It is a short ride to everything you want to do in the Asheville area, from wonderful dining, gorgeous hiking, and antiquing. The Biltmore estate is 15 minutes away. After a day of sightseeing and adventure, Luca’s Place is a great place to call home. Here you can cook a meal in the fully appointed kitchen, watch TV, go on the internet, or just relax. Our semi-detached apartment has a very large living room and dining area with a fully equipped tiled kitchen and a tiled bath with a large shower. The bedroom has a queen size bed with a pillowtop mattress. There is a very comfortable queen size sofa with a pull-out bed in the living room. The apartment has its own driveway and entrance, is located on an acre of land and is a great place to relax after a day of exploring Asheville or as an alternative to a motel on a business trip. Asheville boasts activities which will satisfy all in your travel party. Hiking trails and outdoor activities such as horseback riding, canoeing, whitewater rafting are within easy driving distance. Skiiing and zipline within a 20 minute drive. For the shopper in your group Asheville has a host of antique shops, boutiques, art galleries, and crafts. Evening activities include diverse dining options, movies, live theatre, live music, or just walking through Asheville's lively downtown filled with street performers and art. Description:We have been hosting our friends and family here for twenty years. Now you can stay here too! You will enjoy sitting in front of the fireplace or on the deck with a glass of wine after a nice dinner. The house has two bedrooms, each with a full bathroom. The dining room seats six comfortably. One bedroom has a queen bed, and the other has twin beds. A sleeper sofa in the living room enables sleeping accommodations for up to six people. The full kitchen has natural cabinets, a gas stove, and granite counter tops. Folks used to take the train to Hendersonville and then ride the dummy to Rainbow Lake. From there they rode the Swiss Cog Railway up our mountain for the expansive view looking down on Hendersonville and out to Bearwallow Mountain. Some of them built houses here and started the small resort town of Laurel Park. You can stay here too and enjoy the same view as you take a walk on the quiet (almost level) loop where the house is located. You can also go to the top of the mountain for a spectacular view from Jump Off Rock. For nearby shopping and dining, downtown Hendersonville is less than five minutes away. The Sandburg House and Flat Rock Playhouse are in Flat Rock, just ten minutes away. You are forty minutes away from Asheville, where you can visit the Biltmore House, eat in world-class restaurants, and shop in art galleries. For sightseeing there’s the duPont State Forest with High Falls, Triple Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Hooker Falls. The Blue Ridge Parkway is easily accessible.
