Description:Location/Area: Although apartment located closer to bohemian east downtown (10 min walking max.), where you can find all the hip bars, shops and other places of interest. Also it is also quite easy to reach the city centre: the tram stop is just next to ten building and it takes on average 15 minutes by tram to reach the city centre/Central Railway Station. The name of the district is Alppila referring to the Alp mountains and it is located on a the top of the hill. So if you want to enjoy the view to the whole city, you can go amusement park which is not far from the house, and enjoy the ride on a Ferrys Wheel or Panoraama (this one is free of charge, by the way). The Alppipuisto (Alps Park) is just a 5-7 minutes walkling distance from the house, in a little valley. During the summer its a nice place for the picnic and hanging out at the little independent music festivals, which are the inevitable part of this area. Also while staying in the neighborhood you can enjoy historical wooden houses, really cool flea market Valtteri, some nice and less pricey then in the city centre traditional restaurants. Apartment: It's nice and cosy studio-apartment around 30 m2. It will suit perfectly for two people. But it can also accomodate three, since there are a double bad at the loft one sofa. I guess we should note that the bathroom is combined with shower and it is really compact (1-1.5 sq.m, please check the pciture), but clean and usable. Another thing to note - the loft is just above the kitchenette (again, please check the pictures). However, overall the studio is just lovely. We are sure you'll enjoy your stay here! The Tampere centrum is located approximately 2,5 kilometres from the flat, so I would call that walking distance too. The apartment has one bedroom, an open kitchen with the living room, bathroom with sauna and a balcony. There is a washing machine, dryer and a drying room in the bottom floor of the apartment building, which can be used free of charge after booking a time. Description:Welcome to Finnish countryside! The cottage is in Oravi, 45 kilometers from Savonlinna in eastern part of Finland. Cottage is by the famously beautiful Lake Saimaa in idyllic countryside. The lake is only 15 metres from the cottage terrace! The cottage has electricity but no running water. It is decorated with taste and as a feeling of a traditional Finnish cottage with is wooden design and closeness of the forest and lake. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with the fridge, oven, microwave and all the pots, pans and cutlery you need to cook. It has a living room, dining area and a fireplace. The cottage also has a heater/cooler. There is one double bed and a sofa, where two kids or one adult can sleep. The cottage is about 50m2 big. It has a beautiful terrace with class windows to enjoy your breakfast or sit in the evening. In the beautiful yard there are tables and chairs for you to sit in or have dinner. There are some flowers and the yard is big enough for the children to play. In the yard there is also a extra building that has two beds. You also can use the grill and make your dinner outside. There is a separate sauna building, where you can enjoy the real finnish experience of bathing! Sauna is heated by wood as they traditionally have been in Finland. After the sauna you can hop for a swim in the lake and enjoy the midnight sun and the sounds of nature at the terrace of the sauna. There is no shower in the sauna, but the water is pumped from the lake so you don't have to carry the water inside to wash up. The beach has a huge platform to sit and enjoy the great views of Saimaa. It is easy to go for a swim just by stairs from the platform. The beach is not very suitable for really small children to swim since the water is deep. The toilet is a separate small toilet building. The toilet is traditional but modern bio/compost toilet, where there is no water to flush. You just throw some moud designed for bio toilet use to the toilet after you are done. The toilet is a compost: every year it is emptied and the result is clean compost mold for the garden :) The small town of Oravi is about 3 kilometers from the cottage. There is one small supermarket and a restaurant. From Oravi town you can hire a canoe, a boat or make trips to famous and extraordinary beautiful nature park of Linnansaari. In the only restaurant of Oravi, there are some live music evenings and karaoke nights during the summer. From the cottage you can just go straigt to forest to pick berries, mushroom or just go hiking and enjoying the nature. There is a small boat you can use to row in the lake. You can fish in the lake if you wish. You can spot birds, small animals and bats in the evening. And moskitos :) If you are really lucky, you can spot the trace of very endangered species of Finnish lake seal, which lives in this area of Lake Saimaa! There are only 150 of the lake seals left in the whole world. The culture life and restaurants and shops of Savonlinna are only 45 minutes drive away. Savonlinna is 350 km from Helsinki, 160km from Kuopio, 140km form Joensuu and 160 km from Lappeenranta. This place is a great place to enjoy the peaceful Finnish countryside. Description:Our apartment has the most exciting location in the bohemian and hipster district of Kallio in Helsinki downtown. Excellent public transportation options: number 1, 3, 8 and 9 trams just around the corner and 200 metres to Hakaniemi metro station. With tram it takes 10-15 minutes to the city centrum. Grocery store 30 metres away (you can actually see it from the window), one of the most popular theaters in Helsinki (Ryhmäteatteri) on the other side of the road. All the bars and pubs in the lively Kallio close by. There are also many small parks surrounding our block and a gym / swimming hall / bowling alley on the other side of the road. The Linnanmäki amusement park is also within 200 metres of walk, and the Olympic Stadium is also very near. Our apartment (60m2) is renovated and decorated with style but also with an original touch. We have lots of art in the walls and there is also a small Ateljé in the magnificent bay window area. In the apartment there is 1 bedroom with a very good futon bed (real bed), full kitchen with stove, oven and dishwasher and all the equipment you might need (also fridge-freezer), a living room with large sofa (sleeps 2) and wide screen television ( dvd stereosoundsystem) and a bathroom with shower and a separate toilet. Lots of cupboard space and linen and towels included. The apartment is on the 4th floor and NO elevator. We have a dog. Just to let you know, if you have a bad allergy etc...
