Description:Caratelli is one of 5 apartments at Borgo Casorelle, an attractive complex of farm buildings that lies in a panoramic position dominating the hills near Vinci, the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci. The town lies in a good, central position for visiting the art cities of Florence and Pisa. Caratelli is one of the larger apartments in the complex. It comes complete with its own private garden and terrace and can easily accommodate 6 people, with its two large bedrooms, pull out couch and large eat-in kitchen. This makes it ideal for larger families, groups of friends or those that want a little extra space. Like all our apartments we have endeavoured to maintain its Tuscan heritage. We have left the beams in the ceiling exposed, the windows are shuttered using a typical Tuscan style and we laid down terra cotta tiles throughout. You enter Caratelli through the kitchen or terrace entrance. The terrace and garden face west with beautiful views of the 17th Century Villa Rospigliosi and the beautiful Tuscan landscape. Inside the appartment's main floor the living room (seating area) is complete with two couches (one with pull-out bed) and a TV. Also on the main floor is a large eat-in kitchen. The fully furnished kitchen, complete with dishwasher, comfortably seats 6 people. The main floor also has a storage area and one of the apartment's two bathrooms. The two bedrooms of I Caratelli are located on the second floor. The main bedroom is nestled in a corner of the apartment. It has a queen size poster-bed, seating area, and high ceilings. The second bedroom has two single beds. Guests have the use of a 6x12m swimming-pool. There is also a shared laundry with washing-machine, and free wireless internet connection. About 1 km away is the town of Lamporecchio with many shops, Vinci is 5 kms away, Florence 40 kms, Pisa 50 kms, and Versilia with its beautiful beaches, is 65 kms away.... more info >>

Description:This beautiful mill is situated near the village of Lamporecchio, surrounded by olive-groves in a peaceful, secluded valley. The ancient stone structure has recently been restored to its original beauty through careful renovation work. The interior is perfectly furnished and offers excellent facilities. The house has been divided into three separate units in order to offer a high level of privacy whilst allowing guests to eat together in one of the ground floor apartments with a 10 seat dining table and suitable kitchen, or using the spacious living room on the first floor. Apartment 1 is accessed directly from the courtyard. A second entrance, also in the courtyard, leads to apartments 2 and 3. nThe village of Lamporecchio (3 Km) has a variety of different stores. Vinci, the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci is just 5 Km away. The house where Leonardo was born and the museum that has been dedicated to this important figure are well worth visiting. Florence and Lucca are less than an hour away by car (respectively 50 and 45 Km). The beautiful beaches of the Tuscan coastline are also within easy reach. nWhen the apartments are booked individually, the swimming pool is shared. nThe caretaker, who looks after the outdoor areas and swimming pool, has access to the property and occasionally uses a small house located beyond the car park, around 300 meters from the main house. nApt. 1 nGROUND FLOOR: living room with satellite TV and fireplace (10 seat dining table), kitchen with freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Description:This ancient villa, whose origins date back to 1700, is situated in a splendid and panoramic hillside position on the edge of the town of Lamporecchio, a short distance (approx. 5 km) from Vinci, the town where Leonardo da Vinci, where you can visit an interesting museum dedicated to the famous scientist. In the town of Lamporecchio you will find all kinds of shops and restaurants. nThe house is spread out over three levels, the first floor is not accessible to the guests. The furniture is comfortable and elegant, made up for the most park of period pieces. The outdoor areas are very well kept and slope down towards the swimming pool (5x12m) passing through a pergola equipped with table, chairs and barbecue. nThanks to the house's central location, you can easily reach the cities of art Florence and Pisa as well as the Chianti Classico area as far as Siena.
