Description:CHARMING STUDIO IN SAINT-PAUL le Marais NON SMOKING apartment PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE BOOKING, to let me check the availability and organize the planning. AUGUST: I'm looknig for longer stays in August as it's holidays and lady taking care of the apartment will be on holidays. After pre-approbation, first booking is taken. Please note time of arrival and departure, check in not before 11am and check out not after 10am (this can be arranged depending on the other rents), no storage for luggage. ONLY for 2 persons (couples) not more, no kids. Minimum of rent is normally 5 days, exceptionnally less if I have some days between rents. Stay in my lovely studio, ideal for one or two persons, ONLY ONE BED (sofa bed is broken), two steps from the underground station Saint-Paul le Marais. The apartment includes: - a luminous room with sofa, table, chairs, shelves, cupboards, - a mezzanine with a 2 persons bed (140 cm, not a big size), a table, armchair, shelves, - kitchenette fully equipped with cooking plates, fridge, new micro wave, dishes and anything you need to cook, italian coffee pot. - a real bathroom with a bathtub, toilets, washbasin, shelves and cupboards. I provide clean linen (Sonia Rykiel) and towels. Vacuum-cleaner, iron, hairdryer. Internet WIFI. NO TV. The studio is located on 5th floor (or 6th for US), NO ELEVATOR, in a secure Parisian building, with digicode and concierge (very nice). The apartment’s door has a high security lock. All commodities like post-office, money-change, bank, supermarket (8am – 22pm, 7/7), a new supermarket just opened near the building, bakery, grocery-shops, pharmacy are situated a couple of minutes walk from the apartment. I’m looking for non smoking persons exclusively. Prices include electricity and charges. Possibility to have a person for cleaning / ironing is 12€ per hour. It's my own apartment that I rent because I'm away, so all personal furniture, please take care of it... and this is not a hotel!!!! Description:The flat is located in an exotic bohemian neighborhood by Montmartre, a truly authentic multicultural parisian experience. The 18 th arrondissement is well known for the Hill of Montmartre and it s narrow streets, the famous cabaret of the moulin rouge is also located in this arrondissement and the city's red light district lies on the border between here and Opera. Come and enjoy one of Paris most vibrant neighborhood between the touristy side of the hill on the south side and the more residential and bohemian side on the north. Shop for african produce at the barbès market, relax in the park on the hill. The Apartment: It's a confortable offering, well suited for couples. You'll certainly enjoy relawing with the 4 position rain shower :-) . The flat has been entirely remodeled last year by myself who as an architect is used to consider the confort and functionality aspect beyond everything. It Is Brand New! The Neighborhood: The nearest metro station is Château Rouge, which is 100 meters away, with which you can get to the heart of the french capital in just a few minutes, allowing you to visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Marais neighborhood, the Latin Quarter, and the Tuileries Garden. The station is named after the Red Castle Square, named for a handsome residence of red bricks built nearby in 1760 and demolished in 1875. The Gare du Nord, one of the city's main train station and the departure point of the Eurostar to London, is just two metro stations away. The Goutte d'Or district nearby has many Inhabitants of African origin and the Rue Dejean street market operates every day except Monday. They have taken much care to provide some lucky guests with beautifully designed spaces with all the amenities you could desire, and in a very desirable area of central Paris. The high-end Ile St. Louis area is right behind Notre Dame Cathedral and is ideally and best positioned to provide easy and instant access to so many attractions and conveniences. Easy to locate on any map, Ile St Louis is one of the two small islands right in the heart of Paris. Several bridges connect you to either the Right or Left banks of the Seine, so that you are just a few minutes stroll to such famed places like St. Michel, Hotel de Ville and Chatelet, St. Germain and the Latin Quarter and of course the other island itself- Il de la Cite, (where you will find Notre Dame Cathedral, St. Chapelle Church, etc.) Just outside your door are many small cafes. Crepe stands and restaurants to choose from, plus specialty shopping and all food provisions like bakeries, cheese shops and fresh grocers (if you care to avail yourself of the apartments' splendid kitchen) and of course the most famous ice cream shops in France (maybe in Europe!)- The Berthillon stores. This home has been beautiful decorated as the photographs here will confirm, it is located on a small quiet side street just off of the Seine River itself. As so much of this island's traffic is mostly pedestrian, you can be assured of a relaxing and tranquil stay in this quiet setting. It also has a great advantage of having lots of sunlight flood into the apartments, as the street is not so narrow as most others in this area. The flat is 50 sq meters (approximately 530 sq ft). It is located on the second European floor. Access to the apartment is via the common stairwell of the building, no elevator. The building itself is very handsome and dates back to the 19th century, as this is amongst the oldest areas of Paris (the city was actually founded on these islands which offered protection from any invading tribes due to the surrounding river). There is excellent security for the building (although most of Paris is very safe). The property owner has spent several years personally overseeing the renovations, highlighted with designer touches throughout, she carefully included many modern amenities as well, to ensure first class comfort and style. The apartment has the following features: •Queen size bed in the master bedroom •The second bedroom (which separates from the rest of the apartment by a sliding door) has a wooden trundle type bed that makes two single sized beds. In this trundle unit, one twin is stored underneath the other and can be rolled out from the higher one and then placed anywhere in the room. The roll out is lower to the ground than the higher one (see photo). •Full kitchen (see below for details) •Full bathroom with separate WC in a different room •Dining table next to the open kitchen BEDROOMS: Queen size bed in the master bedroom, which sleeps two adults. In the second bedroom, which during the day is open to the living room for more space, there is also a trundle unit composed of 2 individual twin size beds (one stored under