Description:CHARMING STUDIO IN SAINT-PAUL le Marais NON SMOKING apartment PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE BOOKING, to let me check the availability and organize the planning. AUGUST: I'm looknig for longer stays in August as it's holidays and lady taking care of the apartment will be on holidays. After pre-approbation, first booking is taken. Please note time of arrival and departure, check in not before 11am and check out not after 10am (this can be arranged depending on the other rents), no storage for luggage. ONLY for 2 persons (couples) not more, no kids. Minimum of rent is normally 5 days, exceptionnally less if I have some days between rents. Stay in my lovely studio, ideal for one or two persons, ONLY ONE BED (sofa bed is broken), two steps from the underground station Saint-Paul le Marais. The apartment includes: - a luminous room with sofa, table, chairs, shelves, cupboards, - a mezzanine with a 2 persons bed (140 cm, not a big size), a table, armchair, shelves, - kitchenette fully equipped with cooking plates, fridge, new micro wave, dishes and anything you need to cook, italian coffee pot. - a real bathroom with a bathtub, toilets, washbasin, shelves and cupboards. I provide clean linen (Sonia Rykiel) and towels. Vacuum-cleaner, iron, hairdryer. Internet WIFI. NO TV. The studio is located on 5th floor (or 6th for US), NO ELEVATOR, in a secure Parisian building, with digicode and concierge (very nice). The apartment’s door has a high security lock. All commodities like post-office, money-change, bank, supermarket (8am – 22pm, 7/7), a new supermarket just opened near the building, bakery, grocery-shops, pharmacy are situated a couple of minutes walk from the apartment. I’m looking for non smoking persons exclusively. Prices include electricity and charges. Possibility to have a person for cleaning / ironing is 12€ per hour. It's my own apartment that I rent because I'm away, so all personal furniture, please take care of it... and this is not a hotel!!!! It's very safe you need two codes to enter the building, absolutely no soucy. You have 3 metro lines (2, 12, and 13) at max 2 minutes walking, and lots of buses. You are also very close to Saint-Lazare and du Nord train stations. It's really perfect to go everywhere in Paris, even by feet, you're so close to lots of monuments or museums...Champs-Elysées, Opéra, Grands magasins, Palais Royal, Tuileries gardens, Le Louvre.... We have a Paypal account to receive money from aboard, very safe and easy to use for everybody. We'll ask you to pay half price by advance, so we can be sure and book definitely the flat for you. Best regards You have 3 metro lines near the studio the closest station (Blanche) is less than one minute by feet, the second one (Pigalle) less than 2 minutes, and the third one (Place de Clichy) less than three minutes… It is not a joke! They allow you to go everywhere in Paris very easily. You have also lots of buses at 30 seconds, and now that our good mayor has done many buses corridors all around, buses go very quickly too! You also have a Vélib station just at the bottom of the building. It is the new Parisian rent a bike system, incredibly cheap (1 Euro for 24 hours location, with as many trips as you want -who do not exceed half an hour- for free during the period, or 5 Euros for a week) and magical way to move in Paris, especially during spring and summer of course… You can follow the links to get more inf The precise address of the flat is rue de Douai, just at the cross with rue Pierre Fontaine, you will find a very good bakery at the ground floor of the building, as lots of cafés and restaurants (several open air, with lovely terraces to enjoy the French sun), all the shops you need, and several supermarkets opened very late, as a pharmacy opened 24/24 H. At less than 5 minutes walking, you will also find cinemas, famous concert rooms, discotheques and a pretty Parisian garden too have a rest under the trees… The quarter is lively and very charming, touristy as well as authentic, bohemian and bourgeois, from small quiet streets with hidden typical Parisian cafés and restaurants to famous places like Amelie’s café “Les Deux Moulins”, Moulin Rouge, Sacre Coeur (the white church) with panoramic view, Place de Tertre ( the artists place), the Dali museum, Pigalle’s night-life… You’ll find traditional artisan shops next to fashion boutiques, young creators, art galleries.. There is a wall-mounted flat screen TV, some English channels, plus a telephone for local calls. The daytime sofa folds down very easily to a flat position for the bed which is a French sized double bed measuring 122 cm (50 inches, making it slightly less than the US standard double). , It is a comfortable bed, which also has some storage space underneath it (bedding plus a soft-sided suitcase to fit underneath.) There is a tall closet as well. See floor-plan. n nThere are two windows which look out over the city and avenue, (quiet apartment as it is so high up and top floor). This is a great neighborhood, mostly residential, with a park-like expanse of green directly in front of you, that leads to Les Invalides (approximately a 7 minute stroll away). You can also walk to the Ecole Militaire and Rue Cler area for shopping or many more restaurants and there's a restaurant/Café, directly in front of your building as well. , The Eiffel Tower area is within a nice stroll or just 2 stops on the metro which is right around the corner. n nYes, size does matter, but the charm and quality details of this lovely place, in such a rich neighborhood and open views will well make up for it being a small place! Description:ID #253 Sleeps 2 Adults Some recent renovations Le Procope’ restaurant, which has been in business since 1686! And yes the first Ambassador from the newly formed colonies now called the USA ate at Le Procope, as did many dignitaries like Voltaire, Danton and Diderot. In fact, during the day in fine weather you will see some Tour Guides lecturing several different nationalities on the history of this ancient corner of Paris, and your famous cobblestone walkway. It is considered the heart of the left bank, and will be your own private cobblestone walk-way, which is private gated and closes down at night from 23hrs to 07hrs (11PM to 7AM) but you will of course have the code to enter and go whenever you please. No cars out your windows, just pedestrians bustling about, taking in all the splendid shops on this uneven walkway, like the “Le Chocolat” restaurant just a few doors down, specializing in, well you guessed it - everything chocolate! This is such a central and great location with most everything just a couple of minutes walk outside your door! Crepes stand and restaurants, cafes, bakeries, ice-cream shops, and so much more for specialty dining pleasures! The Odeon metro is only 2 minutes away, or of course the St. Michel metro stops (several lines including airport direct lines) is only a 4 minute stroll… Walk to the Louvre in only 10 minutes or Notre Dame as well, or even Luxembourg Gardens in less than 15 minutes! n nLower Ground floor Studio for a maximum of 2 people: This is a fully self-contained apartment. After entering the building from the pedestrian way, you go straight ahead to access your Studio, with its own secure private entrance (and of course separate key). This is a delightful studio of approx. 18 m2 (about 200 sq ft), which has a high quality sofa bed that can be left in open position all day if you choose, a full bathroom with shower, sink and WC, plus a small kitchenette in the living room area which provides a small sink, microwave unit with grill, coffee maker and tea kettle, dishes, cutlery, etc. There are no stairs or steps in this unit, and the stairs to go up to first floor unit are completely separate with another door for complete privacy. There is one full long wall of large widows, which are all double paned, for very good sound insulation. Remember the pedestrian way outside is private and closed down at night anyway, for minimal foot traffic. There is actually a second set of windows inside providing an additional ‘layer’ to insulate you from the outside, and providing extra privacy - see the photos. We do want to point out that this unit is slightly ‘below ground level’, meaning the cobblestone walkway outside is slightly higher, but only by about 2 feet. Of course you have either “light-sheer curtains” which do not allow anybody to look inside, or total blackout curtains at night for sleeping and complete privacy.... more info >>
