Description:Come and see if you do not believe me and the pictures taken by photographer air bnb: this site is a corner of paradise on earth, I'm sorry for you if you do not take the opportunity to holiday in a unique place with cost so little.This refined ground floor apartment, which forms part of this wonderful traditional Italian country house, is surrounded by glorious rolling hills, olive groves, vineyards and spectacular views. Around the house covers an acre of land fenced in which we created a garden, an olive grove that produces an excellent extra virgin, strictly organic garden and a grove of tall trees. So we can enjoy tomatoes, chard, zucchini, salads of various kinds, peas, beans, broccoli and cauliflower, grapes, strawberries, depending on the season. We also collect from our belowed trees plums, peaches, apricots, apples and walnuts. The tranquil location is a heaven of peace and quiet while at the same time being very close to all amenities offered by the busy market town of Marsciano. The house is located about 12 km from the main road through the centre of Umbria linking Assisi (30 minutes), Perugia (20 minutes), Orvieto (40 minutes), Todi (15 minutes) and Spoleto (50 minutes). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ FURTHER DETAILS Normally guests are welcome no earlier than 15 and check out is at 11 o'clock. A welcome pack of wine, water,milk, home made bread and oil extra virgin home produced is provided and the kitchen is supplied with basics such as tea, coffee, sugar etc. We can offer guests some extras that they not find elsewhere such as home cooked meals on arrival or during their stay. In the apartment there is internet access. Just tell us what you would like and we will do our best to provide it ,but first you must arrive... - Accessibility The apartment is on the groundfloor and is suitable for people with mobility problems but not suitable for wheelchairs. - Outside The swimming- pool (12 x 4 meters) is shared with us when we are present and is opened from early May until late September. In the garden near swimming pool there is a gazebo with iron coloured table 4 iron chairs for eating and barbecue. Around swimming-pool there are 4 comfortable sunloungers. Comfortable chairs are available for those who want to read or relax under the shade of trees. Around the property fields, groves of oaks and pines, a stream that forms a small lake, a ring of hills that lead up medieval castles, small villages with their steeples: nature and art. The beloved garden thanks us with a magnificent production of flower: among all the many varieties of roses and peonies. The wood that we planted conteins native tree species such as oaks and holm oaks, fragrant trees such as linden and many others. April is the month in which explode the Umbrian Spring with its blue skies and mild temperatures: it's time to come admiring it and we hope that you take this wonderful opportunity, - Coast/Beach In an hour fourty five you arrive in Ancona, and you're in the middle of the promontory of Mount Conero with its beautiful coastline and beaches where swimming, diving and surfing. In twenty minutes you are on the Trasimeno lake's sandy beaches, where you can practice all water sportses - Golf 20 minutes from Perugia golf club. The Perugia Golf Club is located just 6 km from the center of the Etruscan city of Perugia. The field is a gently undulating par 72, the core of which dates from the late fifties. The club house is made from an old lime kiln, 1921, of which retains the imperious towers, guarding the path reminiscent of the English fields. The driving range, enriched by the inclusion of three-hole executive par 3, is made of laminated wood structure in a modern, welcoming the guests just inside the gate. Description:The outbuilding is located adjacent to the main farm house built in 1800 with stone walls and exposed beams. The entire building was renovated in 2006-2008 following the philosophy of recovery together with the use of innovative materials. The annex building was originally a shed is almost entirely glass and overlooks the covered porch (for guests) and the garden. It has a separate entrance and consists of a single space with kitchenette and sofa bed and a bathroom. The most interesting aspect is the space outside the apartment, consists of an area of 60 sq.m. furnished portico to rest, relax and eat. Two apartments are also available for long or short stays for 7-8 people .The surrounding area Located in the area where the Maremma and the Val D’Orcia Nature Park meet, Mount Amiata is an ancient volcano (1774 m.) with an abundance of underground thermal waters. People can ski at the top of the mountain whose slopes reach down to the outskirts of the Argento coast. Skiing: the ski slopes are about 10 minutes by car from the farm. In winter there are several kilometers of slopes equipped with two chair lifts and ski lifts. The closest thermal bath (20 minutes by car) is at San Filippo in the area there are thermal baths at Bagni Vignone or San Casciano up to those at Petriolo and Saturnia. Mount Amiata has always been a crossroads of intense spiritual activity thanks to its churches and to the Via Francigena which flanks it in the north. At the beginning of the 19th century it witnessed the rise of David Lazzaretti’s social-Christian community on Mount Labro. At the moment it is home to Merigar, the seat of the Dzogchen Community, one of the biggest Tibetan Buddhist centres in Italy whose monuments attract tourists from all over the world every year. It is part of an old farm house, property of our family, which we have restaured. The house has two apartments (this one and a bigger one for 4-6 people) each with his own entrance. Outside there is a common garden where You can relax during the beautiful Tuscan evenings. The apartment has been created to accommodate 2 people and is particularly suitable for couples, spouses or a couple of friends who have a car and want to do a tour of Tuscany. It represents also an excellent solution for a family with one young son for this solution the living room is provided with a sofa bed. The apartment is approx. 70 square meters and consists of: a large living room that includes a typical Tuscan kitchen with stove, refrigerator and dishwasher, table and chairs, traditional fireplace, a sofa and a TV, one bedroom with a double bed in wrought iron and a private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet and a washmachine. The interiors and furnishings are Tuscan style. Most of the objects and furnishings are from the family. The price is very actractive. We have started our activity recently (in 2011) and we have decided, for 2012, to offer our guests the possibility to stay in a very beautiful and relaxing apartment at a very promotional price. Linen and towels are included in the price and will be changed once per week. With an agreement, We offer a swimming pool service, around 2 km from the apartment, to only 5 euro/day (adult), 2,5 euro/day kids (3-12 years) and free for little baby (under 3 years). You can buy the tickets discounted from us. At their arrival, the guests will find a present (a bottle of Chianti Wine from our vineyards) as our welcome. The area is very safe and quiet so, think just relaxing and enjoying it. In Castiglion Fibocchi 0,8 km from the house, you can find farmacy, supermarket and all you need. In the house You will also find the numbers for every emergencies. The location of the apartment is very central and allows to reach easily: Arezzo (12 km) where You can visit the beautiful Pieve (Romanesque church) and the church of San Francesco with the frescoes of Piero della Francesca, the beautiful village of Loro Ciuffenna, Florence (65 km) with all its monuments, museums and the famous Ponte Vecchio, Siena (60 km) and all the Chianti area (40 km), the medieval town of Anghiari (30 km), Casentino area (20-30 km) with its extensive woodlands and beautiful restored historical buildings, including many castles and abbeys and Cortona (40 km), with his etruscan sites. Lake Trasimeno is another wonderful place for sports and relax. For nature lovers there is the National Park of Foreste casentinesi (25 km) and the Monastery of La Verna, where San Francesco d'Assisi lived as hermit. For those seeking entertainment and nightlife there are several options in Arezzo or even in Florence, with their bar, pubs and club.
