The kitchen is open to the Dining Room which has a large dining table with 6 additional chairs. This room flows into the Living area which offers a large stone gas fireplace for usage during the cooler months, TV, stereo system, and DVD player as well as ample seating space for friends and family to gather, talk, play games, or watch the lake and just enjoy each others company. There is a large sun porch that is accessible from this main level where you will find a seat for soaking up the sun and relaxing while cooking out on the gas grill. The main level of this home also includes a half bath and a laundry area as well as one of the large master suites with a king bed and private bathroom.Going upstairs from the main level you will find the second master suite with a king sized bed, this is a very large bedroom with a private bath, private balcony overlooking the lake, and a gas fireplace for the winter months. Downstairs from the main level you will walk into the family room which has a TV with DVD player, lots of seating space, game table and a ping pong table for your guests to enjoy. Rental of Pawley’s Place includes usage of a pontoon boat, paddle boat, and two kayaks during your stay. The cove where this home is located is open and quiet. A truly wonderful location for swimming, fishing, or paddling around the shoreline. This newly renovated 4 bedroom 2 bath cabin in Bat Cave surrounded by 70 acres of all the beauty WNC offers is secluded and quite with the attractions and activities of Lake Lure and Chimney rock only a few minutes away and the city of Hendersonville only 20 minutes away. Upon arriving you will notice the large covered porches of Saluda falls, the outdoor areas here offer a swimming pond and river for playing and fishing only a few steps from the front and back door. There is lots of space to run around and play outside. The stone patio on the outside of the new living area and patio set on the back deck has seating for 6 overlooking the river. Have outdoor adventurers in your group? Take a hike! Please use any of the hiking trails on property to explore the natural beauty of the area. One of these trails goes up to Slick Rock. Walking into the house, you will see the sitting room which is great for cozy afternoons. In the winter months, use the wonderful wood burning fireplace. This room is open to the brand new kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances. From the family/recreation room, the Master Suite and one of the guest rooms you can access the lower level deck and screen porch. From this level, it is just a short walk to the top of the boathouse, dock and waterfront. To further enhance your visit at the Clipper Inn, there is a pontoon boat (max. occupancy 8) included with the rental of this property for you to putt about the lake to enjoy it’s sights and take in the sun! You will be required to take a short course in water and boating safety provided on-site by our Boat Master.Manager’s comments: We love this home! It’s not only pretty, well furnished and appointed, but it has great views and it’s just a short drive to Chimney Rock Village and the town center area of Lake Lure. Many of our guests enjoy the garage parking and all have commented on the pretty views. This is a great home for families. There are quite a few steps to the waterfront, but once you arrive, you won’t be disappointed with the water and the views. The Master Bedroom is located on the main level and accommodates a King Bed, private bath with double vanity and a large double shower. Ample closets both walk-in and pantry style provides lots of room for swimsuits and luggage. Double patio doors open onto the deck which overlooks the lake and yard and picnic area. The pretty kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need to prepare any type of meal. The living area sits slightly below the kitchen and dining, creating a cozy retreat. A beautiful old stone fireplace is its centerpiece. A small TV and CD player are located in the living area. There is also a small side covered patio to enjoy the out of doors, a picnic table and fire pit on the grounds and a large dock for sunbathing, swimming or fishing. A canoe is provided for your enjoyment; just remember you must wear a lifejacket, and we have provided those too! Several floats and water toys are available. Remember, all the amenities of the resort are available for your use, which includes indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center, spa, private beach on Lake Lure, tennis, golf and much more. “Cottage Walk” is about a 5-minute drive from the private amenities at the resort.Sometimes the owner’s will allow well-behaved smaller dogs.
