Description:Caratelli is one of 5 apartments at Borgo Casorelle, an attractive complex of farm buildings that lies in a panoramic position dominating the hills near Vinci, the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci. The town lies in a good, central position for visiting the art cities of Florence and Pisa. Caratelli is one of the larger apartments in the complex. It comes complete with its own private garden and terrace and can easily accommodate 6 people, with its two large bedrooms, pull out couch and large eat-in kitchen. This makes it ideal for larger families, groups of friends or those that want a little extra space. Like all our apartments we have endeavoured to maintain its Tuscan heritage. We have left the beams in the ceiling exposed, the windows are shuttered using a typical Tuscan style and we laid down terra cotta tiles throughout. You enter Caratelli through the kitchen or terrace entrance. The terrace and garden face west with beautiful views of the 17th Century Villa Rospigliosi and the beautiful Tuscan landscape. Inside the appartment's main floor the living room (seating area) is complete with two couches (one with pull-out bed) and a TV. Also on the main floor is a large eat-in kitchen. The fully furnished kitchen, complete with dishwasher, comfortably seats 6 people. The main floor also has a storage area and one of the apartment's two bathrooms. The two bedrooms of I Caratelli are located on the second floor. The main bedroom is nestled in a corner of the apartment. It has a queen size poster-bed, seating area, and high ceilings. The second bedroom has two single beds. Guests have the use of a 6x12m swimming-pool. There is also a shared laundry with washing-machine, and free wireless internet connection. About 1 km away is the town of Lamporecchio with many shops, Vinci is 5 kms away, Florence 40 kms, Pisa 50 kms, and Versilia with its beautiful beaches, is 65 kms away.... more info >>
