Description:Rental is from Saturday at 3PM until the next Saturday at 10AM. This lovely, two bedroom cottage sits on a quiet side street just a short walk from the center of town and the ocean. This in town location provides an easy walk to the Town Library, Union Church, Main Street, Medical Center, beautiful Lane’s Island beach preserve with walking trails, and the working waterfront. At the cottage enjoy the sunny open deck or shady covered porch, spacious kitchen, and comfortable living room. Fully furnished, Sleeps 4, 2 Bedrooms with linens (1st bedroom - queen size bed, 2nd bedroom - full size futon), 1 bath with towels, washer/dryer, iron & ironing board, dining table seats 6, outdoor gas grill, electric stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and other basics needed for cooking all your meals. Also available while using the cottage: a TV/VCR/DVD, movies, wireless internet, books, radio with CD player, piano, and lots of family favorite games :-) Available within walking distance from the cottage, you will find a variety of restaurants, 10 at the latest count. All are either on the Main Street or a side street just off of Main. Fine Dining, Casual, Takeout, Grocery Store, Wine Store, and many other shops and galleries. VERY IMPORTANT: The island is accessed by the Maine State Ferry Service, which provides six ferries running round trip each day. Description:Bright, 1100 square foot, one bedroom/one bath apartment for rent on the first block of Belmont Street. Very near the corner of Belmont and Maine--directly across the street from Bowdoin College, and you can see Cole's tower above the treeline. It is one half of a mile to the door way of Searles Science Center, and one mile from Fort Andross. Apartment is fully furnished, washer and dryer included, with claw foot tub and separate shower up stairs. Very large bedroom with a queen sized bed is also on the second floor. House comes with one dedicated off street parking space--as well as additional parking on site. Huge bay window in the living room, facing NE so it gets a lot of sunlight. There is a covered porch for bicycles. There are laminate floors, hardwoods, and tile throughout. Carpet over some of the floors. You also have access to a double thick, queen sized air mattress with zip on memory foam cover for additional sleeping space, plus a very large couch. Description:Built in the early 1900s, long before required 75 foot setbacks were in place, Willow ledge was erected at the water's edge. It rest on Little Deer Isle, and along the prime shoreline of Penobscot Bay, with views over a variety of islands and passing seafaring vessels. Ocean breezes guide waves to the mix of rocky and sandy shorefront adjacent to the cottage, while acres and acres of surrounding forest gently sway and shelter this secluded getaway.The interior of the cottage is little changed - with the exception of updates to the kitchen, bath, and the addition of a two bedroom bunk house (adding to the 3 bedrooms already present upstairs). Step back in time with the rustic nature and simplicity of this home. Wooden walls, ceilings and floors exude warmth and coziness. The open living area gathers around a massive brick fireplace, with built-ins, window seat, and bookshelves (filled with books) adding charm. When cool, enjoy the warmth of a crackling fire to relieve the morning chill, or on warm days, open any or all of the 3 french doors - each facing a different direction and ensuring excellent cross breezes. Relax on the covered porch, stretching along the entire exterior of the waterfront side of the home - complete with lounge chairs and large table for outside dining. The interior dining area affords views of the bay and open woodland, as does the simple but efficient kitchen.Upstairs there are three simple bedrooms--a master bedroom with new queen bed to one side of the stairway, and two bedrooms to the other side (2 twin beds in one bedroom, and 1 twin in smaller single bedroom). The stairway and a small hallway provide for a bit of privacy between the master and two remaining bedrooms. The small bath downstairs includes tub and shower. The bunk house is located just a few steps from the back door of the property, so is easily accessed day and night - and has a main room with queen bed, and adjoining bedroom with two twin beds.
