Description:Welcome to our beach home. 14 Nautical Watch is located within the gates of Private Harbor Island. This Island offers 2 1/2 miles of pristine beach, access to 2 swimming pools, tennis, volleyball, playgrounds, fishing, fitness center and much more. All of the amenities of the Island are included in your rental....NO EXTRA CHARGES HERE! The home was completed in the Winter of 2003 and is professionally decorated and furnished with your comfort in mind. Three of the bedrooms offer queen size beds, 1 bedroom offers built in bunks and the other a full size day bed. The kitchen is open to the dining room and great room for great family gatherings, all with views of the Ocean, Marsh and St. Helena Sound. The beach is only about 300 yards away. The Island is adjacent to Hunting State Park for the avid Nature Lover and only 4 miles to Fripp for the Golf enthusist. Beaufort and Parris Island are only about 20 minutes away. Enjoy awesome restuarants and the charm of this historic town. You will also enjoy the local seafood, straight from the boats. If you'd like to venture to Savannah, you will have a 60 minute drive and Charleston is 90 minutes away. Harbor Island is the ideal location for a family vacation. Parris Island is only 20 minutes away. Military families are welcomed for your loved one's graduation. We allow small crated dogs only. We have 4 beach chairs available at the beginning of each year, but we cannot promise what condition they will be in by the end of summer. We have 4 working bicycles, but each guest is responsible for maintaining them. Description:This beautiful Ocean Front Villa on Harbor Island is nestled between the St. Helena Sound and Johnson Creek facing out to the Atlantic Ocean (see map). The waters here in the lowcountry are very tidal. This is great fun for children because they can walk often 200' while exploring the tidal pools for sand dollars (don't remove if not white, they are alive), starfish, crabs, etc. The other benefit for young children is that there are no steep drop-offs. On Harbor Island there are no waves. If you want waves, the beaches at Hunting or Fripp Island would be a better place to visit or stay. What is so fascinating is that every beach is different and to explore the differences is what is fun and exciting and educational for our children. The condominium complex has several boardwalks giving everyone easy access to the beach. We have people swimming in the ocean everyday and everyone makes the trip by foot (not sure what guest is referring to). nWe are lucky to have Hunting Island State Park nearby. If you would like to visit our SC State Park, tour the lighthouse, or have access to a beach with some waves, then Hunting Island is a great place to spend the day. They also have a long fishing pier and Nature Center that is worth visiting. nIf you are looking for a quiet getaway where you can take nice long beach walks or let your children explore the many tidal pools at low tide and swim in the ocean, this condo is centrally located on the island. Description:Flip flops, sand between your toes and sun in your eyes. Just like 'The Good Ole Days': quiet, no crowds and no traffic. Leave your worries behind, take off that tie, work boots, or high heels and turn off that cell phone too. You won't need them here. But, if you must get online there is free WiFi. Our condo is perfect for relaxing and well equipped. So kick back, put your feet up and relax. Have a glass of wine, a cold beer or some sweet tea on our beach front deck and enjoy the ocean view. Go to bed at night with the windows open and hear the waves splashing on the beach, then wake up to the most beautiful sunrises anywhere then go for an early beach walk with your coffee and look for turtle tracks. What a way to start the morning! n nThere's lots to do. Fishing, shrimping, crabbing, shelling and swimming at one of the pools at either end of the building or the Olympic size pool and a children's pool at the Beach and Racquet Club just a couple minutes walk away. The Beach and Racquet club also has a gym you can use, a playground for kids and bikes for rent. Don't forget to bring the beach toys! n nThere's nature galore, nesting birds, gators (don't feed them!) ghost crabs at dusk, seagulls flying low just waiting for some bread crumbs and even a pair of Osprey's nesting near the crabbing dock. For even more nature visit Hunting Island State Park, it's just across the the river. n nThere's so much to do and so little time. So make the best of every minute and enjoy! n nOur condo has a well equipped contemporary kitchen with a breakfast bar. During the renovation the first floor was changed to an open floor plan. There is a dinning area, family room area and powder room downstairs too. The second floor has two bedrooms each with its own full bath. The master bedroom has a king size bed, huge eight foot wide window overlooking the ocean and a shower that has two shower heads, one of which is a rainfall shower head. The second bedroom has two twin size beds and a combined bathtub and shower. There are flat screen TVs and BluRay players in the family room and each bedroom. Free WiFi just for our guests. Free calling to the 50 states, which is important because cell phone coverage is spotty. There is a washer and dryer in the condo too. n nOur condo is strictly non-smoking.... more info >>
