Close to Russell Square Underground Station, St. Pancras Station, Kings Cross Station (and Platform 9-3/4), West End, British Museum. Coffee shop next door, bus stop less than a block. 2-bdrm, 2-bath flat excellent for family or 2 couples on vacation together. Property was clean, especially kitchen and bathrooms. Managers Cam and Adam extremely helpful. They arrived when they said they would. Wi-fi wasn't working when we arrived, but they immediately corrected that. Procedures and expectations for rental of flat were well-explained. Flat was well-represented on internet. Shopping center with movie, shopping, and most importantly, a big Waitrose grocery nearby (across street from Russell Sq Underground Station). Between bus and/or underground, easy access all over London. Kitchen/sitting area very nicely fitted out: microwave, stove, coffee maker, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher. Apartment-size washer/dryer, too. Dishes, flatware, pots/pans provided. Big-screen TV for those evenings you prefer to be in. 4 people showering in the morning, never ran out of hot water. Renting this flat, as opposed to being crowded into a hotel for 10 days was an EXCELLENT lodging choice for our London vacation. We were in London for 10 days. We were with another couple. Being in the flat gave us all room to spread out. Being in a hotel for 10 days would have been very cramped. Also, both couples would have rented a hotel room. The cost of sharing the 2-bdrm, 2-bath flat was about the same as one hotel room would have been. So we cut our cost IN HALF. Best thing however, was the WONDERFUL LOCATION and being able to spread out (versus a hotel room). Cam and Adam were GREAT to work with. Description:A tastefully and recently converted Victorian 2 double bed garden flat. 2 double bedrooms, one with bath ensuite and one shower ensuite. Larger bedroom has patio doors to garden. High ceilings, kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer etc, patio doors to garden and patio, double doors to large but cosy living room with coal gas fire. Central heating. Outside is a pretty and well tended and private garden with gas BBQ and table etc The flat is in a quiet tree lined road across the road from Hampstead Heath. It is in a lovely location and very easy to walk to bustling and trendy Camden and Hampstead. Transport links are very good. The overground with services to Stratford for the Olympics and Richmond, Kew Gardens and west london is less than five minutes away. Bus services are also very good and just a few minutes walk for the services to the West End and museums. The nearest tube is Belsize Park on the Northern Line. It is a ten minute walk. The area is excellent for cycling because the roads are not too busy. There are many nice restaurants and pubs a short walk away and there are some lovely pubs to walk to across the Heath and up to historic Parliament Hill. Description:Beautiful and homely Victorian house on a quiet residential street in the heart of buzzing and cosmopolitan West Hampstead village,north west London. The house is comprised of 1 good sized comfy double bedroom, which has good storage and a 2 seater leather sofa. There will also be fresh white bed linen and white towels for you in here. Also there is a fully fitted bathroom (bath and shower over the bath) with toiletries for your use, plus an additional W.C downstairs. There is an open plan living/dining room with a huge comfy leather sofa (that you won't ever want to leave!) and ideal for the third person to sleep on, there is a working gas fire (that looks like a real fire, but without having to shovel coal far too messy), and a bright eat-in kitchen with french doors leading to a lovely south facing patio garden. The kitchen has a gas hob and electric oven and microwave for all your culinary needs, under floor heating (a very nice touch especially in the winter!) a double stainless steel belfast sink that you won't have to use because there is a dishwasher! and a washing machine. There is also a breakfast table that can seat 4 people comfortably. On arrival there will be tea, coffee, milk and bread for you, a fresh fruit bowl provided and fresh flowers to welcome you. The garden has a large gas barbecue and full sized patio heater for those cooler nights when you still want to enjoy the outdoors. Plus there are a table and chairs and 2 sun loungers for those sunny days to soak up the rays in this sun trap of a garden. Yes we do get wonderful sunshine, and even though you're not in sunny Spain, you will feel like you are!!! The house has all the amenities you could wish for on your doorstep. There are numerous coffee shops including Starbucks, Costa Coffee and Cafe Nero in the village. And there is a fantastic array of restaurants including Strada, Pizza Express, La Brocca (a great Italian), Nandos (for the chicken lover), and Banana Tree (my favourite for Thai/Indonesian cuisine), fabulous pubs (The Alice House for a young buzzy atmosphere with year round heated outside seating, and the Alliance Pub for a quieter and friendly gastropub experience) and many bars that all serve great food. Not forgetting several hair salons and charity shops, stylish clothing boutiques, a fabulous book shop, a bike shop, a bakery open until midnight every night (for a late night freshly made bagel on a Friday night on your way back from the pub) convenience stores, a Tesco Metro and Sainsbury's Local, Barclay's Bank, and plenty ATM machines. Fantastic take away food is also available in the area of any type of cuisine you could wish for. I will leave out my favourite selection of take away menus for your convenience (they all know me very well!) With great transport links into the West End, you can reach Soho in 10 minutes on the underground, 20 minutes by bus and 15 minutes by car. Taxi into the West End is approximately £15. West Hampstead underground station (the closest station) is a 10 minute walk, as is the Silverlink overground train station and the Thameslink station is a 5 minute walk away. From this station you can reach London St Pancras in 9 minutes directly for all Eurostar connections plus national and regional train connections, as well as a direct train to London Luton Airport and Gatwick Airport from here. Heathrow is 30-40 minutes by car or train, Luton 30-45 minutes by car or train, Gatwick being 1 hour away. Local taxi numbers will be provided to help make getting around the city hassle free. Free parking is available on request. The stunning Hampstead heath is within walking distance for fabulous surroundings and a lido and swimming pond if you're feeling brave! and Regent's Park is only 10 minutes away where you can hire a row boat or catch some Shakespeare in the amphitheatre if you are lucky! Also there is a VUE multiplex cinema a 10 minute walk away in the Finchley Road 02 centre to see your favourite blockbuster movie. The apartment has a calm and serene ambience despite its busy location it is in a very calm and peaceful apartment complex (situated on the first floor) It is a studio in that the living area and bed area are not sectioned off, however there is a seperate kitchen and bathroom making it bigger than a studio. We have a comfy memory foam 1.5 spare mattress if you do not wish to share the double bed or for a third guest (please request upon reserving). The building is gated and securitised.There is a fully fitted kitchen for you to cook your own meals, a fully fitted bathroom and a little balcony for some fresh air. And of course a perfect central heating system for cold nights. The apartment is located literally one block away from Kingscross St Pancras, which is the most desirable location in london. We are a short walk away from most of londons tourist attractions and also some hidden gems. King's cross is the most connected station with the most train and bus services passing through compared to any other part of london. The apartment is close to many restaurants/shopping venues, parks and there is a tesco (grocery store) a 5 minute walk away.
