High speed wireless internet, conveinent parking. This century old house was in decline when we bought it 22 years ago. We have resurrected the splendor of the structure reclaiming original trim wood and flooring that was fashioned with virgin timber from this region in the Blue Ridge mountains. My husband, Tom, has done most of the renovation himself, incorporating his artistic flair and unusual floor plan designs. We have created private and common spaces in this roomy house. You will have options whether to spend time with other travelers or be on your own. We will most likely meet you during your stay as we come and go as needed and will be available by phone. Victoria has a working studio in the house that is independent of the rental spaces. She may be open for business during your stay if you would like to see her jewelry and Tom’s books, both of which would make great mementos of your stay here. Simply walk out the door, down the hill and experience Marshall, a truly unique mountain town. If you enjoy great coffee, food, live music, beer and wine, old-timey dry goods and hardware stores, beautiful local art ,imports from around the world, cool bicycles, awesome junk, seasonal weekly farmer's market, artist's studios and interesting special events- it's just a 5 minute walk! Description:This luxury log home is perched overlooking the French Broad River with panoramic views of Mt. Mitchell oin one side and Mt. Pisgah on the other. This Asheville vacation property was built in 2008 and is about half hour north of Asheville. It 's the perfect get away from it all destination, yet it 's only 6 miles from a full service grocery store and Marshall, the county seat. The cabin is around 4500 sq ft and has 3 floors and views from each side. It sits on 23 acres with a path down to the river, where you can fish or wade or just relax. There are 4 fireplaces (2 wood, 2 gas), 2 large screet tv 's plus tv 's in most bedrooms. The home has a recreation room on the bottom floor with a pool table and bar area, plus 2 bedrooms (one king w/own bath, the other w/bunk bed and 2 twins), plus another full bath and washer/dryer. The main floor has the kitchen, laundry, great room w/stone fireplace, master bath w/jacuzzi and shower, sunroom w/fireplace and the main deck w/2 tables, chairs and the 7 person hot tub.
