Description:The apartment is situated in Vallila district in Helsinki, known for a urban working-class distric now inhabited by bohemian young people. The apartment is four kilometers from the city centre and just next to trendy Kallio-district, filled with bars, cafes and second hand stores. The apartment is perfectly located what comes to public transportation: The trams 1, 6, 8, and 7 run just 100m from the door and all the buses go straight to the main railway station in city centre. The Sörnäinen Metro Station is just 500m from the house. The apartment is also a good base if you want to explore the city by bike. About one kilometer from the apartment, starts a huge recreational area of Viikki and Lammassaari, with great forests for hiking, walking routes by the sea and beautiful landscapes. The apartment building it self is built on 1925 and is surrounded by unique wooden buildings district called Wooden Vallila. The building has small inner yard where you can sit in the summer and enjoy your morning coffee. The apartment in on 3rd floor, please note that there is no elevator so you have to climb the stairs. The apartment has one large bedroom and big living room combined to open kitchen. The bathroom is small but serves the purpose :) Windows are on both sides of the building to a small park, which makes the place very light and spacious. There is a wireless network in the apartment for you to use, as well as iMac if you need to use the computer. In the bedroom there is one big bed for two. In livingroom there is a couch where you can sleep as well as one extra mattress. Clean sheets and towels are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped for your use. The apartment is ideal for two persons but 4 people can easily sleep here. The apartment is free for shorter stays. I'll be travelling for these following days, so if you are looking for a place in these days, it is very likely it is free. June: 13.-17. and 22.-24. August 23.-26.8. Description:This spacious 30m2 studio flat in 1910 building has open area kitchen and balkony bed(mezzanine) Apartment is ideal for one or two persons but it can accomodate 3 persons. There are doudlebed(120cmwide) and air bed. Apartment has pc with internet connection. Towels and bed linens included. Apartment is located in Kallio area with good connections to centre(with frequent tramlines 9, 3B and 1,1A . Taking tram you are in centre in 5-6 minutes. Hakaniemi or Sörnäinen metro stations are also within walking distance. During winters you can find ice skating ring just around the corner alongside with two public saunas if you need to warm up :) Helsinki Locations and Districts: Kallio District - Helsinki, Finland, FI A particularly lively and bohemian part of Helsinki, Kallio is situated on the easterly side of the peninsula itself and around 1 km / 0.5 miles to the north of the actual city centre, being linked by the Pitkäsilta Bridge. Kallio is a densely populated area and features many tall apartment blocks, along with endless bars and pubs, together with a towering church, which was built around 100 years ago.
