Room nr 1 is perfect if you are looking for something different to those seen one seen all downtown hotels, or if you wish to live like a local in a home like environment with the freedom and space. Room nr 1 is perfect for 1 2 persons. We got a double or a twin bed. If there are three of you, and someone is comfortable sleeping on the couch, just let us know and we will arrange an extra set of bed linen. Description:This apartment is located only 5 minutes walk from the center of the city. The Helsinki Central Railway station is only a 10 minute walk away, so when arriving from the airport by bys or train it will not take you long to check in. The apartment is located in the Kruununhaka district, and it is a great place when exploring Helsinki. Kruununhaka is one of the oldest disctricts in Helsinki, so it is full of beautiful old buildings to discover if you're into architecture. CHECK-IN / BOOKING - when making a reservation or inquiry, if possible please include details about when you want to check in and out. APARTMENT - You rent the entire apartment which is a compact 20 sqm apartment with a kitchenette and a bathroom. Windows are towards the inner yard, so it is also a very peaceful and safe location. The area is on the road to island Tervasaari, and its only 200 metres away from the apartment. This is good because you have to pay for all the parking places in the streets of Helsinki, with with few exceptions like the space near my apartment. The Kruununhaka district has a number of cosy small shops and restaurants. Most popular tourist sights of Helsinki are within a walking distance. The apartment building was built in 1939, and is well maintained. It has a small inner yard where you can also hang out if you wish. As mentioned, bed is 90 cm wide, so a couple might be able to sleep in it together. If you're not a couple, or if you prefer a little more space while sleeping, there is an extra mattress (80cm wide) that can be used for sleeping on the floor. Clean sheets and towels are always provided for 2 guests. As mentioned in the listing, more than 2 people are welcome, I don't limit the amount of guests but it might get a little crowded with 2 persons. On the other hand, if you use the apartment strictly for sleeping & showers, even 4 persons will fit in. For that, you will need to bring your own sleeping bags and towels, as I'm only able to provide sheets/pillows/towels for 2. Go ahead and ask more if you are a bigger group! The kitchen is fully equipped, so cooking yourself is an option as well. To sum it up: If you prefer a compact, centrally located flat in a safe and peaceful neighbourhood in Helsinki... this is it! Description:Just a 10-20 minute walk from the central attractions, railway and bus stations as well as the southern and western boat terminals, this 33 m2 studio in the trendy design district of Punavuori has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with a tub, 1 double and 1 single bed. Towels and linen are provided. The kitchen was renovated in February 2012 and you'll find everything you need there. Despite the central location, the building is very quiet (no loud music or showering after 11 p.m is allowed). A sauna and swimming pool are available for use on Friday evenings. Smoking is allowed on the balcony. The studio is spaceous for one, comfortable for two and nice even for three people. There's a small playground and a park just outside, as well as popular restaurants, trendy clubs, bars, shops and galleries. Visit the Design museum, Sinebrykoff Museum, Modern art museum Kiasma, or the museums and cinemas in Tennispalatsi, or go shopping on Iso-Roba, in Kamppi, Ruoholahti or Aleksanterinkatu - all just a few minutes away. The big warehouse you see in the street view is actually a live music venue called Nosturi 'The crain'. Other concert venues just around the corner include the Alexander theatre and Gloria, and the ones in the center are a walking distance away. Located by the sea, there's even a tiny beach just a few minutes away in Eiranranta. Description:This 38m2 apartment belongs to my sweet auntie and has one separate bedroom, a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a balcony. It is located in the very heart of Turku, by the river Aura that crosses the city. A speciality in the house is something very typical of Finland - there is a communal sauna in the basement that it´s habitants can use upon reservation! Here you will find yourself within walking distance to all major attractions like museums, art galleries, shops, restaurants, cafés, bars, movie theaters... The house was built in 1961, so I´ll be honest, it´s not a beauty from the outside, and on the inside it is quite basic. Why should you rent this apartment? - The best thing about this place is definitely the location, and that you have the possibility to cook and live among locals and pay a lot less than in a hotel. To specify: there is room for one double bed in the bedroom, but if you would need, a third person could stay in the living room on a super comfy couch! Kallio is a traditionally working-class area that has seen an influx of trendy youngsters, artists and young families moving into the area. The district has many bars, restaurants and the only wood-fired public sauna in Helsinki. The park around the Töölö Bay, the Swimming Stadium with heated water pools and the Linnanmaki amusement park, the oldest and the most popular amusement park, all are within a 10-15-minutes walk from the flat. Description:Location/Area: Although apartment located closer to bohemian east downtown (10 min walking max.), where you can find all the hip bars, shops and other places of interest. Also it is also quite easy to reach the city centre: the tram stop is just next to ten building and it takes on average 15 minutes by tram to reach the city centre/Central Railway Station. The name of the district is Alppila referring to the Alp mountains and it is located on a the top of the hill. So if you want to enjoy the view to the whole city, you can go amusement park which is not far from the house, and enjoy the ride on a Ferrys Wheel or Panoraama (this one is free of charge, by the way). The Alppipuisto (Alps Park) is just a 5-7 minutes walkling distance from the house, in a little valley. During the summer its a nice place for the picnic and hanging out at the little independent music festivals, which are the inevitable part of this area. Also while staying in the neighborhood you can enjoy historical wooden houses, really cool flea market Valtteri, some nice and less pricey then in the city centre traditional restaurants. Apartment: It's nice and cosy studio-apartment around 30 m2. It will suit perfectly for two people. But it can also accomodate three, since there are a double bad at the loft one sofa. I guess we should note that the bathroom is combined with shower and it is really compact (1-1.5 sq.m, please check the pciture), but clean and usable. Another thing to note - the loft is just above the kitchenette (again, please check the pictures). However, overall the studio is just lovely. We are sure you'll enjoy your stay here! Description:400 Meters from Helsinki's famous Kamppi shopping center. This apartment is surrounded by the quaint feeling that the redlight district of Helsinki has to offer. There are many restaurants and a few bars in the surrounding areas. Single bedroom with two single beds (they can be pushed together to make a double if you want, please remember to put them back!). Keyless entry system. The Helsinki old church is right up the road. Be sure to also head into the city center to see the contemporary art museum Kiasma. After a long day in the city, you can go to the Esplanade park and relax. This is one of my favorite places to go in Helsinki. The Kappeli cafe is excellent, and the park itself is a popular summer hangout. There is a tram located on Fredrikinkatu if you need it, all though the walk to Kamppi is only a few minutes. If you want to go further, say to the Island zoo, you can visit reittiopas.fi, enter in your location and your destination. They will give you a detailed description of buses, trams and metro to get you to your location. pro tip if you buy an area ticket on any of the publics, it is good for the next few hours. Description:60 sq meters newly renovated apartment with balcony in the trendy Punavuori neighborhood. A small walk to the hippest restaurants and bars in the city, boutique stores, design museum and less than a 10 minute walk to Kaivopuisto Park and the sea. The apartment has a large bedroom with a king size bed and a large sofa in the living room that could accommodate 1 additional person.
