Description:The house is a restored contemporary designed historic house located in one of the prettiest parts of the old center right in front of the baroque St-Anne's church on a cobblestone square. It's an easy 5-10 minute walk along the beautiful canals to most of the city's highlights. There are also a couple of nice museums just around the corner. The area is really quiet but supersafe. There are a couple of good upscale restaurants and bars nearby and a quaint bistro on the square itself. Self-catering is no problem either as there is a supermarket really close as well as some delicious bakeries, etc... There is free (limited time -blue disc) parking right in front of the door. The house itself has 3 floors (no elevator). The ground floor has a large living room with open annexed dining room and kitchen. The upper floors each have a bathroom (one with a jacuzzi, the other with a shower) and bedrooms. There's no large garden but a pretty bamboo lined terrace with a table some sunloungers in case the weather would allow for sunbathing. Some of the amenities: WIFI, cable TV, guest computer, radio, dishwasher, laundromat, stove oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and pretty much everything you might need in the kitchen. As I usually live in the house there will be basic food products too. You can use it but be fair and replenish the products you used. There will be towels shower gel/shampoo available in the bathrooms. NO PETS SMOKING ALLOWED BUT NOT IN BEDROOMS... more info >>

Description:This newly renovated seaside villa, in a popular Normandy village, is in a quiet spot. At the end of the street, is a 12km sand beach, stretching south to the historic town of Granville, birthplace of Christian Dior. n nThe house is a very comfortable family house, suitable for very large families or several families sharing. The house sleeps 12 very comfortably, in 6 bedrooms, and has a large enclosed private garden, good for running around, football and dogs. n nThere are four bedrooms with twin beds that can be converted into superking size beds if preferred and two other bedrooms, one with a queen size 140cm double bed and the other with a 160cm double bed. They are hotel quality beds, which are extremely comfortable. There are also two wooden cot beds (under 2s). n nThe bedrooms are situated on both floors, which allows for some extra privacy. The two downstairs bedrooms both have the twin/superking option, with a bathroom and loo shared between the two rooms. Upstairs are two bathrooms one with bath and loo, and one with a shower and a separate loo. n nThere are also two high chairs, and we provide potties, a baby bath, extra high chairs etc if needed. The house is also equipped with plastic plates, spoons and knives for children. On request we can provide a baby pack, including nappies, baby food etc. In fact apart from a baby buggy/pram, we try to provide everything you will need. There is a good range of toys and games for different ages, including a wendy house, trampoline, and all the necessary buckets, spades and toys for the beach. n nWe also supply all the towels for the beach and house, all linens and a 10kg washing machine, 8kg tumble drier, and all the shower and house cleaning products. Our aim is that you should be able to travel as light as possible. There is a good selection of books and films (over 400) in the house, both for adults and children, and Sky TV and French TNT. n nSt Martin is a really fantastic place for children of all ages. There is an amazing range of activities for ages from 3 . At the bottom of the street is the sailing club, which also does sand yachting, kite surfing etc. Next to it is the golf course. In the other direction is the riding school. If you take the coast road to Granville you pass another golf course and the airfield, where the brave can go parachute jumping or take a ULM flight over the bay of Mont St Michel. n nThere are also plenty of interesting and fun days out you can d nThe zoo and landscaped part, at Champrepus nThe Elf Forest and Paint Ball at Cerences nSienne Botanical Park at La Baleine nThe Andouillerie, selling regional products at St Denis Le Gast nThe lake, and junior leisure park, and horse drawn cart rides at St Martin de Brc3a9hal nThe marine museum at Regneville sur Mer nThe Abbey of Lucerne and Abbey of Hambye nThe Bay of Mont Saint Michel, ceramics factory nMaison de la Baie, permanent exhibition of life in the Bay, at Vains St Leonard nGuided crossings of the Bay of Mont St Michel and of Mont St Michel nCarnival at Granville the weekend before Mardi Gras nCinema, Casino, Museum of Modern Art, Old Granville Museum, Aquarium du Roc, Butterfly Garden, Mineral Palace, Shelfish Kingdon and over 30 restaurants in Granville and another dozen or even closer (less than 10km). n nIf any of your party wishes to bring dogs, we have two dog kennels and runs, and there are great walks in every direction. Because the house is on the edge of the village it is very quiet, and our neighbour is a spa for horses, where the French International teams come and do their final preparation in July. Every morning from 6am to 9.30am, all summer long, you can go and watch the horses gallop along the beach through the surf. n nThis coast-line has the largest tides in Europe, and when the tides are very high, you can go a couple of kms up the coast and watch the salt marshes flood, which is impressive to see. The sea where we are is relatively shallow, at all but high tide, and you can see the mussel beds rising out of the sea and eat really fresh mussels in the village restaurant. It also means it is a good place to learn to swim and when the tide is out you can stand in the sea and watch the fish swimming round you.... more info >>

