Description:Asheville is such a wonderful place to visit! I love living here next to the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are amazing restaurants, microbreweries (we are the 1 beer city in the country), hiking, river sports, music scene, theater, eclectic shops, and so much more that you will absolutely fall in love with our beautiful town. When you stay in my home, you will truly experience the serenity of this country like setting and the convenience of being just 10 minutes from downtown. You will have your own bedroom with a queen bed with your own bathroom in my 3 bedroom 2 bath house. I have an open room to use for yoga, dance, tai chi, etc. Hardwood floors are throughout the home. There are 5 acres of woods in the back. There is no TV, but if you bring your laptop you can surf the web and watch movies. I'll provide some movies for you to choose from. A make it yourself breakfast is included in the price which consists of my farm fresh eggs, homemade muffins, homemade jam, fresh fruit, OJ, coffee and tea. I have a business that I run out of my home, so I'm here most all the time during the day. I love to meet people from other places and hear their stories if you'd like to share. I have chickens and an organic garden and the girls would be delighted to have you give them treats! I look forward to meeting you and sharing my space, Michelle... more info >>

Description:The Little Sister is a sweet, quiet, cozy apartment attached to our home in north Asheville, a short 5 minute drive from art infused downtown Asheville, and a 10 minute walk from the historic Grovepark Inn (spa treatments, glass of wine on their porch). The apartment has a back porch that overlooks our beautiful flower and vegetable garden (our guests can even enjoy the fruits of that if they like), and the neighborhood is wonderful for walking, biking and running. Beautiful Beaver Lake is short walk away, which is great for a walk, run or ride. We are happy to direct to hikes on the Blue Ridge Parkway and can tell you where to get supplies - we'll even lend you a backpack or cooler if you need it. Numerous restaurants, and stores are within walking distance so the location is quite convenient - there is even a brewery that shows $3 movies and serves great pizza within a 10 minute walk (Asheville Pizza). There is a fully equipped kitchen, wireless internet, satellite TV (even has DVR for recording your favorite shows), a comfortable queen size bed, and air conditioning. See more information on our own . If we can make your trip better in any way, we'll try. We don't typically offer breakfast, but we do supply coffee with cream and sugar. If you'd like us to pick up bagels, juice and fruit for your arrival, we'd be happy to do that for $15 for two people per day. If you like exciting bike rides, we can recommend a few for you - we even have one extra bike for your use. There are great rides from the apartment up Sunset Mountain - big climbs and fast ascents! The neighborhood is very popular for running and walking as well. To see more information and calendar go to our and look at the Little Sister.... more info >>

Description:Experience Asheville's premiere Montford Historic District in a completely private, quiet, spacious guest apartment. Located in a beautiful two story, owner-occupied home, the apartment is on the second floor on the left hand side of the house. The home is on a quiet side street and offers off-street parking and a safe and friendly neighborhood. RETURNING GUESTS RECEIVE DISCOUNTS! $90 OFF MONTHLY RENTAL AND $60 OFF WEEKLY RENTAL Enjoy the lovely back yard gardens and be entertained by my seven goofy chickens. I am happy to dispel any misconceptions you might have about roosters waking you up at 4 a.m. Roosters are not allowed in the city! My girls' coop is located in far away enough from the house that the only sound you might hear when the windows are open is their enthusiastic announcement of an egg for your morning omelet! Under a wide canopy of large trees enjoy a short walk to downtown. On your way you'll see historic homes built in the early 1900's and luxury bed and breakfasts like The Lion and The Rose and The Black Walnut Inn. Side walks still have some of the original bricks from the early 1900's. If you happen to be here on a Wednesday from April through November and decide to walk downtown for lunch, stop at the local farmer's market on the way back. It's located in the parking lot of the Chamber of Commerce. You'll find artisan goat cheese, pastries, music, fresh flowers and vegetables, all locally grown. Perhaps you'll stop in one of our two neighborhood pubs, Tod's Tasties Cafe and Nine Mile Cafe, which is just two blocks from the apartment. In the other direction, north, you'll find the Asheville Botanical Garden an easy walk. Each species of native vegetation is marked for easy identification. Enjoy the quaint gift shop. Adjacent to the Botanical Gardens is University of North Carolina's Asheville campus, often voted one of the best and most affordable small liberal arts college. The University is home to The North Carolina Center for Creative Retirement which operates The College for Seniors (you don't have to be a senior to attend classes). From the website, The North Carolina Center for Creative Retirement (NCCCR) is an award-winning, internationally-acclaimed learning community dedicated to promoting lifelong learning, leadership, community service, and research. Rolling Stone Magazine named Asheville's premiere music club, The Orange Peel, Number 5 on it's list of Top Music venues in the country. Ashevillian, Robert Moog, who invented the Moog synthesizer, left a giant legacy. Experience how his invention effected the music world in the Moog museum (easy walk) downtown and join others who journey from all over the world who attend the annual October Moogfest. More about the apartment.....The shower with claw foot tub has plenty of hot water and excellent water pressure. Amenities also include a top-quality queen-size bed, a fully equipped modern kitchen and bathroom, separate dining area, soft comfy furniture, high thread-count cotton linens. On site eco-considerations: organically raised chickens (NO ROOSTERS), rain barrels for water cachement, organic vegetable gardens, composting, and vermiculture (worms eat my garbage and provide me with their nutrient rich castings). More than two? Extra sleeping quarters are on the Living Room Futon. A padded topper is available for additional comfort. Warm and cozy tee shirt sheets are provided. Plenty of blankets and pillows. Secured Wi-fi connection is provided. A welcome basket of instant hot chocolate, herbal teas and FRESH EGGS awaits your arrival. Come see for yourself why Asheville has been called The Paris of the South. RETURNING GUESTS RECEIVE 10% OFF THE MONTHLY RATE. A savings of $90. RETURNING GUESTS RECEIVE 10% OFF THE WEEKLY RATE. Description:My house in Asheville NC is a completely remodeled historic home built 100 years ago. Regarding the location, I live in a safe, quiet middle class neighborhood very close to downtown. The walk to restaurants, clubs and bars is around 7-10 minutes, depending on where you're headed. If you're here during April-October, I live just up the street, ( 2 minute walk ) from one of the nicest tailgate farmers' markets in the city. There is plenty of room between my house and the neighbors, so when you look outside you see nature, not other people. The space I'm renting out is the first floor, which you'll have all to yourself since my boyfriend and I live on the second floor. It's around 800 square feet. All of the facilities described below are private and not shared. The apartment has thick walls and new windows, so the heater and the AC function efficiently, and noise from outside is minimal. There's a private entrance for you which we never use. (PLEASE NOTE: The stairs that lead from the street up to the entrance are quite steep, so if you have physical limitations please consider this when booking). You'll find a very comfortable queen size Tempur Pedic bed with nice linens to sleep soundly in, and a queen size futon that can be used for a couch in the cozy living room area, or converted to an extra bed. There's a separate kitchenette with microwave, fridge, sink & countertop, toaster oven, coffee maker and electric kettle as well as a small dining table and all the utensils you will need. There's a nice newly remodeled full bathroom. All of the water in the house is on a filtration system making it great for drinking and showers. There is wireless internet access. You'll have a private covered porch. In the winter you can see downtown clearly from your window, but in the other seasons the view is of the trees. It's a really beautiful place. Parking is easy, there's always a spot on my street. Although the apartment is separate, renters and host are able to hear each other. The spiral stairway between the 2 floors of the house is sealed off with thick foam which cuts down on, but does not eliminate, sounds traveling between the 2 spaces. I look forward to hosting you in beautiful Asheville town.... more info >>
