Everything is 5 min walking distance from the flat. You will love the situation. contrary to certain comments, the area is very safe and nice day and night, and yes there is 1 or 2 sexshops near the flat but also some of best restaurants, terrasses and hype bars in Paris, this area is one of the trendiest and most search for, and unbeatable in Paris concerning the price. It's really perfect to go everywhere in Paris, even by feet, you're so close to lots of monuments or museums...Champs-Elysées, Opéra, Grands magasins, Palais Royal, Tuileries gardens, Le Louvre.... IN DETAILS: LOCATION The flat is ideally located in the very center of Paris, north of Le Marais. It is in the middle of the most trendy, lively and bobo area of Paris: Rue Oberkampf, filled with cafés, galleries, terraces, live music bars and shops and Rue JP Timbaud, with the best restaurants options in town. It is within walking distance of the Canal St Martin, the Père Lachaise cemetery, Belleville and the romantic Parc des Buttes Chaumont. It is 5 mn cycling from the touristy area of Opera Bastille, Place des Vosges, Centre Pompidou, Musée Picasso. The République Métro Station is a very well connected hub counting the majority of the lines, which is key in Paris. You are very close to Menilmontant and St Maur stations as well, counting with the lines 2 and 3 which connect directly to all important touristic sites. There is a direct line to the Eiffel tower and Champs-Elysées. There is a bike station at the foot of the building and the whole area is secured with bike lanes. THE FLAT The flat is very cosy and convenient. It counts all the commodities needed for a couple of travellers, it is fully furnished and equipped. The architecture is typically parisian, with wooden floors and high ceilings. The flat is on the 4th floor and counts big windows (double glazing) with an open view, which makes it very bright. The furnitures are a bobo mix of cosy contemporary design. It counts a queen size convertible bed, with fresh linens and feathers duvet and pillows, a complete bathroom, a kitchen with everything to cook and a bar. There is a washing machine in the bathroom. Double glazing and black-out curtains will ensure you sleep quietly. Safety code and armoured door with safety system. The area is very safe anyway. I PROVIDE - clean sheets and towels - a list of my personal recos and tips for surviving, sightseeing, dining and going out. My guests usually appreciate them very much, so don't be lazy, do your homework and read them before taking off ! HOW TO GET THERE The République Station is the best connected. It is an easy reach from the train Station Gare du Nord (access train to CDG and Orly airports, Eurostar to London, Thalys to Brussels and Amsterdam) and Gare de Lyon (trains to the south, Lyon and Provence). AMENITIES AROUND There are plenty of very good restaurants, cafés, lively bars and theatres at walking distance, as well as all the amenities, with traditional butcher, bakery, cheesemonger, fishmonger, quality grocery store, organic food shop, wine cellar, food markets, supermarket, etc... all this 5mn walk from the flat. There is a gym and two swimming pools nearby, one of which with gardens and solarium. The street Oberkampf counts the best cafés and jazz music bars in the city, it is very lively. The canal hosts the Hotel du Nord, very famous among artists and actors, the Café Prune and La Marine, nice traditional terraces, and Sesame, my favourite address for brunches and organic smoothies. Although trendy, the area offers very reasonable prices. It is a fantastic option to discover the real Parisian life, far from the touristy clichés. Well, I cannot write everything here, I am so enthusiastic about my neighborhood! I gladly provide you with a booklet of all my personal recommendations and tips for going out, in the neighborhood as well as in other parts of the city which are worth it. CLEANING Please note that this is not an hotel, you are thus expected to leave it as clean as you found it. The cleaning fee covers the laundry and the regular maintenance of the flat, not the dishes and the trash. There is everything in the flat to clean it (vaccum cleaner, detergents etc.). However, if you prefer to book the cleaning lady extra, please do it in advance because she has a busy schedule. Count 50 euros. Description:The flat we offer is in Paris, 7 minutes walk from Bastille and Marais. Many restaurants , beautiful shops and things to do.(We are going to tell you our best places for everything). The building, the street and the flat are very quiet as well, friendly, and we have a Tennis club very close. It's a nice place as it's so sunny and that's great ! Well well well, 2 minutes walk you have marché d'Aligre, one of the best in Paris. It's a very cheap vegetables, flea and good food market with many places to eat, drink a coffee outside... The métro (ledru-rollin on line 8) and taxi are 3 minutes by walk Bus is only few steps...(going to St germain, bois de Vincennes, Louvre etc.) Close, you have, Bastille opéra House of course, and many museums and Gallerys in Marais. and promenade plantée with a swimming pool. 15 minutes by bus, you have bois de Vincennes and Parc Floral'. There, you can rent a boat, ride a poney, a bike, do some jogging or just enjoy the green space. Just in the front of the wood, there is a great sea museum with amazing fishs and crocodiles (alive). Our house and garden are tucked away behind a building on the street. The building entrance door is protected by a digicode. There is also a concierge. There are three bedrooms, a large living room, a real kitchen and all amenities : washer, dryer, dishwasher, cable TV, Dvd player, high speed internet, WIFI, FREE Phone for calls (to the US and in France) and lots of books. The living area has a veranda with double doors which open out onto the garden, an old round wooden table which can seat 8, an out of tune piano, a stereo, a cable television with DVD player. The sofa opens out into a double bed. We have just finished laying down an oak wood floor in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher, gas stove, microwave, toaster and refrigerator. There are plenty of pots, pans, dishes and utensils supplied. There is grapevine growing outside the window. All the rooms have wall to wall windows on the garden. The beds are firm and there a good bedside reading lights. There are desks, shelves and storage space in each. The master bedroom is 27M2. The second bedroom is 19M2. The third bedroom is 9M2 and has a mezanine bed. The bathroom is very large and has a tub/shower, w/c. This is where you will find the washer and dryer. There is a second w/c. Bed linens and towels are provided. In the garden you will find an outdoor table for dining, a simple barbecue, an old Parisian park bench, and a swing ball game. Shopping is right around the corner – supermarkets, fruit and vegetable stores, boulangeries, butchers, cheese stores, hair salons, pharmacy, florist, etc. Bois de Vincennes, swimming pool, tennis courts, are all in walking distance. There is a farmers markets twice a week. Please be advised that: There are cats in the house!!!! (The tenant will be responsible for feeding and caring for the cats).
