Description:This architect designed split-level cabin, Mountain Laurel, is situated on a ridgetop at an elevation of 2900 feet at Gateway Mountain, a 3000 acre gated nature preserve and mountain residential community. (see Gateway link below.) n nThe cabin is nestled on almost four acres among large wild mountain laurels surrounded by a hardwood forest with pastoral valleys and distant mountain views. Quiet surroundings allow our guests to experience the woods and all her creatures with no distractions from the noises typically found in a city or from traffic. n nThe cabin features two bedrooms, two baths, and a family room with a sleeper queen couch. On the upper level is the large open living, dining, and kitchen area, with a woodstove and an outside deck with a gas grill, the master bedroom with king bed, bathroom and walk-in closet. On the lower level is the guest bedroom and full bathroom, a family room with a big screen TV and both open to an adjacent private outside patio. There is also a single car garage. n nYou will sleep like a baby in the peace and quiet and awaken to the sun and mountain views that you will savor and remember forever. n nSpecial features include a slated entry hall, wood flooring, wood ceilings, windows everywhere, marble tiled bathrooms, granite countertops and custom kitchen cabinets. All applicances are Kitchen-Aid. The cabin is well appointed, completely furnished and equipped and includes a washer and a dryer and a cappuccino/espresso machine. n nConveniently located near Asheville and Black Mountain, in Old Fort, Gateway Mountain is an easy drive just 7 miles off Interstate 40, which situates you midway between the large city of Asheville with the famous Biltmore House and Mast General Store, 29 miles away, and, 15 miles from the resort town of Black Mountain with its quaint antique and gift shops and great restaurants. Traveling south, a 30 minute scenic drive takes you to Lake Lure where you 'll find family fun with a swimming beach, water park, scenic boat tours, twilight dinner cruises, paddle boat and pontoon boat rentals. There are also several beautiful golf courses in the area. n nIt 's 45 minutes to historic downtown Hendersonville and nearby Flat Rock Playhouse, also near Chimney Rock Park, Mount Pisgah, and Mount Mitchell State Parks. Description:Welcome to Pawley’s Place! This is a wonderful 4 bedroom 3 ½ bath home that is lake front on Lake Lure with all the comforts of home, just in a more interesting location!This is a easily accessible home as there are no stairs from the parking area to the front entry door, walk in to the main level to find the well stocked kitchen complete with dishwasher and ice maker, as well as a small table with stools for 2. The kitchen is open to the Dining Room which has a large dining table with 6 additional chairs. This room flows into the Living area which offers a large stone gas fireplace for usage during the cooler months, TV, stereo system, and DVD player as well as ample seating space for friends and family to gather, talk, play games, or watch the lake and just enjoy each others company. There is a large sun porch that is accessible from this main level where you will find a seat for soaking up the sun and relaxing while cooking out on the gas grill. The main level of this home also includes a half bath and a laundry area as well as one of the large master suites with a king bed and private bathroom.Going upstairs from the main level you will find the second master suite with a king sized bed, this is a very large bedroom with a private bath, private balcony overlooking the lake, and a gas fireplace for the winter months. Downstairs from the main level you will walk into the family room which has a TV with DVD player, lots of seating space, game table and a ping pong table for your guests to enjoy. If your stay is during winter, snuggle up by the third stone gas fireplace and watch the snow fall. There are also two spacious bedrooms on this level, one with a king sized bed and the other with three sets of twin bunk beds. The bathroom downstairs is shared by the rest of this level and is equipped with a full bath that includes a tub/shower combo and double vanity. The screened in porch is accessed from the family room and is a great gathering area during the summer months, sit in the rocking chairs and watch the kids play on the waterfront. The outdoor living areas are an amazing feature of this home, there is a sloping yard with very easy stairs to the waterfront from the house. Rental of Pawley’s Place includes usage of a pontoon boat, paddle boat, and two kayaks during your stay. The cove where this home is located is open and quiet. A truly wonderful location for swimming, fishing, or paddling around the shoreline. Feel free to take the pontoon boat out during the summer months to tour Lake Lure and take in all of the natural beauty of the mountains and lake here in our little piece of heaven! Pawley’s Place also has high speed wireless internet access at no additional cost to your stay. **June through August this home must be rented Saturday to Saturday**While the paddle boat and kayaks are available year round, the pontoon boat is only available from Memorial Day weekend through November 15th. Description:The entry level of this pretty home is just a few steps from the parking area. The comfy great room has a stone fireplace with an electric log insert, and a 42’ flat screen TV with DVD/VCR and Blue Ray Disc players. The dining portion of the great room has a country table with ample seating and is adjacent to the fully equipped kitchen. The oversized Master bedroom is located off the dining area and has cathedral ceilings, a large walk-in closet, and a king bed. Patio doors provide access to the covered portion of the upper deck. The spacious master bath includes a TV, a phone, double sinks with vanity and a large walk-in “shower for two” that comes equipped with body jets. The other king size bedroom is located on the opposite end of the great room and has a full size bath which includes a walk-in shower. This bath also has access to the kitchen hall. The 36-foot upper deck running the length of the house has a BBQ Grill, picnic table; patio set with padded chairs, chaise lounge and provides a spot to enjoy the beautiful view of the lake below. The upper level features an open hall that overlooks the great room below. The open hall provides access to two additional bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with two twins. The bedrooms share a Jack n’ Jill full bath with a tub/shower.The lower level has a queen bed and there is an extra set of bunks for additional sleeping. A pool table, foosball, and TV provide for hours of enjoyment in this space, and there is even an arcade game. A full bath and laundry area with washer and dryer are also located on the lower level. This level is a great space for the kids, or if two families are traveling together, each will have their own living and kitchen space.The ground level deck is accessible from the lower level family room and kitchen. This covered deck has a picnic table, two Adirondack chairs and an oversized hot tub. The waterfront is easily accessed from the stepping stone path. When you arrive at the waterfront, entry into the water is easy and provides a really comfortable area for swimming. The spacious dock accommodates a Pontoon Boat, Paddle Boat and Canoe. If you need more space, ask about BEAR FOOTIN which acommodates 6 people, located next door. Manager's Comments: We love this house. It has a nice long paved private drive which takes you right to the front door. We consistently receive outstanding comments from guests who have stayed here. The owner's have equipped this home with fun game tables and the two decks and 2 kitchens provide great space for two families!Aspiration also offers: six TV’s, five DVD/VCR’s, one Blue Ray Disc Player, stereo system, nine ceiling fans, pack n’ play, highchair, DVD and Blue Ray Disc Movies, three AC units and ample parking.
