A picturesque herd of Limousine cattle grazes in the pastures, and deer sometimes wander through the grounds. Other buildings on the estate include a 16th-century Protestant temple, glacic3a8re, spring house, Orangerie, farm buildings, stables, and commons. n nLower level: This level has a billiards room with a fireplace and a billiard table. Theree28099s also a ping pong room. nGround floor: The property is entered via a hall thate28099s meticulously painted in trompe le28099oeil. There are three main areas: the West and East wings and the Main block. A private area in the West Wing contains the offices of the staff and a chapel. In the West Wing, theree28099s a family dining room with a working fireplace, seating 10-12 at its mahogany table. The kitchen is equipped with new Siemens appliances (2 ovens, 2 refrigerators, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and plate-warmer) and granite countertops. In the East Wing, the Salle de Jeux salon is decorated with small tables, silk-upholstered armchairs, and other antique furniture, and has double doors opening onto the terrace. The grand salon has elaborate 18th-century plaster thate28099s listed on Francee28099s national historic register, as well as sofas and armchairs, a grand piano, a fireplace, and a chandelier. The library has a leather sofa and chairs, an antique roll-top desk, a fireplace, and a 19th-century collection of books. Attached to the library are the Reading Room and Fumoire2809d, quiet working and sitting rooms. The reading room is furnished with a desk and chair, comfortable armchairs, and floor lamp. The fumoire28099s unique star-patterned parquet is listed on the national register. Theree28099s one bedroom on this floor, a suite with a standard double bed (140 cm, comfortable for one, cozy for two) and an en suite bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. The third, fourth, fifth, and sixth, seventh, and eighth bedrooms have narrow twin beds (80 cm) best suited for a young person that can be arranged to form one queen size bed upon prior request. The ninth and tenth bedrooms have a queen size bed (160 cm) and a decorative fireplace. The eleventh and twelfth bedrooms have narrow single beds best suited for a young person (80 cm) that can be joined together upon prior request. nSecond floor: nThe second floor has three bedrooms with narrow single beds (80 cm) and nine bedrooms with narrow twin best (80 cm) best suited for young persons, as well as a single room with a standard double bed (140 cm, comfortable for one, cozy for two). The first floor bedrooms have more elegant furnishings and are preferable. n nThis chateau is located in rural France on the border of the regions of Ile-de-France and Normandy, a traditionally agricultural area that is rich with natural beauty. The villa is within walking distance of Courtomer, a small village with two boulangeries (one with a wood-fired brick oven), a wine cave where you can buy local calvados and cider, for which Normandy is famous, an excellent butcher and charcuterie, a pharmacy, a convenience store, a bank, and a bar.
