Kurtuluş is a very cosmopolitan area and has a lively neighborhood life. Several restaurants and shops nearby are open for 24 hours. Kurtuluş son durak bus stop is in 3 minutes walking distance from the apartment. There are frequent buses to Taksim, Kabataş, Eminönü, Aksaray, Yenikapı from 6.00 AM to 11.00 PM. Taxi fare to/from Taksim Square is about 3 USD. The apartment is duplex and the room is situated on the upper floor with a beautiful city view. In the aisle there is a big sized refrigerator and microwave that you can use and are shared with the room across the aisle. We can provide you iron, ironing board and hair dryer. Laundry service is going to be charged USD 5 You'll have a perfect privacy. The first room has a private bathroom with rain shower, 24 hours hot water and heating in winter. There is a ventilating fan for summer. There is a wardrobe, table, 2 chairs, extra couch, chest of drawers, kettle, vanity mirror and a library -mostly travel books and magazines with some photography books- in the room. Description:Hey, if you don't want to stay near the Sultanahmet or Galata areas during your visit to Istanbul, yet still somewhere close enough that you can reach both places under 15 minutes by public transportation, then this flat could be a good option for you as the rent per meters square is cheaper in the Sehremini district of Istanbul than the touristic areas. You'll be staying very close to the Istanbul University Medical Faculty at Capa, an area where many students and doctors live. The Basvekil avenue is one of the main streets in this area and has shops open until late in the morning. It is a lively residential area of Istanbul, where the president of the Fatih municipality also lives. Location is very close to the street bazaar that runs every Tuesday, and there are quite good and economic restaurants nearby. Upon arrival, I'll show you the public transportation points in the area and also give you an Istanbul card which you can use for public transportation. I also tour every guest shortly in the Galata and Asmalimescit areas of Istanbul, so they can get a quick start to their journey in Istanbul. Let me give some brief info about transportation costs in Istanbul. There are shared taxis running 24/7 toward Taksim from near the flat. They cost roughly 1.5$ per person in 1 direction, and if there is little traffic, they should arrive at Taksim square in less than 10 minutes, with traffic it might take around 30 minutes. The traffic jams happen usually during after-work hours, so avoid being on traffic between 16:00 and 20:00. There is no extra charge for night rides of taxis in Istanbul. So don't worry if you have to take a late night taxi home. It would cost the same as during the day. From the flat to Taksim Square, a ride should cost around 7-10$. From the flat to Sultanahmet, my suggestion would be that you take the tram, it costs 2TL per person. Again a taxi ride from Sultanahmet (hagia sophia, topkapi palace, etc) to home should not cost more than 7-10$.... more info >>
