Description:The flat is located in an exotic bohemian neighborhood by Montmartre, a truly authentic multicultural parisian experience. The 18 th arrondissement is well known for the Hill of Montmartre and it s narrow streets, the famous cabaret of the moulin rouge is also located in this arrondissement and the city's red light district lies on the border between here and Opera. Come and enjoy one of Paris most vibrant neighborhood between the touristy side of the hill on the south side and the more residential and bohemian side on the north. Shop for african produce at the barbès market, relax in the park on the hill. The Apartment: It's a confortable offering, well suited for couples. You'll certainly enjoy relawing with the 4 position rain shower :-) . The flat has been entirely remodeled last year by myself who as an architect is used to consider the confort and functionality aspect beyond everything. It Is Brand New! The Building: Is a traditional Parisian building built the early xx th century. The Neighborhood: The nearest metro station is Château Rouge, which is 100 meters away, with which you can get to the heart of the french capital in just a few minutes, allowing you to visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Marais neighborhood, the Latin Quarter, and the Tuileries Garden. The station is named after the Red Castle Square, named for a handsome residence of red bricks built nearby in 1760 and demolished in 1875. The Gare du Nord, one of the city's main train station and the departure point of the Eurostar to London, is just two metro stations away. The Goutte d'Or district nearby has many Inhabitants of African origin and the Rue Dejean street market operates every day except Monday. Description:Friendly artist couple is renting out their apartment for holidays. ABOUT OUR APARTMENT Our 40m2 (430ft2) one-bedroom apartment is located just around the corner from the Arc de Triomphe and the Avenue des Champs-Élysées. It's on the second floor of a building that opens to a sunny and quiet courtyard the building has two digital code locks and a live-in caretaker (gardienne). The apartment is very luminous (a window in every room), very well kept, minimally decorated and keeps pleasantly cool during hot summer periods. It has two separate rooms (bedroom and living room), entry hall, separate kitchen, bathroom and toilets. NICE NEIGHBORHOOD AND GREAT ACCESS The apartment is located in one of the cleanest and safest neighborhoods in Paris (i.e. lower 17th and 16th arrondissements) beside all the basic stores (several supermarket chains, grocery stores, pharmacies, bakeries, cafés and restaurants) there's a regular fruit market and street antiques market within 5-minute walking distance. The neighborhood is very well connected to every part of Paris. The apartment is at three-minute walk from the Charles de Gaulle Étoile metro station (under the Arc de Triomphe) where the 1st, 2nd and 6th metro lines (and RER) meet. The first line takes you to the center of Paris (The Louvre, Centre Pompidou, Marais) in 10 minutes and the second line to Montmartre district (Sacré Coeur, Moulin Rouge) in about the same time. Our place is perfect for a couple who appreciates quiet and luminous apartment with discreet interior design and who doesn’t want to spend excessive time in public transport when going sightseeing. The apartment can accommodate up to four people, but the other two would be invited to camp on the living room floor (we will provide a double air bed). AMENITIES The offer includes high speed 100Mbit WiFi, basic kitchen appliances (electric stove, refrigerator, blender, water heater, cooking utensils, dishes etc.), bed sheets, towels, cupboard with reserved drawer space. Only 10 minutes with 5 direct metro stop to “les grands magasins: Le Printemps et les Galeries Lafayette” Close to taxi station (600M) you can get easily by walking or calling them by phone. This location is very convenient for both tourism and work stay. LA DEFENSE is 20 minutes by bus and metro RER or walking to “Arc deTriomphe” and then RER. You have two double bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, a salon/living room with a sofa, an entrance hall with separate WC, fully equipped kitchen and a large dining room. Contact me for more information *** The doorway you walk through, a stately double door, takes you to a foyer where a beautiful marble table sits with a mirror hung over it. The WC, kitchen, salon and dining/sitting room are all off of this hallway. Upon entering the kitchen, you'll see a doorway leading to the dining table which seats 6- very convenient when preparing dinner with your groceries purchased at one of the neighbourhood markets. The closest one, on rue Cadet, is open in the evenings. Additionally, rue des Martyrs is only about a 7 minute walk away and has an abundant selection of food stores. The square by metro Anvers, a few minutes away has started a Friday evening marche as well. If you choose to visit this one, you have a lovely view on Sacre Coeur as you walk toward the square. The owners, by the way, are chefs so they have equipped the kitchen with all you could need: blender, food processor, toasted sandwich maker, cocotte, pots and pans, etc. In the same room as the dining table (see photo at top the top of this page), there is a classic love seat covered in vintage tapestry with decorative cushions. It faces a large wardrobe which houses all of the linens you would need for your stay. In front of the window in this room is marble table with two chairs where you can enjoy an early morning cafe or evening nightcap. There is also a television with DVD player in this room plus a stereo with a CD player. Access to both bedrooms are through separate doors in the salon. The master bedroom, shown on the right, has a beautiful antique bed frame with head and foot boards all accented in blue. In the corner of the room, a mirrored vanity table allows space for you to put your everyday affairs or some wonderful French perfume you may have purchased. The ensuite in this bedroom has a toilet, sink and a bathtub with shower. The guest bedroom has a closet (door to the right of the secretary/chest of drawers) which houses a combination washer/drier. Again, meticulous attention has been paid to the details: bed cover with matching pillows and window covering accented in red.
