Description:We own a historic home built in 1929. Jenna is a musician and a music teacher and M.C. is an educator, private tutor and writer. You may see us but it it is unlikely you will hear us. The 1929 concrete walls are very thick. You won't hear from us, unless we hear from you. Once in a while though in the summer, I have become quite excited when our Night Blooming Cereus, blossoms and I envite guests over for wine and to bask in it's scent and beauty. We have had our business since 2008 and loved it since. Your bedroom is an addition to the home. We live in one side and you the other of the 4000 total sq. ft. The 700 sq.ft. luxury suite. Jenna will give you a tour, show you the books in the suite about the area, hiking, a large resource binder on everything you want to know about Asheville, tell you about all of the amazing local restaurants, and more. I am available by cell 24hrs. and provide an airport driving service for a small gas fee. I also provide a designated driving service all night hours for a small cost so you can drink and not drive! Laundry service is available as well. If your stay is longer than two weeks then we clean and change the sheets. Of course your towels are changed weekly or as needed. As for the beauty of your space, it fills with the morning eastern sun as well as the setting sun all with large windows. You bedroom opens to sliding doors onto a patio and into a private backyard. Furnished with antiques yet housed with all the comforts of modern technology. Convenient to downtown though located in a beautiful quite historic neighborhood. I can tell you from experience they have a very unique and satisfying menu. Meanwhile, back to the bungalow: I am in the process of finishing up a great little stone pathway that will take you down the back of the property to the adjacent parking area and grassy knoll besides the restaurant and quite close in proximity to the Grey Eagle and all of the galleries, shops, breweries and arts studios in the River Arts District (home of The River Arts Studio Stroll) of Asheville. For example: If you were to see a -Map of a walk from this bungalow to Wall St, for example, a cobblestone street with lots of shops near the Grove Arcade in the heart of downtown, you'd see what I mean (albiet, Disclaimer: 's satellite street view is quite unfortunate and from over 5 years ago...and does not reflect the current and nicely landscaped reality of Jefferson Dr at this time..! thanks. :) Meanwhile, Check out our 3-minute video of the house @ YouTube at: Moreover, it's still in a very quiet (some cordial couples, some small families, and one smiley, old mountain man make up the neighborhood...) residential street, so you truly do get the best of both worlds: Asheville's downtown excitement...and the quiet, gorgeous mountains, rivers and countryside of Western North Carolina a relatively close drive away... . Description:Before you start to read the description of our home-due to a family emergency, I had to cancel a one night rental with one person three days in advance. When I called to explain, he seemed to be very understanding and I suggested other places that were comparable in price. I also assured him I would reimburse him if there was a glitch with airbnb. He seemed to be very understanding, however, proceeded to give a bad review without explanation. We have been renting our cabin for several years with another company and have only gotten top reviews. I just felt I should explain this review. Warm and cozy--this charming and very clean home is a delightful escape from the tyranny of the urgent. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Peaceful Creek Cottage is situated by a roaring creek that promises to lull you to sleep and whisk your stress away. Our home is comfortable and inviting. We think you will be completely satisfied with the decor. We have decorated it with special touches that create a homey and lovely environment. We have two bedrooms-both have a queen size bed. In addition, our loft has two twin beds...a special favorite for children. Adults have slept there (including us!), but the loft is not quite tall enough for a full size adult to stand. It is perfect, however, for children and teenagers. And agile adults! Hardwood floors are through out the house except in the bedrooms, which are carpeted. There is one full bath and a bathroom in the master bedroom. This home is located behind Twin Brook Resort, and is in a neighborhood that is almost exclusively seasonal homes. It is very, very quiet and peaceful. You can see all of the amenities that are included to assure this home will provide every thing that you could possibly need. We have included board games, a wonderful DVD library, firewood for a cozy evening by the fire...and even marshmallow roasters! We understand that some need to smoke--we just ask that you puff outside and not inside. We also love and appreciate pets. And so they are welcome, with a refundable pet fee. We do ask that you would take them with you when you are leaving the house, or that you would crate them. We know that you will understand. We provide all the information you would need for nearby activities including all of the hiking trails and waterfalls. You will be located only minutes away from such popular attractions as the Biltmore House and Gardens, Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherokee Indian Reservation, numerous championship golf courses, horseback riding, whitewater rafting...and much more.
