Surrounded by beautiful rolling hills, Proceno is right in the center of these amazing places. The owners run also a Cycling Travel Company and you can rent high-end bikes through them!!! Proceno area is a great place to discover by bike!!! Our comfy Apartment is 60 sqm (sleeps: 2 2) is composed by: - Ground floor - Kitchen with a regular 4 fires, oven, fridge, toaster, marble breakfast table, pans and everything you need for cooking. We always rent apt. with basic food. Bathroom with a great 90x90 cabin, towels, hairdryer, soaps etc... Lounge with very comfortable sofa-bed (2 regular single beds), round table, and lots of maps, guides of the surroundings. Previous customers have started a book sharing (English). - First floor - 1 regular bedroom with very comfy double bed. Fresh linen, anti-allergy mattress cover. - Loft - laundry basin with washing machine, drying rack, iron and an extra sink. You will always find detergents. Plus we have organized a media corner with TV, DVD, Game Cube with lots of games. Extras on request: central heating, transfers arrangements from/to Orvieto Rail Station. Bus service very poor, so please contact us for info. We advise to rent a car (cheapest place Orvieto - 10% off for our customers). In the village you will find at a walk reach: a grocery, a butcher, bakery, pharmacy, restaurant and a bar. Besides, there is a bank with ATM machine and post office. Everything is tiny but at hand. Main town of Acquapendente at 6 km, where you can find supermarkets, gas stations, and other restaurants. Description:Villa Arnata is an ancient stone farmhouse situated on a hillside overlooking the peaceful Arnata valley in the centre of Umbria, Italy. The property stands in 33 acres of fields, olive groves and woods. The self catering apartments are well-equipped, comfortable and cosy and there are many outside areas where you can relax and enjoy the views. Shopping can be done in Todi, a 20 minute drive. There are many good restaurants in the area. The property has been made as environmentally friendly as possible. Solar panels provide hot water and photovoltaic panels provide electricity. If you are still reading a book when you are due to leave and would like to take the book with you, no problem. If you could leave a book of your own in it's place that would be great. Villa Arnata is no smoking both in the house and in most of the grounds. Accessibility The house was built on many levels and is unsuitable for those with mobility problems. Outside There are flower gardens all around the house. A shady terrace next to the house with tables and chairs. A gazebo with tables and chairs near to the barbecues. Two barbecues. A terrace with loungers and parasols next to the outside unheated massage pool. Great for cooling off the the summer. Many wooden benches from where you can enjoy great views over the valley to the mountains beyond. A wooden swing seat. A bocce court. Giant outdoor chess. Many places to sit or to walk through. Olive groves, fields, woods, paths, and even an ancient natural spring. The whole farm is at your disposal. Fantastic for bird life, nature, butterflies, wild flowers, shooting stars yet only 70 mins from Siena and Montepulciano, 50 mins Montalcino and Pienza, Pitigliano and the Etruscan valley are 45 mins and Lake Bolsena a little further, and 2.5 hours from Rome, Florence, Pisa. You can get to almost anywhere and yet come home to peace and the song of nightingales and stone curlews.
