Description:A studio in a hippy location 10 minutes from the city centre, main railway station, beach and central park. The scandinavian style apartment is on the 2/4 floor. It consists a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, vestibule and three big windows to the surrounding park. It includes all the basic amenities (internet, kitchen appliances, wc/shower, washing machine etc. - except tv and dish washer). The apartment is rather small, best for 1-2 persons. There is a double bed and I can also provide a mattress for a third person if needed. The apartment is nice but it's bit bohemian too few moldings are missing etc. That's why it's a bit cheaper. And a cat called Emily lives here, whom i'll of course take with me when renting, but you might take it into consideration if you're super allergic. I don't smoke but I don't care if people do it here. The place is located in the heart of Kallio neighborhood, most exciting what Helsinki has to offer. Though there are countless bars nearby, the location is surprisingly silent thanks to the surrounding Torkkelinmäki park there is no pass-through traffic for example. The park is also a great place to have picnic. There's a bakery in the next building, 24/7 grocery store and metro/tram are 5 minutes away. Airport is 1/2 hour away by taxi, 40 minutes by bus and all the passenger ship terminals 15 min away. There are usually available parking places on surrounding streets and also free 24/7 parking 5 minutes away. The building was ranked #7 in the most wanted place to live in Helsinki in the of list real-estate agency Oikotie.fi, highest in the neighborhood.... more info >>

Description:This 38m2 apartment belongs to my sweet auntie and has one separate bedroom, a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a balcony. It is located in the very heart of Turku, by the river Aura that crosses the city. A speciality in the house is something very typical of Finland - there is a communal sauna in the basement that it´s habitants can use upon reservation! Here you will find yourself within walking distance to all major attractions like museums, art galleries, shops, restaurants, cafés, bars, movie theaters... The house was built in 1961, so I´ll be honest, it´s not a beauty from the outside, and on the inside it is quite basic. Why should you rent this apartment? - The best thing about this place is definitely the location, and that you have the possibility to cook and live among locals and pay a lot less than in a hotel. To specify: there is room for one double bed in the bedroom, but if you would need, a third person could stay in the living room on a super comfy couch! Description:Location/Area: Although apartment located closer to bohemian east downtown (10 min walking max.), where you can find all the hip bars, shops and other places of interest. Also it is also quite easy to reach the city centre: the tram stop is just next to ten building and it takes on average 15 minutes by tram to reach the city centre/Central Railway Station. The name of the district is Alppila referring to the Alp mountains and it is located on a the top of the hill. So if you want to enjoy the view to the whole city, you can go amusement park which is not far from the house, and enjoy the ride on a Ferrys Wheel or Panoraama (this one is free of charge, by the way). The Alppipuisto (Alps Park) is just a 5-7 minutes walkling distance from the house, in a little valley. During the summer its a nice place for the picnic and hanging out at the little independent music festivals, which are the inevitable part of this area. Also while staying in the neighborhood you can enjoy historical wooden houses, really cool flea market Valtteri, some nice and less pricey then in the city centre traditional restaurants. Apartment: It's nice and cosy studio-apartment around 30 m2. It will suit perfectly for two people. But it can also accomodate three, since there are a double bad at the loft one sofa. I guess we should note that the bathroom is combined with shower and it is really compact (1-1.5 sq.m, please check the pciture), but clean and usable. Another thing to note - the loft is just above the kitchenette (again, please check the pictures). However, overall the studio is just lovely. We are sure you'll enjoy your stay here! There are two sleeping rooms with double beds and two sofas (one in the living room the other on the second floor). The place is fully furnished and there is a small TV, DVD and a dishwasher. So, you will have all you need for a comfortable accommodation. To keep you warm there is a traditional Finnish sauna in the house. The nearest train station is 10 minutes away by foot. Description:Photos of the apartment to follow shortly, just need to take a few pics! My small flat on the small island Lauttasaari in Helsinki will be available for around two weeks when I will be abroad. Dates are around 23.5. to 10.6. and quite flexible, so you tell me when you would want to stay there and is it 1 week, 2 weeks or for the whole period (around 17 nights max). It is an approx 25m2 apartment on the third floor with elevator. One room, a small kitchen, and bathroom with shower, toilet and washing machine. Kitchen is equipped with all the basics you need for cooking as well microwave, kitchen blender, coffeemaker etc. In the room there is a 140 cm double bed and table for two. Big windows and a very light apartment with parquet flooring and white walls. 