the other during the day), which can easily be pulled out and may be rolled around with ease. These can be pushed close together, but do not actually form a single bed as one is lower than the other. The sofa bed in the living room is a sleeper sofa for two people. The master bedroom has a closet, including room for hanging clothes. KITCHEN: The kitchen has a full oven and stove and separate microwave. There is also a dishwasher. There is plenty of counter space with built-in appliances and color-coordinated designs throughout. The kitchens are well stocked with plenty of cookware and crockery/utensils for the stated amount of guests and include as well: Coffee maker •Clothes Washer & Dryer •Large Refrigerator-freezer •All dishes, cutlery •Toaster •Dining table BATHROOM: The bathroom is of ample size, with a large shower (attached to wall) and has a small window. The apartment, which sleeps up to 4 people, is located on a quiet street just one block from rue des Abbesses, rue Lepic (of Amélie Poulain fame!) and the Abbesses metro stop. Sacre Coeur and the Moulin Rouge are less than a 10-min walk away good transportation whisks you to the heart of Paris in under 20 minutes! A delightful, calm and airy 1-bedroom apartment of 25m2 (270 sq ft) with shower and kitchen, fully furnished with lots of light and equipped with everything you’ll need for your comfort and convenience. While we can’t offer you expansive views of the city monuments, we CAN offer you a fabulous location in one of the most picturesque and historic parts of Paris. When you meander through the winding cobble-stoned streets of Montmartre, you will feel like you are back in another time and place... yet you are only minutes from the bustling center of Paris! As you enter the apartment, you’ll find yourself in the spacious salon (living room) with open-plan (U.S.) kitchen. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, clothes washing machine, microwave/grill oven combo, coffee maker, tea pot, and all the necessary dishes and cookware. The breakfast bar provides two stools for dining, unless you prefer to dine at the coffee table. The salon contains a sofa-bed (queen-size) which sleeps two, and storage for your clothing. Three large windows provide you with lots of natural light and fresh air. We have recently added a TV/DVD with cable service, and free broadband Internet/WiFi is provided. We also provide a land-line phone with free local and international calls (to 150 countries). A small selection of books in both English and French is available, should you desire something to read. We also include an iPod/MP3 player with alarm clock-radio. Off the salon are two doors: one is for the WC/toilet (it is quite typical in France for the toilet to be located in a separate “closet” from the bathing facilities that’s simply how the French prefer it!), the other leads to the bedroom and shower room. The bedroom contains a comfortable queen-size bed (140x200cm), shelves for your odds and ends, and a small armoire. A double window provides a lovely view, so typical of Montmartre, of private courtyards and balconies as well as some green space. Located off the street at the back of the apartment, this room allows for a restful night’s sleep after a long day of sight-seeing! Just off the bedroom is the small but fully updated shower room with stall shower and sink a hairdryer is provided for your convenience. The apartment comes equipped with one set of fresh bed linens and towels for each guest (if you use additional linens or towels, a laundering fee of 30 euros will be requested a weekly cleaning service can also be arranged for an additional fee, for guests staying longer than one week). Although there is no air-conditioning, in warm weather we provide oscillating fans, and the double exposure generally provides good air flow through the apartment. Your host will be waiting for you* at the apartment at the agreed-upon arrival time, to provide you with the keys/door security code and to give you a tour of the apartment and amenities. When you arrive, you will find a complimentary bottle of wine, fruit juice, bottled water (although the city water is perfectly safe to drink!) and some light snacks waiting to welcome and refresh you after your journey. We can provide you with directions to a nearby supermarket or convenience store so you can stock up on anything else you need. (Just 2-3 minutes away at Place des Abbesses is a prize-winning boulangerie, and the rue Lepic market has many wonderful food shops.) *In the event we cannot greet you in person, we have a secure key safe and will provide you with all the information you need to access the apartment and settle in for your vacation. To make your stay easy and enjoyable, a complete directory is provided in the apartment, containing such useful information as how to operate the appliances, local restaurant and shopping recommendations, maps/information on public transportation, and much more! We live nearby and are only a phone call away in the event there is any difficulty and you need assistance. Although the apartment is quite comfortable for up to 4 adults, more than 4 people are not permitted we simply do not have the extra sleeping space. The apartment is not equipped for infants and very young children (no crib, no childproofing on windows or in the apartment) but older children are very welcome. There is no elevator, but the apartment is just one floor above the ground floor. (Please keep in mind that Montmartre is a very large hill and quite steep in spots, with cobblestones and uneven sidewalks. Also, our apartment's shower room is fully updated but a bit narrow. Larger guests or guests with mobility issues may want to keep these considerations in mind before booking.) We typically rent for terms from a minimum of 3 days to up to 3 months. In certain circumstances, we would consider a longer-term arrangement, so please feel free to inquire. This is a 100% non-smoking apartment. Neighborhood and prior to our purchasing this apartment for investment purposes, there was a 25-year old single woman living there for 18 months, and she also said she felt completely safe coming and going from the apartment no matter what the hour. The door to the building has a digital door code, and although there is no interphone or gardienne, the door to the apartment is a high-security steel door with 5-point deadbolt locks - the safest you can find. As this is a known tourist area, we only recommend that you practice good common-sense safety types in terms of guarding your purse, wallet and luggage when out and about, as pickpockets tend to go where the tourists do. Other than that, we feel quite confident when we say: this is a very safe area! RATES: We offer high and low season rates.
