Description:Furnished, cozy 3 bdrm house (2 doubles, 1 w/ twins), knotty pine paneled, screened porch with seating and picnic table, 1 1/2 baths, w/d, dishwasher, wood stove and oil furnace. Only ten minutes from Rockland, but very private- a long, wooded driveway leads to my beautiful, panoramic meadow setting bordering a tidal cove, and only a short walk to a nearby quiet, broad sand beach. Description:Harcliff is a large (6 bedroom) summer home located at the end of a quiet town road where local lobster fishermen can be seen hauling their traps. The large front and back lawns allow room for family activities.It is not however suitable for very large groups or weddings. A long pier and rowboat give access to the ocean. The tide is quite dramatic (9 ft ) but the cove is suitable for mooring your own boat. The nearest neighbor is over 100 yards away barely visible through the trees. Walking in the opposite direction through the woods and you are on the state beach. The house has two living units, which allows the Atkinson's to vacation there on occasion. The rental unit is the left side of the building and the downstairs features a kitchen, dining & living rooms, bath with shower and two bedrooms. A large deck off the dining room is great for social gatherings. Rooms on the second floor are a bath with tub and double vanity, three bedrooms, two of which face the ocean. SHEETS AND TOWELS NOT PROVIDED. There is also a large unfinished room with three bunkbeds and a sitting area, great for kids. The kitchen is fully equiped and includes a lobster cooker for outdoor use. Let nature be your entertainment as there is no TV. See the best of the true Maine experience and explore the islands, harbors, and natural sights.