Description:Situated near the charming french village of Delettes and only 45 minutes from Calais in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region of France, the 19th century Farmhouse, old house and the barns, enclose the four sides of its huge courtyard, entered though two large gates under one of the barns. It creates a completely private and large secure space (especially for smaller children), which is also an amazing sun trap and micro climate. To the rear of The Farmhouse there is a large garden, big enough to play 5 aside football or cricket, and a heated swimming pool. The Farmhouse was our home from home for over 16 years until we restored the Old House in 2005 which is usually only occupied by the family when there are no guests in the Farmhouse, so you have the whole place to yourselves. The Farmhouse is still furnished and equipped as we had it then for our own comfort and relaxation. It is truly an overseas home from home. It is ideal for any time of year, whatever the weather, or for any size of group wishing to take a relaxing short weekend break or full holiday. Our prices start from 4 persons upwards and vary according to length of stay, number of persons staying, and the time of year. The minimum stay is two nights and it is available every day of the year. There are four bedrooms for up to 8 adults but it can sleep up to 12 people using the sofa bed in the games room and z beds (which are suitable for children). It has full oil fired central heating and constant hot water, as well as a fully equipped kitchen for foodies, a dining room and a sitting room with a log fuelled stove and comfortable sofas. There is masses to do there for children of all ages (and their parents) in and around the farmhouse with its games room, courtyard, barns with trampoline, football nets, badminton and ride on toys, garden games and heated pool (available mid-May – mid-October). There is an extensive library of books and guide books, CDs and records, as well as table tennis, table football and a dart board in the games room, a TV with DVD/Video player and a large collection of videos to suit all ages and tastes - if you are there long enough for everything else to pall. It has a calming atmosphere all of its own, as well as an ability to seemingly expand to absorb large parties and to feel homely if there are only two of you. Perhaps it is something to do with being the site of a monastery farm for many centuries and being able to shut out the world with the enormous courtyard gates. Who knows, but families who have stayed and come back again and again have said it is one of the most relaxing holidays they have had, as the children are always fully occupied and there is plenty of space for everyone. Over the years, our guests have used the Farmhouse for everything from celebrating landmark anniversaries and re-unions, family holidays with grandparents or just enjoying good food and drink with friends, to spending a quiet romantic weekend à deux enjoying the tranquility of the house and garden. There is full oil fired central heating so that even in winter the Farmhouse is warm and cosy inside with the added benefit of a log fire. There are lots of books, including a library of the military history of the area, particularly the First and Second World Wars and 100 years’ war as we are only 45 minutes away from Agincourt and an hour from the Western Front. There are jigsaws and board games, including Pas de Calais Monopoly! Risk, Tyrants Tower etc. and numerous packs of cards. You can even revisit your childhood with a game of tiddlywinks or marbles. The kitchen is set up for foodies – for those who like to cook as well as eat. The available ingredients in the market and hypermarkets (let alone locally) will leave you spoiled for choice. It has a cooker/oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and a basic stock of herbs and spices, rice, pasta, etc. right down to oyster openers and garlic crushers. We like to cook! There is a cellar under the kitchen for really smelly cheeses and wine with a spare fridge in the utility room for overflow when you have bought just a little too much in the market! The large master bedroom has a double bed (and a single bed if you need a small child to share) with views over the garden whilst the other three bedrooms have twin beds and views into the courtyard. The games room has a Futon and a sofa bed and there are two Z beds for use by children along with two travel cots and high chairs for smaller children. There are 2 separate loos upstairs and a separate shower room and a separate loo downstairs with an additional shower room and bathroom. There is a utility room with washing machines and tumble dryers. The Farmhouse is looked after by our French housekeeper and her family, who lives in the village, and is available to assist you if needed. They can supply fresh eggs (if the hens are laying) and fresh milk direct from their farm. Further details outdoors: The courtyard is huge and as it is closed in on all four sides, is completely private, as well as creating its own micro-climate, which makes it usable for sitting out or eating outside much earlier or later in the year than you would normally expect. It is a great place to get that tan in summer whilst listening to your favourite music through the sitting room windows or to eat outside in the evenings. For more information and photos of The Farmhouse and immediate area please visit our website through the link or Google Hamilton Holiday Houses. The main barn at one end of the courtyard has a full size trampoline and swing set on a bark base, with 5- aside sized football nets, a marked out badminton court, a basketball net and ride- on toys for use by smaller children. Once the big gates from the road into the courtyard are closed (they can be locked on the inside) the courtyard and garden provide an enormous secure play area for children In the barn between the courtyard and the garden we have garden badminton sets, boules sets, footballs, cricket bats and stumps, hockey sticks, boules, garden Jenga etc. There is also a barbecue and extra tables for eating outside and garden chairs. There are goal posts which can be used in the garden in the summer and in the main barn in winter if it is raining. The heated swimming pool in the garden is 10 x 5 meters and over 1 meter deep. It is fully enclosed with a wall for security with a lockable door. With the high wall around it, it is a sun trap, catching the sun until late evening.... more info >>
