The bathroom has recently been renovated. One of Them HAS access to the terrace and a perfect view of the Sacred Heart. You'll be close (5 min) from the subway (4 & 12, that 'allow you to travel to the South of Paris very Easily) and the bus lines 95 & 60 are right in front of the building. If you need food, and I'm sure you Will, There Are Two Which supermarkets are very close to the bulding (like 100 meters). Now You Can walk to Montmartre and eat there! The apartment IS very well equipped (oven, microwave, Nespresso machine, tv, computer, dishes, washing machine etc.).. Some attractions are organized for kids on the water. Adults can play pétanque, dancing and have a drink around the water. And we have the luck that one part of this event is spending 300m from the flat. paris-plages.fr/en.html Parc de la Villette is very closed also. In august, an outside cinema is organized where you could see lot of good films in original version at the sunset. Some concerts every sunday afternoon for free. It's an ideal place for a picnic on the grass. villette.com You can take the boat for sightseeing tour at Bassin de la Villette (200m from the flat) till Bastille, through the Canal St Martin (booking one week at least before). Description:We rent our lovely apartment in Paris, very well located in the 9th arrondissement, from April the 1st to the 22nd of 2012. The area is perfect to discover our beautiful city as it's very central : 10 minutes walk to the department stores & Opéra, 15 minutes walk to the Louvre, 15 minutes to Montmartre, 15 minutes to République and so on... You've got everything you need around, including metro, buses & Velib' (bikes to rent), there are supermarkets all over and even a little market street called rue Cadet. The apartment is situated in a nice typical parisian flat, second floor on a calm & sunny yard. The flat is super secure : you have to have a key to get in at night - no code or whatsoever. It's the perfect place for a couple as it's only has one room with a real & comfy bed - but if you can host one more person who would sleep on the couch (and another two persons if we take the secret mattress out...). It's a real hausmannian apartment, the rooms are linked - old school style but very big (110m2). There's a entry hall with a small office (DVDs, printer & such are available), a beautiful room with a double bed, a 43m2 large living-room (TV/cable, cool couch & seat, great books, sound system to plug to your computer to, dining area), a big dressing room, a lovely bathroom with bathtub and toilets and, finally, a great kitchen to cook in (including fridge, oven & gas fires, machines to do the dishes, wash your clothes, dry your clothes, make expressos, mix cake batters, blend cocktails, microwave popcorn, etc...). You've got free wi-fi of course... Our windows are brand new and when closed, you don't hear a sound from outside. There is aromatic plants and flowers on every window - it's our countryside..! We are non-smokers so we'd rather rent the place to non-smokers but if you do smoke, we can deal with it - we count on you to freshen the air and smoke nearby the windows as much as possible. We'll leave clean towels & sheets and a cleaning person will come every week. We'll also leave a big fan for the hot summer days... It's very nicely furnished with both design & vintage, we're proud to say that there's a real warm feeling to our place and that people really enjoy to stay here. The sleeping room has a large window an equally large bed 160x210 cm, a large closet with mirrored door, another library and another 97 cm TV on the Internet. The large closed bathroom is separated. It also has a large window, a luxurious glass shower, a towel drier ... We provide all linen, towels and bath towels, dish soap, shower gel, etc. The flat offers optimal comfort for a couple. In short a small apartment that I have arranged to be convenient and comfortable in an environment that attracts more and more of bohemian Paris. The Marais and the Bastille, you know, it's already a bit overwhelmed. So follow the pioneers of hipness in our Tribeca, the Triangle, Oberkampf, Pere Lachaise, rue Saint-Maur, east of the Republic. Here you will find acres of greenery at the Pere Lachaise cemetery and in public parks of la Roquette, former industrial sites as 37 bis rue de Montreui, endless workers housing. You will experience the last Parisians with their usual accessories like dog, baguette and cigarette on sidewalk cafes .. Description:In Paris' 5th arrondissement, just a few minutes away from Mouffetard Street and the Plants Garden (Jardin des Plantes), enjoy the comfort of our 50 square meter one-bedroom flat, recently redone (2011) in a modern and tasteful style. Everything is new and clean. The flat is located on the 5th floor (which would be the equivalent of a 6th floor in the US) of a nice 1905 building please, note that there is no elevator. The flat is luminous and has an open outlook on covered tennis courts. It is very calm (top floor). The apartment consists of a spacious dining room with open and equiped kitchen (oven, dishwasher, large dining table), a living-room, a double-bed bedroom, and a small bathroom (with italian shower and toilets). There is also a convertible sofa in the living-room. The bed and the sofa, when converted to bed, are both 140x190 cm. You will have access to our washing machine/dryer, as well as our 24-inch iMac which provides unlimited Internet access via Wifi and allows to watch movies from the living room's sofa. The area is very nice, the building very clean and safe (two digicodes, dedicated caretaker who lives here). The building is built around an inner courtyard. You can find all commodities nearby (banks, postoffice, as well as several small supermarkets opened late at night, etc.). You will be 2 minutes away from the Plants Garden (Jardin des Plantes) by foot and less than a 10-minute walk from Mouffetard Street. Paris' Mosque, its hammam, and its lovely teahouse, are very close. Metro lines 5 (Saint Marcel) and 7 (Gobelins) are close by, as well as buses 91 and 67, a taxi station and a Velib' station, so it will be really easy to get around. Le Marais is reachable within 15 minutes in metro (metro line 7 is direct to Pont Marie), Saint Martin Canal within 20 minutes (metro line 5 is direct to Stalingrad station), the Republique square within 20 minutes also (metro line 5 is direct), La Bastille within 15 minutes (metro line 5 and bus 91 are direct). There are numerous typically French food shops, cafés and restaurants around and we will give you all of our inside information to help you find our neighbourhood's best café, best bread, best cheeses, best restaurants, etc. Mouffetard Street, which is a turistic must see, is quite famous for its colourful shops and stores, it also has several pubs if you wish to go out at night.
