Description:If you’re looking for an affordable alternative to the expensive hotel prices in Amsterdam or are looking for short stay family accomodation, this is the perfect house for you. The house is an ideal base for exploring Amsterdam and surrounding areas and accommodates a family of 4 or 5 easily. The house has been recently renovated, tastefully decorated and equipped with modern appliances. It is located in Naarden, a charming, historic, fortress village, shaped like a 6-point star. The house has a newly renovated, modern, open kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and “American” refrigerator. The dining area and living room are spacious and open up to the garden, a perfect spot for enjoying the late summer evenings. There are two bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom with a separate shower and a tub. You also have access to a washer and dryer. There are two other rooms that are locked and unavailable. The house is comfortably furnished and includes: - cable tv, dvd, stereo - sofa, reclining chair and dining table for 6-8 persons - two bedrooms - one with a double bed and one with a double bed and single bunk bed - free wireless internet access - full kitchen including dishwasher, microwave, large refrigerator, large oven - washing machine and dryer - and bicycles upon request! The house is close to Amsterdam (20 km), Hilversum (10 km), Utrecht (30 km), Schiphol Airport (30 km), all easily accessible by train from the Naarden-Bussum train station, which is a 15-minute walk or 5 minute bike ride. Trains leave to Amsterdam, Utrecht, Hilversum and Schiphol every 15 minutes. The house is also conveniently located close to highway A1 and there is plenty of free parking in front of the house. The central location and access to main highways makes it an ideal starting point to almost every destination in the Netherlands. The charming center of Naarden Vesting has excellent restaurants and is a 10-minute walk or (less than) 5 minute bike ride from the house. Naarden also has wonderful access to beautiful cycling and hiking trails through some of the most beautiful nature areas close to Amsterdam and is a great area for outdoor sports. There is a beach on the lake, 5 minutes from the house and the immediate area offers sailing, tennis, golf, soccer, sport club, and a swimming pool all within very close proximity. There are local shops within a 2 minute walk, including a supermarket, butcher and baker, etc. There is a weekly farmers market on Saturdays in Naarden Vesting and a larger shopping center in neighboring town of Bussum. Description:The Aldebaran is just in wintertime (half november till the end of March available in Rotterdam! OUR SHIP THE ALDEBARAN The Aldebaran is a traditional sailing vessel (36 Meters long), which is almost 120 years old. We made an comfortable cosy place of the formal cargo hold, with 9 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, an athmospheric living and a kitchen for 8 till 30 guests. WINTERTIME: ROTTERDAM CENTRE The ship is, from november till april, moored in a very quiet part of the centre of Rotterdam (Stadsdriehoek). The mooring place is near the Maritime Museum and the Harbour Museum, in between a lot of old traditional (museal) ships. GROUPACCOMMODATION The minimum price to rent the ship with a group is € 1125 for 2 nights. This price is based on 2 nights with 15 persons. Each extra person will pay € 50. This is exclusive duvet and towels. It's possible to rent these for € 10 per person/ week. You can make your own breakfast and dinner in the big kitchen. If you want, I will make a delicious breakfast for you for € 10/ person/day. B&B DURING THE IFFR (25 Jan. - 05 Feb. 2012) - During the IFFR, you can RENT A ROOM with a delicous breakfast. - A twin room (on the map a 4p. room) cost: € 95. - A single room (on the map a 2p. room) cost : € 45. - When you stay more than 6 nights, you get a discount of € 5 per person per night. ENJOY ROTTERDAM Just enjoy Rotterdam: A lot of musea, bars, restaurants and shops are on walking distance. One good Spanish/Portugese restaurant, also on board of a ship, is just 50 meters away! PARKING AND PUBLIC TRANSPORT Parking is possible in a parking garage nearby, but it's expensive. There are a free parking places on streets about 1,5 km away (Around the Watertorenweg, De Esch, Rotterdam). The metro, tram, train and bus stops are nearby. Description:The apartment measures 75m2 and consists of 1 bedroom, 1 bedroom/study, a modern kitchen, living room, bathroom, separate toilet and a balcony. It is situated in a low-rise building built in the fifties with a view of a busy sailing route on one side and a nice public field on the other. The central train station is 10 minutes away by bike bus. There is free car parking and a storeroom for bikes. Nearby there are plenty bars and parks, especially nice in these summer months. In ten minutes you will find yourself in the city centre of Utrecht, by Lonely Planet described as following: 'Its old town is encircled by a medieval canal, and you can hop on a boat tour to visit the city’s bustling, vibrant wharves. Built to connect the canalside with Utrecht’s impressive townhouses, today these unique spaces are filled with bohemian cafes, shops, restaurants and bars.'
