Glyndley Manor Cottages is a detached lodge in the grounds of Glyndley Manor, set in 17 acres of woodland and fields, 3.5 miles from the hamlet of Stone Cross, close to the villages of Polegate and Pevensey and the towns of Eastbourne and Battle in Sussex. All ground floor, this cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms, consisting of one double and one twin, as well as a bathroom. The cottage also has an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside there is a front patio with furniture and shared grounds with fishing lake and full size swimming pool. Ideal for families or friends, Glyndley Manor Cottages is in an excellent location for exploring the Sussex countryside and coast. n nAmenities: LPG central heating. The Byre is a detached, converted farm building set within 80 acres of land, one mile from the village of Smeeth in Kent. This cottage sleeps four people and has one king-size double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The cottage also has an open plan living area with kitchen, breakfast bar, dining area and sitting area with sofa bed. Outside there is an enclosed, lawned garden with patio, furniture and barbecue, along with shared use of the owners' swimming pool, fields, woods and fishing lake. The cottage also offers many facilities for guests to enjoy by prior arrangement with the owner. Description:Beautiful thatched riverside cottage, named the 'Old Wharf Cottage' as once barges unloaded cargo of copper at the wharf, now the site of the outdoor heated swimming pool. A lovely circular layout adds to the 'flow' of the house where living rooms inter connect with the Arts and Craft style kitchen which has a gas fired Aga, electric cooker and adjoining dining area. Three new state of the art bathrooms have been installed with walk-in showers and large bath. Two are en-suite. It was originally built in 1903 in the Edwardian Era. The Arts and Crafts Movement between 1880 and 1910 influenced the owners many of them artists and sculptors themselves, and later arts and craft features were added including ornate plaster work around the bedroom cornice's,a coat of arms as you climb the oak staircase with carving depicted by aged red and green paints, much used by the Arts and Craft Movement-inspired by medieval colour and image seen in the works of the artist/designer William Morris. 3 Bathrooms (2 ensuite, 1 good sized family bathroom with deep bath) all with new state of the art walk-in rainforest showers. 5 Bedrooms: 3 double, 1 twin (with ensuite bathroom), 1 smaller twin room - ideal for children sharing Notes: Sky Freeview and Broadband wifi available. Description:This is a large well appointed 3 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms (1 en-suite)upstairs with 2 of the bedrooms overlooking the garden and beyond onto the Heath and the 3rd has a bay window that overlooks the very leafy Tanza Rd. Two of the bedrooms have their own working open fire places. Downstairs there is a large open plan lounge, kitchen and dining conservatory area. The comprehensive kitchen includes a double oven, indoor BBQ, grill and steamer. The lounge area also has a functioning open fireplace. There is a dishwasher in the kitchen, and a washing machine and dryer in a separate laundry room. All tiled floors (bathrooms and conservatory) have underfloor heating and there is also a guest toilet down stairs. The property has a large private flower garden with its' own gated access onto Hampstead Heath. The garden gets the sun for most of the day and can also be enjoyed from inside the conservatory. There is a lawn and 2 separate patio area's in the garden and plenty of outdoor furniture. Entrance to the apartment is via a separate side entrance to this large Victorian semi detached house. This is a truly spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment with 3 open fireplaces, flat screen HDTV's in all rooms and broadband wireless connection, a fabulous modern kitchen and its own private garden whose gate opens onto Hampstead Heath (hundreds of acres of parkland 20 min from central London). The Heath's facilities include swimming and fishing ponds, a large swimming pool, tennis courts, children's' playground and miles of beautiful walks. In summer you can enjoy open air concerts in the grounds of Kenwood House, originally a Rothchild stately home just a short walk across the Heath. Hampstead is famous for artists writers and poets probably the most notable of whom was Keats whose home is a nearby tourist attraction. Our nearest pub, The Magdalar, is famous for being where the last women to be hanged for murder shot her man. They boast good inexpensive food and are nice and friendly. Within a 5 min walk are French, Italian and Indian restaurants, bakery shops super market and public transportation: Bus, Underground and Overground Railway Stations.
