Description:In a classified building, our apartment is located Rue du Temple, in 4th arrondissement and few steps from the Beaubourg Contemporary Art Center. On 3rd floor walk up of a charming and original building with digicode, the staircase is accessible from a store which is on the ground floor. Ideal for a couple, it can welcome up to 3 guests. The living-room, with a modern design, is extremely bright and faces the Rue du Temple. It is furnished with an adjustable coffee table, a sofa-bed (sleeps 1), a chest of drawers, 2 armchairs, 3 stools. You will also have at your disposal a flat screen television, (Digital Terrestrial TV), a DVD player, a Hifi system and an Internet connection (ADSL and wifi). From the living-room, you'll enjoy a small area with an exceptional view on the Pompidou Centre. You can use it as an office, you will find a bar/desk, a CD shelf and 2 stools. The kitchen, open on the living-room, is fully equipped with 4 vitroceramic plates, a fridge, an oven, a micro-waves, a dishwasher, a kettle, a programmable coffee maker, a toaster, and all the dishes and utensils necessary to cook at home. Your bedroom (with wooden floor) is separated from the corridor leading you to the living-room with sliding doors (like Venetian blinds). It is composed with a Queen Size bed (160*200), a bedside table, and a wardrobe. The bathroom (facing the Ste Croix de la Bretonnerie) is fitted with a shower, a washbowl with a mirror, a heated towel rail, a hairdryer, and the toilets. (Linoleum flooring). They have taken much care to provide some lucky guests with beautifully designed spaces with all the amenities you could desire, and in a very desirable area of central Paris. The high-end Ile St. Louis area is right behind Notre Dame Cathedral and is ideally and best positioned to provide easy and instant access to so many attractions and conveniences. Easy to locate on any map, Ile St Louis is one of the two small islands right in the heart of Paris. Several bridges connect you to either the Right or Left banks of the Seine, so that you are just a few minutes stroll to such famed places like St. Michel, Hotel de Ville and Chatelet, St. Germain and the Latin Quarter and of course the other island itself- Il de la Cite, (where you will find Notre Dame Cathedral, St. Chapelle Church, etc.) Just outside your door are many small cafes. Crepe stands and restaurants to choose from, plus specialty shopping and all food provisions like bakeries, cheese shops and fresh grocers (if you care to avail yourself of the apartments' splendid kitchen) and of course the most famous ice cream shops in France (maybe in Europe!)- The Berthillon stores. This home has been beautiful decorated as the photographs here will confirm, it is located on a small quiet side street just off of the Seine River itself. As so much of this island's traffic is mostly pedestrian, you can be assured of a relaxing and tranquil stay in this quiet setting. It also has a great advantage of having lots of sunlight flood into the apartments, as the street is not so narrow as most others in this area. The flat is 50 sq meters (approximately 530 sq ft). It is located on the second European floor. Access to the apartment is via the common stairwell of the building, no elevator. The building itself is very handsome and dates back to the 19th century, as this is amongst the oldest areas of Paris (the city was actually founded on these islands which offered protection from any invading tribes due to the surrounding river). There is excellent security for the building (although most of Paris is very safe). The property owner has spent several years personally overseeing the renovations, highlighted with designer touches throughout, she carefully included many modern amenities as well, to ensure first class comfort and style. The apartment has the following features: •Queen size bed in the master bedroom •The second bedroom (which separates from the rest of the apartment by a sliding door) has a wooden trundle type bed that makes two single sized beds. In this trundle unit, one twin is stored underneath the other and can be rolled out from the higher one and then placed anywhere in the room. The roll out is lower to the ground than the higher one (see photo). •Full kitchen (see below for details) •Full bathroom with separate WC in a different room •Dining table next to the open kitchen BEDROOMS: Queen size bed in the master bedroom, which sleeps two adults. In the second bedroom, which during the day is open to the living room for more space, there is also a trundle unit composed of 2 individual twin size beds (one stored under the other during the day), which can easily be pulled out and may be rolled around with ease. These can be pushed close together, but do not actually form a single bed as one is lower than the other. The sofa bed in the living room is a sleeper sofa for two people. The master bedroom has a closet, including room for hanging clothes. KITCHEN: The kitchen has a full oven and stove and separate microwave. There is also a dishwasher. There is plenty of counter space with built-in appliances and color-coordinated designs throughout. It's really perfect to go everywhere in Paris, even by feet, you're so close to lots of monuments or museums...Champs-Elysées, Opéra, Grands magasins, Palais Royal, Tuileries gardens, Le Louvre.... There is also a convertible sofa in the living-room. The bed and the sofa, when converted to bed, are both 140x190 cm. You will have access to our washing machine/dryer, as well as our 24-inch iMac which provides unlimited Internet access via Wifi and allows to watch movies from the living room's sofa. The area is very nice, the building very clean and safe (two digicodes, dedicated caretaker who lives here). The building is built around an inner courtyard.
