Description:This is the perfect near Madison getaway for any season. If you are looking for a sweet retreat, this is a great spot for you. 10 minutes drive West of the Beltline and less than a mile from the Military Ridge bike/snowmobile trail and the historic Riley Tavern. Perfect for a romantic get-away near the Sugar River. The cabin has a sleeping loft accessible by ladder, electricity, heatplates and dishes for cooking,wood burning stove, wood, clean linens, and carried in water. Good cell phone reception on all carriers. Shower and flushing toilet in a bathroom attached to the 'big house', 400 ft. walk (3-5 minutes uphill). In cabin toilet and sink rudimentary, meaning no running water. Must be able bodied to stay here comfortably. Oh, and did I mention the Riley Tavern is right down the road? Sunday pancake breakfast is $6! Bands on the weekend and burgers and beer everyday but Monday. WIFI at the tavern available. Appleberry farm also within a mile. Strawberry picking, apple and pumpkin picking- seasonally. Porch swing and deck overlooking (ice) fishing pond, and the Sugar River. 10 acres of hiking (great for snowshoeing) and woods. Fits two adults on double bed with new matress and a kid or two on sleeping couch cushions on the floor or small futon. Description:Part of a former hardware store now a one of a kind loft getaway. I converted this space for a weekend getaway for myself. I tried to be as green as possible by recycling and re purposing building materials. A big 1980s bar, 1950s Metal kitchen, 1030s Ben Hur freeze converted to an island stove plus mostly recycled door, windows and bath fixtures. The main area is appx. 1000 sq ft with 12 foot ceilings. The executive suite has a queen size bed and the are the Pullman Junior suites, They are 60 and 70 sq ft sleeping alcoves. There is an indoor parking area still under construction for motorcycles, bikes, canoes or snowmobiles. I am on the doorstep of SW Wisconsin adventures. A few blocks away you can get on a bike trail nework with over 200 miles of trails, the Sugar River is across the street for tubing fishing or canoe/kayaks. The Swiss town of New Glarus and its acclaimed brewery are 20 minutes away. The Driftless area has some of the best motorcycling roads in the central Midwest. In the winter hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails are at the door. For some culture you are 30 miles south of the wonderful collage town and state captial of Madison.... more info >>

Description:Hi, I travel all the time for work so my nice 2 BR apt. near Hilldale Mall is free a lot. Weekends I am there with my daughter, but weekdays, its either free or I am happy to have a guest, if in town. Location is great. Mall isn't bastion of culture, but it is handy and the #2 bus stops right in front of my place and goes direct to UW, downtown and airport. My place is quite nice and has updated kitchen and a bike to borrow in nice weather if you prefer to bus. Wi fi of course. I'm fine to host or rent my place to biz travelers, students, holiday in-laws, big game out of towners, etc. When in town I work from home, but you are welcome to be here.... more info >>
