Description:The small fishing village of Maslinica is virtually part of the decoration of the 300 year old castle with its 5000m2 garden. The castle was originally built by the Martinis brothers in the early 18th century to help protect the Split mainland and islands from pirate attacks as well as to develop a community to work the land. It has now been returned to its former glory after a massive investment of time and money by its relatively new owners and under the watchful guidance of local Croatian heritage architects and advisors. The property has a beautiful outdoor heated swimming pool, a sauna and hammam with a resting area. Inside the castle there is a equipped kitchen and a spacious living area leading to the swimming pool and the terrace.
