Description:One bedroom apartment (398 square feet) on the ground floor (street level). 14 miles from the airport. With an internet connection (wireless) Next to the center of Leuven, just 2 minutes walking to the bus station, and 5 minutes to most of the shops (supermarket, grocer's, chemist's, butcher's, clothes...), 3 minutes by bus to the railway station (train to the airport). There's a beautiful Botanical Garden 100 yd further where you can go for a walk or a picnic. The apartment is very nice and clean. It is an ideal apartment for 2 persons. Very tranquil as it is on the back of the building. I live 15 minutes from the apartment and am ready to help you. You can always call me on my mobile for any question. Cable television, radio and CD-player, as well as wireless internet. The kitchen has eveything you need to cook (cooker, cooker hood, fridge, microwave oven, 'Senseo' coffee machine for coffee pods). Separate bedroom with a double bed, private bathroom with toilet and bath (shower possible, too), nice living-room with south facing window to enjoy the sunshine and the view on big trees. Leuven is a beautiful city, best known for its university, the remarkable architecture, and the Belgian beer Stella Artois. It is quite small, but if you got some time and you'd like to get away from the big cities, Leuven is a great choice. Though it is quite small (you can perfectly walk from one interesting place to another), you'll find many shops, café's, restaurants, cultural activities and tourist attractions here. And because of the many students hanging around, nightlife as well is vivid and much fun. It's a cute little town. It is what most Americans think of when they imagine a smallish European city : Cobblestone streets, cafés all over, pigeons, old churches, a beautiful city hall, etc. Leuven is in the centre of Belgium, and only 25 minutes driving from Brussels, 55 from Liège, 80 from Gent, 90 from the coast, 60 from Ghent... Seit März 2007 ist WLAN Internet-Anschluss in den Häusern möglich. Karten können Sie an der Rezeption kaufen. Eine zusätzliche Antenne ist empfehlenswert. Der Ferienpark (Eröffnung Juli 98) liegt direkt hinter dem Deich der Nordsee, in der Nähe der Oosterschelde und nah am Veerse Meer, ideal für Wassersport (Tauchen, Surfen, Segeln). Im Parkzentrum befindet sich: ein Familienrestaurant mit Bar, eine Snack-Bar, Supermarkt, Waschsalon, beheiztes Hallenbad (extra, eingeschränkte Öffnungszeiten), kl. Spielhalle, Bibliothek, Fahrradverleih, mehrere Spielplätze, Minigolf. Außerdem Tennisplätze (extra) und ein Dialysezentrum (Anmeldung erforderlich). In den Ferien gibt es ein kleines Animations-Programm für Kinder und Erwachsene. Die in Pastellfarben gehaltenen Villen und Landhäuser sind nach einem sehr exklusiven Architektenentwurf erbaut. Just a few steps away from the river Rhine and the pitoresque canals and canalhouses of Leiden and the Plantsoen parc and much much more. Leiden is centered between all major cities like Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam and Utrecht all within 10 to 40 minutes by train or car. The national airport Schiphol is just 15 minutes away by train and car. Known for its historicall well preserved old center, famous university, museums and situated between the green heart of South Holland and the North Sea, Leiden is a nice alternative for the more crowded Amsterdam. This town is the biggest intact fortrified city of Europe and from the air or on the map thats still visible. Leiden was once home to the Pilgrim Brothers before they moved to North America where they played a major role in the foundation of the U.S.A. Leiden has also a famous botanical garden near the university ( the oldest of The Netherlands ). From Leiden it is close to De Keukenhof which is the most photographed spot on the planet!! In spring you can enjoy the beautifull variety of all sorts of tulips and other flowers. Trains to all major cities mentioned are scheduled 24/7!
