The entire house is available to you when you select this property. Haarlem is a beautiful cobble-stoned city and from the busstop it is 17 minutes to Schiphol, 7 minutes to downtown Haarlem, to popular Zandvoort beach 30 minutes and 25 minutes to Amsterdam Central. I will provide the convenient travel card with a little charge (please add on as you use). Better than taking the public transport is going by bicycle, from the apartment many locations as the beach, dunes, lakes, and cultural locations can be reached by roads only for bicycle. About Haarlem, located on the banks of the Spaarne river, this relaxed city is full of picturesque canals, a maze of narrow streets, hidden gardens and many of the best dutch museums. A 12 minute bicycle trip aside the Spaarne river will lead you downtown to ‘Kleine Houtstraat’, a pretty boutique shopping street voted to be the best in the Netherlands many times. The city also boasts many great restaurants and bars and this historical beer-brewing centre has a lively culture and active nightlife. The local Haarlem beer brand with unique taste, Jopen, is brewed in a well-renovated church where you can enjoy the different flavours. One big room (60m2) for relax, study, sleep. Big windows at each end. Full equipped kitchen (with refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher) and wc also on the 1th floor. Inside stairs to the 3th floor with the bathroom with shower and washingmachine. Of course clean towels and bed linen. The bathroom at the 3th floor and the toilet on the 1th floor are only shared with a quiet Italian boy who lives at the 3th floor. (the 2th floor is a completely separate apartment.) Description:Studio Jan van Goyen is located on a beautiful canal very close to the centre of Leiden (Jan van Goyenkade 20B, in the Vreewijk neighbourhood). The old city is on just a five minutes walk. The apartment (540 sqft) is equipped with tv/dvd, free wireless internet (wifi), kitchen and bathroom, washing machine and dishwasher. There is also a garden with shed. The very comfortable double bed can be converted into two single beds and there is a sleeping couch for a third person.
Studio Jan van Goyen is a ground floor apartment with its own entry.
Breakfast (selfservice) can be found in the refrigerator. The studio can be rented for a minimum of two nights, but is also very suitable for a longer stay so do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to rent the studio as sublet. In 2012, one of our guests wrote the following in our guestbook: Whilst engaged in clinical research in Leiden I was most fortunate to find and lease the Studio van Goyen for 6 months from October 2011 to April 2012. I can say with absolute honesty that, in all of my working travels it has been the best home I have ever experienced! The Studio is within easy walking distance of traditional shops and a supermarket (open all Sunday). Aside from it's beautiful canal-side setting in the student part of town the Studio is modern, exceptionally clean (thank you for the thorough job you do and the flowers you leave there) and the kitchen and entertainment system are well equipped (free internet). The long single room adjoins an immaculate shower room and the rear door to the garden gives peaceful access to the shed freezer. Add to all this the kind concerns expressed by Trees Koenders in sorting any problems and I cannot think of a more worthwhile package!!
