Description:In a quiet litle street in the center of the beautiful center of Leiden, 5 minutes by bus to the Central Station or 10 minutes by availbe (!) bicycle, is this beautifull comfortable furnsihed appartment. Just a few steps away from the river Rhine and the pitoresque canals and canalhouses of Leiden and the Plantsoen parc and much much more. Leiden is centered between all major cities like Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam and Utrecht all within 10 to 40 minutes by train or car. The national airport Schiphol is just 15 minutes away by train and car. Known for its historicall well preserved old center, famous university, museums and situated between the green heart of South Holland and the North Sea, Leiden is a nice alternative for the more crowded Amsterdam. This town is the biggest intact fortrified city of Europe and from the air or on the map thats still visible. Leiden was once home to the Pilgrim Brothers before they moved to North America where they played a major role in the foundation of the U.S.A. Leiden has also a famous botanical garden near the university ( the oldest of The Netherlands ). From Leiden it is close to De Keukenhof which is the most photographed spot on the planet!! In spring you can enjoy the beautifull variety of all sorts of tulips and other flowers. Trains to all major cities mentioned are scheduled 24/7! Lounge and open kitchen with combi stove and view on the old gardens of the canalhouses of the Herengracht. Bedroom with double bed. Bathroom with shower and washer and dryer and a seperate toilet, big screen HD TV and CD, DVD and VHS players plus a wireless internet connection. This beautiful house which is located in a safe and quiet neighborhood, is perfect for families who would like to visit Amsterdam as well as enjoy Leiden and its environment. It is situated in Leiden which is a beautiful old university town. It is known as a museum town and has canals, many museums, very nice restaurants and the beach nearby. It takes only 25 minutes to reach the centre of Amsterdam by train or by car. Of course you will find all the necessary information about how to get there and where to go to in the house. You can use the bikes (there are 4 bikes available for grown-ups) as well as other amenities: our tv, dvd's, the computer with wireless internet, our piano, the dishwasher, the washing machine and the dryer. Description:Our quiet and spacious apartment is the perfect home-base for travelers in NL. The apartment has separate office, living room/dining area, patio, full modern kitchen toilet and luxurious bathroom with a tub for 2 and double sinks! Leiden is a great home base for seeing Holland. 20min from Schiphol Airport, 35min from Amsterdam, 10min from The Hauge on the train. Description:Studio Jan van Goyen is located on a beautiful canal very close to the centre of Leiden (Jan van Goyenkade 20B, in the Vreewijk neighbourhood). The old city is on just a five minutes walk. The apartment (540 sqft) is equipped with tv/dvd, free wireless internet (wifi), kitchen and bathroom, washing machine and dishwasher. There is also a garden with shed. The very comfortable double bed can be converted into two single beds and there is a sleeping couch for a third person.
Studio Jan van Goyen is a ground floor apartment with its own entry.
Breakfast (selfservice) can be found in the refrigerator. The studio can be rented for a minimum of two nights, but is also very suitable for a longer stay so do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to rent the studio as sublet. I look forward to hearing from you! In 2012, one of our guests wrote the following in our guestbook: Whilst engaged in clinical research in Leiden I was most fortunate to find and lease the Studio van Goyen for 6 months from October 2011 to April 2012. I can say with absolute honesty that, in all of my working travels it has been the best home I have ever experienced! The Studio is within easy walking distance of traditional shops and a supermarket (open all Sunday). Aside from it's beautiful canal-side setting in the student part of town the Studio is modern, exceptionally clean (thank you for the thorough job you do and the flowers you leave there) and the kitchen and entertainment system are well equipped (free internet). The long single room adjoins an immaculate shower room and the rear door to the garden gives peaceful access to the shed freezer. Add to all this the kind concerns expressed by Trees Koenders in sorting any problems and I cannot think of a more worthwhile package!!
