At the upper floor, directly under the roof, the ceiling was heightened and the roof timbers left in sight to create a magnificent space. This floor contains a sitting area, dining table with 6 comfortable chairs and kitchen. Moreover, there is a large sunny roof terrace with outdoor furniture on the south, that can be reached directly from the living room with large sliding doors. The sitting room has a nice comfortable corner sofa with cushions, a good reading lamp, an iPod docking station and a large flat screen television. Description:I have a modern house in a quiet neighboorhoud along a canal where are passing boats, kayaks, ducks and other birds. 5-10 min walk to city center. If you like I can give you a guided tour of Mechelen which is worth a visit: medieval houses, nice shopping, good pubs, etc. You can explore other Belgian cities from my place. 5 min walk to the main station. 17 min by train to Brussels Central Station, 16 min to Antwerp Central Station, 44 min – Gent, 78 min to Brugge, 22 min to Leuven. The trains in Belgium are comfortable, so no need to rent a car. There is a direct train from Amsterdam Centr or Amsterdam Schiphol (airport) to Mechelen, every hour. My house is a nice spot for starting your cycling tour along different canals. I have some old but still good bicycles you can use. Near to swimming pool and I can show you interesting running tours. There is Wifi in the house. If you can't bring your own computer you can use mine. Also television (Dutch and French spoken) and DVD. Parking space is in front of the door (only the first 15 min are for free) or 500 m further it's for free. If your car is not too big you can fit it in my garage which you can use for free. I speak English, French, Dutch and German very well and Polish and Spanish well.... more info >>

Ghent itselves is one of the major historical cities of Belgium. FROM MY apartment you can visit all in a walk: the three towers, the cathedral, shopping, the castle, TOURIST nearby castle. Even all public transport is around. Apartment: There is a master bedroom with double bed, and a second bedroom with 2 single beds and a bunk bed. I still have a cot. OUR SHIP THE ALDEBARAN The Aldebaran is a traditional sailing vessel (36 Meters long), which is almost 120 years old. We made an comfortable cosy place of the formal cargo hold, with 9 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, an athmospheric living and a kitchen for 8 till 30 guests. WINTERTIME: ROTTERDAM CENTRE The ship is, from november till april, moored in a very quiet part of the centre of Rotterdam (Stadsdriehoek). The mooring place is near the Maritime Museum and the Harbour Museum, in between a lot of old traditional (museal) ships. GROUPACCOMMODATION The minimum price to rent the ship with a group is € 1125 for 2 nights. This price is based on 2 nights with 15 persons. Each extra person will pay € 50. This is exclusive duvet and towels. It's possible to rent these for € 10 per person/ week. You can make your own breakfast and dinner in the big kitchen.
