Description:The apartment is surrounded by the green vineyards of Tuscany in the countryside near Castiglion Fibocchi, Arezzo, under the Pratomagno Mountain, famous for nature, wildlife, little ancient villages, good cuisine and excellent wine. It is part of an old farm house, property of our family, which we have restaured. The house has two apartments (this one and a smaller one for 2-3 people) each with his own entrance. Outside there is a common garden where You can relax during the beautiful Tuscan evenings. The apartment is very suitable for families or groups of friends (4-6 people) who have a car and want to do a tour of Tuscany. The apartment is restored in original country style. It 's 100 square meters and consists of: a large living room with sofa and TV, a typical Tuscan kitchen with stove refrigerator, dishwasher, table and chairs, traditional fireplace, one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms all with wrought iron beds, 2 bathrooms with shower, sink and toilet. The interiors and furnishings are Tuscan style. Most of the objects and furnishings are from the family. The price is very actractive. We have started our activity recently (in 2011) and we have decided, for 2012, to offer our guests the possibility to stay in a very beautiful and relaxing apartment at a very promotional price. Linen and towels are included in the price and will be changed once per week. With an agreement, We offer a swimming pool service, around 2 km from the apartment, to only 5 euro/day (adult), 2,5 euro/day kids (3-12 years) and free for little baby (under 3 years). You can buy the tickets discounted from us. At their arrival, the guests will find a present (a bottle of Chianti Wine from our vineyards) as our welcome. People who will stay for at least 1 week could be our guests for a beautiful, typical Tuscan dinner. The apartment is located in Castiglion Fibocchi. The area is very safe and quiet so, think just relaxing and enjoying it. In Castiglion Fibocchi 0,8 km from the house, you can find farmacy, supermarket and all you need. In the house You will also find the numbers for every emergencies. The location of the apartment is very central and allows to reach easily: Arezzo (12 km) where You can visit the beautiful Pieve (Romanesque church) and the church of San Francesco with the frescoes of Piero della Francesca, the beautiful village of Loro Ciuffenna, Florence (65 km) with all its monuments, museums and the famous Ponte Vecchio, Siena (60 km) and all the Chianti area (40 km), the medieval town of Anghiari (30 km), Casentino area (20-30 km) with its extensive woodlands and beautiful restored historical buildings, including many castles and abbeys and Cortona (40 km), with his etruscan sites. Lake Trasimeno is another wonderful place for sports and relax. For nature lovers there is the National Park of Foreste casentinesi (25 km) and the Monastery of La Verna, where San Francesco d'Assisi lived as hermit. Very peaceful area is Rapolano Terme, spa town with wonderful termal baths (30 minutes away). For those seeking entertainment and nightlife there are several options in Arezzo or even in Florence, with their bar, pubs and club. Very close to the apartment (5 km) there is the disco club Dolce Verde open from spring to autumn. Description:Luca’s House is an old country small-holding dating back to the 19th century. Built entirely in stone it has been renovated respecting the typical architectural characteristics of the area blended with touches of artistic masonry. The result is a small ‘village’ whose rustic hospitality has grown over the years so that an ‘agriturismo’ or farmhouse accommodation ,for 6 person, has been created. Two apartments are also available for long or short stays for 7-8 people .The surrounding area Located in the area where the Maremma and the Val D’Orcia Nature Park meet, Mount Amiata is an ancient volcano (1774 m.) with an abundance of underground thermal waters. People can ski at the top of the mountain whose slopes reach down to the outskirts of the Argento coast. Skiing: the ski slopes are about 10 minutes by car from the farm. In winter there are several kilometers of slopes equipped with two chair lifts and ski lifts. The closest thermal bath (20 minutes by car) is at San Filippo in the area there are thermal baths at Bagni Vignone or San Casciano up to those at Petriolo and Saturnia. Mount Amiata has always been a crossroads of intense spiritual activity thanks to its churches and to the Via Francigena which flanks it in the north. At the beginning of the 19th century it witnessed the rise of David Lazzaretti’s social-Christian community on Mount Labro. Around the house covers an acre of land fenced in which we created a garden, an olive grove that produces an excellent extra virgin, strictly organic garden and a grove of tall trees. So we can enjoy tomatoes, chard, zucchini, salads of various kinds, peas, beans, broccoli and cauliflower, grapes, strawberries, depending on the season. We also collect from our belowed trees plums, peaches, apricots, apples and walnuts. The tranquil location is a heaven of peace and quiet while at the same time being very close to all amenities offered by the busy market town of Marsciano. The house is located about 12 km from the main road through the centre of Umbria linking Assisi (30 minutes), Perugia (20 minutes), Orvieto (40 minutes), Todi (15 minutes) and Spoleto (50 minutes). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ FURTHER DETAILS Normally guests are welcome no earlier than 15 and check out is at 11 o'clock. A welcome pack of wine, water,milk, home made bread and oil extra virgin home produced is provided and the kitchen is supplied with basics such as tea, coffee, sugar etc. We can offer guests some extras that they not find elsewhere such as home cooked meals on arrival or during their stay. In the apartment there is internet access. The old farmhouse is situated on a hilltop site with a wonderful view over a great meadow, the old pines trees, (the landmark of the village of Ramazzano) and a wood where youll find tables, chairs and hammocks and barbecues. The property is surrounded by woodland, where you will be able to watch wild animals like deer, foxes, wild boars etc. There are a lot of trekking trips leading to very beautiful spots in the countryside over the hills from 20 minutes up to several hours. Also available a large swimming pool, green spaces equipped with tables and chairs, toys for children, mountain bikes, while in the woods of the property you can walk. and for the most experienced even riding horses. From many years our Family is guests of Caldaruccio Podere La Pineta and continues to live with respect for nature and traditions attached to it. We Cultivate olive trees, grapevines, fruit and vegetables and produce our oil and wine following traditional and ancient methods, available to an orchard and organic garden. There is a large stunning swimming pool (5 x 14m), with spacious terraces, set into the hillside. There is plenty of shade and excellent views of the surrounding area (the views are similar to an infinity pool). There are comfortable sunloungers and chairs and there is a paddling pool for babies. Each accommodation has private terraces with shade. Each terrace has comfortable outdoor furniture and barbecue grill. There are well established herb and flowers gardens that surround the property. Bikes are available to borrow. There are 15 acres of farm, woodland and countryside to enjoy while staying with us. The unspoilt countryside is abundant with wildlife. Deer, wild boar, porcupines, hares, eagles, lizards and a wide variety of birds frequently roam the land. COAST/BEACH Fano beach is about 1 hours drive from the farm and is perfect for families with young children as it is very wide beach with shallow water. The wonderful sandy beaches of Sirolo are only 1 hour 20 mins drive away. Lake Trasimeno (35 min drive) has a life guarded beach and some excellent seafood restaurants. The medieval towns of Perugia and Gubbio (20 mins drive away) have some of the best restaurants in Umbria and a lively nightlife. The speciality is rich truffle dishes made with local black and white truffles. Gubbio also has several bars and pubs, which are great fun and rather lively during the summer evenings. The local towns of Ramazano and Casa del Diavolo both have bars, where you can drink into the small hours with the locals.
