Description:The house is a restored contemporary designed historic house located in one of the prettiest parts of the old center right in front of the baroque St-Anne's church on a cobblestone square. It's an easy 5-10 minute walk along the beautiful canals to most of the city's highlights. There are also a couple of nice museums just around the corner. The area is really quiet but supersafe. There are a couple of good upscale restaurants and bars nearby and a quaint bistro on the square itself. Self-catering is no problem either as there is a supermarket really close as well as some delicious bakeries, etc... There is free (limited time -blue disc) parking right in front of the door. The house itself has 3 floors (no elevator). The ground floor has a large living room with open annexed dining room and kitchen. The upper floors each have a bathroom (one with a jacuzzi, the other with a shower) and bedrooms. There's no large garden but a pretty bamboo lined terrace with a table some sunloungers in case the weather would allow for sunbathing. Some of the amenities: WIFI, cable TV, guest computer, radio, dishwasher, laundromat, stove oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and pretty much everything you might need in the kitchen. As I usually live in the house there will be basic food products too. You can use it but be fair and replenish the products you used. GHENT Is the central place to be in Flanders region. It can be your homebase to visit the rest of the country. From Ghent you reach easily Bruges, Antwerp, Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam. Ghent itselves is one of the major historical cities of Belgium. FROM MY apartment you can visit all in a walk: the three towers, the cathedral, shopping, the castle, TOURIST nearby castle. Even all public transport is around. Apartment: There is a master bedroom with double bed, and a second bedroom with 2 single beds and a bunk bed. I still have a cot. I offer you my whole apartment shared with a furnished kitchen, living room, bathroom with bath, 2 sleeping rooms. My way of living makes that we just meet when it is necessary.
