder room and laundry facility as well as access to the garage which is where you will find a game table for table tennis, darts, and a small seating area.From the living room, steps lead to the lower level family room which features ample seating to view the TV, as well as a small game table. The large sectional sofa converts to sleeping. One full bath with a tub/shower combination is located just off the family room as are the three guest bedrooms. The larger bedroom has a king bed, the other a queen bed; and the there is also a set of twin beds. This lower level provides direct access to the lakefront through patio doors. There is also a small side covered patio to enjoy the out of doors, a picnic table and fire pit on the grounds and a large dock for sunbathing, swimming or fishing. A canoe is provided for your enjoyment; just remember you must wear a lifejacket, and we have provided those too! Several floats and water toys are available. Remember, all the amenities of the resort are available for your use, which includes indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center, spa, private beach on Lake Lure, tennis, golf and much more. “Cottage Walk” is about a 5-minute drive from the private amenities at the resort.Sometimes the owner’s will allow well-behaved smaller dogs. If you want to bring all members of your family, just ask us and we will do our best to accommodate!!Manager’s comments: You can’t find a more perfect and serene setting than what the waterfront at Cottage Walk provides. It is less than ½ mile to the resort’s marina, golf, beach, tennis courts and pools. The main level has a living room, kitchen/dining, a master bedroom with a king bed and adjoining study with a twin day bed, and a full bath and laundry area. The upper floor has 2 bedrooms, (one has a twin futon and the other has a double), and a full bath. The home has a large deck on the back of the house with a gas grill and outdoor table.
