Description:Our beach home, The Anchorage, is located on Estero Island on Fort Myers Beach in southwest Florida. Estero Island, also known as Fort Myers Beach, is a seven-mile stretch of oceanfront filled with shopping, dining and live music entertainment. You can enjoy parasailing, jet skiing, volleyball pits, live music, eats and drinks all within walking distance. Don’t want to rely on walking, no worries. Here on the island we have a trolley that travels back and forth along the 7 miles of beach. Our beach home is less than a 2-minute walk from two trolley stops for local commuting. It truly is a carefree way to get around the island for a mere 50 cents a trip. Estero Island attracts thousands of visitors from Germany, France and the United Kingdom each year as well as many folks from the Midwest and east coast of the states. What draws all these visitors to our small beach community you ask? Miles and miles of white, powdery beaches. Honestly, Fort Myers Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Not sold yet on vacationing here on Estero Island? Well, let me tell you about The Anchorage Beach Home. Our lovely beach home is a duplex. It is perfect for two families vacationing together or one big family to spread out! We refer to the two sides as “Sunrise and Sunset” which together comprise “The Anchorage.” Our beach home boasts tasteful, tropical, airy furnishings. We refer to the two sides as “Sunrise and Relax on the lanai, dine under the large umbrella-ed deck or take a cool shower in your own private, outdoor shower. Just added, an in-ground, private, heated, swimming pool! Relax with a cold cocktail while sitting on one of the submerged stools, or maybe enjoying a fun game of water volleyball is more your style ... Just steps (about one football field) to the beach for some of the best shelling in the country, midnight star gazing and awesome sunset celebrations all at half the cost of staying beachfront. To get to the beach you simply walk out the front door, down Anchorage St. for a 2 min. walk. Immediately to the right of the beachfront home is our deeded beach access. No need to worry about wandering little ones we have a beach cart to carry your treasures (kids, coolers, towels, chairs, etc) to the beach effortlessly. Here’s the basic layout of our beach home. Right Side (Sunset) You can enter the right side of the house (Sunset) through the screened lanai. There are two bedrooms on the ground level floor. They are best described as suites. Both offer views to the in-ground swimming pool and have separate outdoor entrances. The suites can be connected to each other through a door that can be left locked for privacy or open for company. Each of these bedrooms has its own bathroom, living area consisting of chair, couch and TV as well as an outdoor porch with chairs. One of these bedrooms (queen bed) has a half bathroom and the other (queen bed) has a full bathroom, laundry facility as well as a kitchenette. The private, outdoor shower can be accessed through the hallway the leads to these bedrooms and upstairs. Upstairs you will you find the family room, kitchen, 2 decks, full sized laundry facilities, 2 bedroom (1 king and 1 queen), full bathroom and bar area with stools and dining area. Both decks are outfitted with tables and chairs. The left side of the house (Sunrise) has a separate, private entrance. It contains a small deck with table and chairs, family room, full bathroom, bedroom (king) loaded kitchen, bar area with stools and dining area. Our kitchens have everything you need and more: refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, stove/oven, coffeemaker, toaster, blender, silverware and dinnerware and all the gadgets you will need whenever you are cooking in. This apartment has a views the tranquil view of Southseas Port and the beautiful private one half mile white sand beaches is a 10 minute walk. It is a 2 double bed room, 2 bathroom apartment on the ground floor with Wheel chair access. Marco Island has something for everyone. Fishing charters, shelling cruises, and boat rentals are some of the island favourites. There are numerous golf courses located within 15 minutes of Marco Island. Tennis courts are available onsite in the South Seas Club complex. For the adventurer, water activities such as jet-skiing, parasailing, and windsurfing are available within minutes of the apartment. Located close to Marco Island are the Florida Everglades. Here one can ride a swamp buggy, airboat, or explore other excursions. There is also an abundance of shopping to choose from in the area from Marco’s quaint shops to the upscale Fifth Avenue in Naples. Outlet shopping is available minutes off the island at the Prime Outlet Mall or the Miramar Outlet Mall in Estero. The Naples Philharmonic is famous for its live entertainment and Marco Movies, the island’s Movie Theatre, is known for serving dinner, beer and wine, as well as traditional movie food favourites. Marco Island also has an enormous array of restaurants ranging from fine dining to fast food. The numerous waterfront restaurants, spa's, tennis courts and other local hangouts. Marco Island is the perfect vacation spot for people of all ages. It is a paradise with something for all. We are letting out the apartment on a monthly basis.