10mb WLAN is included, unfortunately no TV. The sand beach is located 500 m from the house, a popular spot for kiteboarders and with beach café etc. This area of Helsinki is truly beautiful that time of the year! I can leave a bicycle that you are free to use to explore the city. Close to everything - grocery shops, ATM, bus stops, restaurants, bars and everything are all within a short walking distance. Takes less than 10 minutes with bus to Helsinki center (Kamppi) and you have several connections to choose from. Parking is free on the streets outside the house, no private parking. I have a small dog living with me in the apartment, so probably not the best possible if you are allergic. You are however welcome to bring your small dog with you if you happen to have one. Description:Welcome to Finnish countryside! The cottage is in Oravi, 45 kilometers from Savonlinna in eastern part of Finland. Cottage is by the famously beautiful Lake Saimaa in idyllic countryside. The lake is only 15 metres from the cottage terrace! The cottage has electricity but no running water. It is decorated with taste and as a feeling of a traditional Finnish cottage with is wooden design and closeness of the forest and lake. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with the fridge, oven, microwave and all the pots, pans and cutlery you need to cook. It has a living room, dining area and a fireplace. The cottage also has a heater/cooler. There is one double bed and a sofa, where two kids or one adult can sleep. The cottage is about 50m2 big. It has a beautiful terrace with class windows to enjoy your breakfast or sit in the evening. In the beautiful yard there are tables and chairs for you to sit in or have dinner. There are some flowers and the yard is big enough for the children to play. In the yard there is also a extra building that has two beds. You also can use the grill and make your dinner outside. There is a separate sauna building, where you can enjoy the real finnish experience of bathing! Sauna is heated by wood as they traditionally have been in Finland. After the sauna you can hop for a swim in the lake and enjoy the midnight sun and the sounds of nature at the terrace of the sauna. There is no shower in the sauna, but the water is pumped from the lake so you don't have to carry the water inside to wash up. The beach has a huge platform to sit and enjoy the great views of Saimaa. It is easy to go for a swim just by stairs from the platform. The beach is not very suitable for really small children to swim since the water is deep. The toilet is a separate small toilet building. The toilet is traditional but modern bio/compost toilet, where there is no water to flush. You just throw some moud designed for bio toilet use to the toilet after you are done. The toilet is a compost: every year it is emptied and the result is clean compost mold for the garden :) The small town of Oravi is about 3 kilometers from the cottage. There is one small supermarket and a restaurant. From Oravi town you can hire a canoe, a boat or make trips to famous and extraordinary beautiful nature park of Linnansaari. In the only restaurant of Oravi, there are some live music evenings and karaoke nights during the summer. From the cottage you can just go straigt to forest to pick berries, mushroom or just go hiking and enjoying the nature. There is a small boat you can use to row in the lake. You can fish in the lake if you wish. You can spot birds, small animals and bats in the evening. And moskitos :) If you are really lucky, you can spot the trace of very endangered species of Finnish lake seal, which lives in this area of Lake Saimaa! There are only 150 of the lake seals left in the whole world. The culture life and restaurants and shops of Savonlinna are only 45 minutes drive away. Savonlinna is 350 km from Helsinki, 160km from Kuopio, 140km form Joensuu and 160 km from Lappeenranta. This place is a great place to enjoy the peaceful Finnish countryside. Kallio is a densely populated area and features many tall apartment blocks, along with endless bars and pubs, together with a towering church, which was built around 100 years ago.
