Description:Adorned with a dramatic cranberry colored Waverly wallpaper, maple hardwood floors, and furnished with a queen four poster bed, this charming guest room has a cozy gas fireplace and flat panel HDTV/DVD. Beautiful French doors lead to an expansive private deck with Victorian bistro set, market umbrella and two big, comfortable rocking chairs. This delightful room also offers a private entry and private bathroom with tub and shower. Though the Garden Room is our smallest guest room, it is our most requested, as wide French doors leading to the deck render it open and airy. 1st floor. Additional Charges: Most rooms are quoted at double occupancy rates, and extra person charges are $35.00 per night per person regardless of age. Rates quoted for Cottages 6, 10, and 11 are for four persons. The rate for 9 is for three persons. We are a family friendly vacation destination and have cribs available for a one time set up fee of $10. Cribs may be used only in cottages 4, 5, 6, and 8 11. Sofa beds can be set up for a $15 service and linens fee. We have limited booster seats/high chairs available, so please request upon booking. You will be held responsible for any damages to our property beyond those incurred with normal use. If smoking is suspected, you will be charged $250 for the cleaning of all upholstery, carpeting, and draperies. Description:This Coastal Chalet Home is 5 years old and has all the amenities you will need. It has a loft with a queen bed which looks over the great room / kitchen. The master bedroom has a queen bed and has a private entrance that goes out to a wood fired sauna and the woods. The other bedroom has a full size bed and overlooks the back 4 acres. The great room / kitchen has a full island where everyone can gather and a full kitchen to use: 5 burner gas stove, microwave, fridge-freezer combo with ice maker and many other appliances. The great room comes equipped with ps3 / dvd player, dish network, 40 flat screen tv and wireless internet throughout. Outside you can enjoy a deck with patio table, umbrella and a Weber gas fired grill. Soon to come is another deck out back off the master bedroom with outside shower (complete by June). The bathroom has a separate shower (two shower heads) and tub (extra 2 depth). Outside you can enjoy a wood fired sauna (dry only), 4 acres to wander on, organic gardens, lawn space, and peaceful birds singing. The driveway is large so if you are traveling with a boat there is plenty of space to park and pull in. The house is located 7 miles (15 minutes' drive) from Blue Hill where you will find everything from fine dining restaurants to bar and grill settings, art galleries, cute shops and stores, and about an hour's drive from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. What's great about this location is you are only about 2 miles from the public boat launch that leads you directly to Eggemoggin Reach where you can kayak, boat, swim or just wander along the beaches. Within a twelve mile radius there are tons of spectacular views and places to discover. Other small surrounding towns Deer Isle, Stonington, Brooklin, Cape Rosier (Holbrook Island Sanctuary), Brooksville, Sargentville and Castine. The house is perched atop a daylight basement where I have a small bakery business. The plus is everyday I bake, Wed-Sat there will be fresh baked goodies delivered in the morning for you to enjoy. Description:If you are looking to escape the crowds and experience the best that Acadia National Park has to offer, come visit the Island! The Isle au Haut section of Acadia National Park lays at the front door of this little cottage, which itself is ideally located just a short walk from the village of Isle au Haut. The cottage sleeps four, but a small lawn directly off of the deck is perfect for easy camping to allow for a tent and a couple of extra people. Rates: Spring/Early Summer (thru end of June): $525/week or $85/night (two night min) Mid-Summer (Jul 1- Sep 1): $950/week or $150/night (three night min) Late Summer/Fall (Sep 1- Oct 31): $525/week or $85/night (two night min) There is an additional 7% for Maine Lodging tax, and a $200 security deposit. These two items can be taken care of along with a rental agreement directly with the owner. The island is truly remote: once nighttime falls the clarity of the stars is unforgettable. The island is crisscrossed with hiking trails. A hike from the cottage to Duck Harbor and onto the incredible Cliff Trail is perhaps the most strenuous, but well worth the effort. Or go easy on yourself and hang out on the sunny deck in the morning and move onto the shady side for the afternoon. Walk up to the lighthouse to catch the sunset over the Camden Hills in the evening. After arriving to the island on the mailboat from Stonington (you leave your car parked there-this is perhaps what keeps the island so unique), take the bikes back into town to hit the store and get acquainted with the town. Walk next door to Black Dinah Chocolatiers and sample their other-worldly creations at their wi-fi cafe. Explore around the house there are blueberries galore, bogs and meadows. There is an excellent trail map available from the National Park Service online or available at the Ranger Station, just a few minutes walk from the cottage. Go to the town landing to fish for mackerel and watch the lobster boats. Bike around the island and swim at the freshwater pond. The cottage is small with an open feeling. The furnishings are simple but comfortable, the kitchen is equipped and pleasant, and the bathroom is clean and cute. A spiral staircase winds up to the sleeping quarters, which contains two full size futons, one normally set up as a bed. Back downstairs, a retro couch pulls into another full sized bed. There is Rinnai heater to keep things snug on chilly nights. And there is WIFI intenet access-but bring your own electronic devices. There is a cd player/radio. A large deck, meadow and woods surround the house, with the island’s loop road providing occasional passersby and entertainment, mostly hikers and trucks filled with kids and dogs.
