Description:The house is a modern and fresh house that dates from 1904 and renovated with old details left. It has modern fireplace, modern fully equiped kitchen with all you need, a small garden, a two persons bed, two toilets (one on the ground floor and one in the bathroom), a bathroom with bath and toilet, a study and a wine cellar. The first floor and ground floor has been completely renovated in 2007. Naarden Vesting is a monumental and historic vesting village near Amsterdam (15 min. drive) which is surrounded in with water to protect the village in ancient times. It is an unique place in the Netherlands for culture an near the Gooi lake as a nature monument where you can sail, kitesurf (Gooi meer), play golf (Naarder golfclub), biking or just for making nice walks. It is also the homebase of one of Hollands' most famous Dutch interior Designers Jan des Bouvrie with the historic Arsenaal to expose and sell his work. It has it all: museums, a fort, many restaurants (from modern, top, to simple and classic), design, shops and a lovely saturday market. And on one hand a small village surrounded by nature.. That is probably why it has been rated as one of the best places to live in in The Netherlands. For more information: @ Saturdays there is a market with fresh fish, delicious nuts, flowers and Dutch English pies which we would recommend! There is a Coffee company at 5 min. walk which is lovely and relaxing.. On a sunny day you can sit on the terrace main street of the village. It is free and easy to park a car. The nearest trainstation is 15 min. walk. Amsterdam is a 20 min drive with car or train. Description:If you’re looking for an affordable alternative to the expensive hotel prices in Amsterdam or are looking for short stay family accomodation, this is the perfect house for you. The house is an ideal base for exploring Amsterdam and surrounding areas and accommodates a family of 4 or 5 easily. The house has been recently renovated, tastefully decorated and equipped with modern appliances. It is located in Naarden, a charming, historic, fortress village, shaped like a 6-point star. The house has a newly renovated, modern, open kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and “American” refrigerator. The dining area and living room are spacious and open up to the garden, a perfect spot for enjoying the late summer evenings. There are two bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom with a separate shower and a tub. You also have access to a washer and dryer. There are two other rooms that are locked and unavailable. The house is comfortably furnished and includes: - cable tv, dvd, stereo - sofa, reclining chair and dining table for 6-8 persons - two bedrooms - one with a double bed and one with a double bed and single bunk bed - free wireless internet access - full kitchen including dishwasher, microwave, large refrigerator, large oven - washing machine and dryer - and bicycles upon request! The house is close to Amsterdam (20 km), Hilversum (10 km), Utrecht (30 km), Schiphol Airport (30 km), all easily accessible by train from the Naarden-Bussum train station, which is a 15-minute walk or 5 minute bike ride. Trains leave to Amsterdam, Utrecht, Hilversum and Schiphol every 15 minutes. The house is also conveniently located close to highway A1 and there is plenty of free parking in front of the house. The central location and access to main highways makes it an ideal starting point to almost every destination in the Netherlands. The charming center of Naarden Vesting has excellent restaurants and is a 10-minute walk or (less than) 5 minute bike ride from the house. Naarden also has wonderful access to beautiful cycling and hiking trails through some of the most beautiful nature areas close to Amsterdam and is a great area for outdoor sports. There is a beach on the lake, 5 minutes from the house and the immediate area offers sailing, tennis, golf, soccer, sport club, and a swimming pool all within very close proximity.
