Once you are in this apartment you can choose if you would like to lose yourself in a frenetic shopping spree on the Via del Corso, or prefer to go for a nice walk amidst the alleys around the Pantheon, sit in an elegant café, try some ice cream or stroll through museums and Art Galleries. Apart from the churches, the noble houses und numerous monuments, this zone is also rich with typical Trattorias (restaurants), bars and movie theatres.Choosing this “apartment” means choosing unique quality, giving oneself an unforgettable holiday in Rome. The kitchen is completely furnished with an oven, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. One the same floor you will find a double bed room with a queen sized bed (140x190cm) and an en suite bathroom with shower. A second bathroom – with only bathtub and washing machine – and another guest bathroom – with toilet, bidet and sink – complete this level. The first floor is reserved as the night area, with lightened oaken hardwood floors and three large bedrooms decorated with wooden panels and decorated with modern furniture in shades of red, lilac and white. One bathroom with a bathtub serves these rooms. One the same level you have access to another double bedroom suspended on an interior balcony with an en suite bathroom with a shower. A second kitchen, also completely furnished, will save you the effort of walking down the stairs to make breakfast. A common area between the four rooms is furnished with a second dining table, which can be used as a studio or a library. On the second floor you will find the master bedroom suite with TV and an en suite bathroom with shower. The suite has direct access to a private terrace, while from the stairs you have access to a splendid terrace, the house’s gem, which faces the numerous cupolas of the many churches in Rome. It will be even more pleasant coming home after visiting the city, knowing that here awaits you this corner of paradise, where you can relax on a sun bed or enjoy a good dinner out in the open: a complete series of garden furniture decorates the terrace area. Our place lies among rolling hills in Southern Tuscany, next to the thermal baths of Saturnia in the Morellino di Scansano territory at just 1h30 min. from Fiumicino International Airport. We are perfectly located in a central area between Rome and Florence, both at less than 2 hours by car and in a great position for daily trip to all kind of naturalistic, historical and food/wine lovers amenities. We are in the Maremma tuscany region, also know as the wild virgin “far west” of Central Italy. La Fornacina is an authentic old country style house from the 19th Century in our family estate deep in the quiet of the nature with plenty of privacy, the perfect place for a party up to14 people who loves enjoy a mellow environment with all facilities. I’m Carmine, your host, I’m a Visual Designer who lives between Brooklyn and Tuscany, raised at La Fornacina back in the 80’s, when this place was running with no electric power, with nothing but dreams. Layla, my mom and your host as well, was the first visionary who found out the estate in 1983 while travelling Italy with my dad and me, and decided to get it and move all our family from Naples, the big city. Linda, my younger little sister is a creative sweet person who follow our family’s passion travelling and taking care of La Fornacina. My family and me have been travelling around the world for decades, La Fornacina is our good shelter which we enriched with our live experiences and beloved objects, that kind of place who we love to discover on our path around the globe.
