Description:Asheville is such a wonderful place to visit! I love living here next to the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are amazing restaurants, microbreweries (we are the 1 beer city in the country), hiking, river sports, music scene, theater, eclectic shops, and so much more that you will absolutely fall in love with our beautiful town. When you stay in my home, you will truly experience the serenity of this country like setting and the convenience of being just 10 minutes from downtown. You will have your own bedroom with a queen bed with your own bathroom in my 3 bedroom 2 bath house. I have an open room to use for yoga, dance, tai chi, etc. Hardwood floors are throughout the home. There are 5 acres of woods in the back. There is no TV, but if you bring your laptop you can surf the web and watch movies. I'll provide some movies for you to choose from. A make it yourself breakfast is included in the price which consists of my farm fresh eggs, homemade muffins, homemade jam, fresh fruit, OJ, coffee and tea. I have a business that I run out of my home, so I'm here most all the time during the day. I love to meet people from other places and hear their stories if you'd like to share. If you bring your bike you can zip down to the river district for mostly flat rides and get to Biltmore Village, out to Swannanoa, Black Mountian, up the river toward Madison County. Bikes can also easily be rented in town too, heck you can just walk to a bike store and rent one. Earth Fare (healthy living food store), is just around the corner. Downtown is a 15 minute bike ride or less than 5 minute drive. The entrance to Biltmore is a little over 5 minutes away. The Blue Ridge Parkway is about 10 minutes away. Downtown is about 2 miles away, less as the crow flies, so much to do and see. TV with Netflix and Pandora. We live in the other portion of the house with our three kids. Description:The Bungalow at Little Willow Falls sits perched over a Natural Spring, with a 70 foot Cascading Rock Shoal, Waterfall. The sound of the falling water and the rain falling on the Vaulted tin roof is so relaxing and peaceful. Within a few miles of The Bungalow is the town of Flat Rock, home to the Flat Rock Playhouse (the North Carolina State Theater), and the Carl Sandburg Home. The bedrooms provide beautiful views of the trees and distant mountains can be seen from the front bedroom through the leaves. They are very bright and airy and perfect for napping, sleeping, or reading quietly. Please note that all bedrooms are on the second floor. There is a television room off the living room with a 32 flat screen television. We provide expanded cable channel selection for television viewing as well as high speed internet. Netflix is provided as well. The house has wifi throughout. Ceiling fans are provided in each room of the house. There is a private deck with a view of the back garden. Patio furniture is provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric stove and oven and refrigerator, but it is a country kitchen meaning that it is not super modern (no diswasher or disposal). We provide recycling bins and encourage you to use them.We also compost vegetable material. There are pots and pans and cutlery provided. If you have special needs, let us know and we will try to accomodate. We live very close by. The dining room table has two leaves for expansion and seats 6 people. The main bathroom has a tub and shower with a rain showerhead and small heating fan. The second bathroom provides a toilet and sink. A washer and dryer are provided for your use. They are located in the basement. The heat is radiated steam heat. Perfect and even throughout the house. We suggest you turn the thermostat down in the evening for cooler sleeping. Description:My house in Asheville NC is a completely remodeled historic home built 100 years ago. Regarding the location, I live in a safe, quiet middle class neighborhood very close to downtown. The walk to restaurants, clubs and bars is around 7-10 minutes, depending on where you're headed. If you're here during April-October, I live just up the street, ( 2 minute walk ) from one of the nicest tailgate farmers' markets in the city. There is plenty of room between my house and the neighbors, so when you look outside you see nature, not other people. The space I'm renting out is the first floor, which you'll have all to yourself since my boyfriend and I live on the second floor. It's around 800 square feet. All of the facilities described below are private and not shared. The apartment has thick walls and new windows, so the heater and the AC function efficiently, and noise from outside is minimal. There's a private entrance for you which we never use. (PLEASE NOTE: The stairs that lead from the street up to the entrance are quite steep, so if you have physical limitations please consider this when booking). You'll find a very comfortable queen size Tempur Pedic bed with nice linens to sleep soundly in, and a queen size futon that can be used for a couch in the cozy living room area, or converted to an extra bed. There's a separate kitchenette with microwave, fridge, sink & countertop, toaster oven, coffee maker and electric kettle as well as a small dining table and all the utensils you will need. There's a nice newly remodeled full bathroom. All of the water in the house is on a filtration system making it great for drinking and showers. There is wireless internet access. You'll have a private covered porch. In the winter you can see downtown clearly from your window, but in the other seasons the view is of the trees. It's a really beautiful place. Parking is easy, there's always a spot on my street. Although the apartment is separate, renters and host are able to hear each other. The spiral stairway between the 2 floors of the house is sealed off with thick foam which cuts down on, but does not eliminate, sounds traveling between the 2 spaces.
