This really cute, comfortable and romantic apartment in the attic is on the fourth floor and last floor of a beautiful 18th century building with a courtyard secured with a digicode and gate. there is no elevator as typically in the Marais. There are many restaurants and a market: ” les enfants rouges” 1 block away. The exposure is south (very bright) and it faces a courtyard with a view over Paris roofs (very calm). Located rue de Poitou with all its trendy boutiques, between Rue Vieille du Temple: gallery row & Rue Saintonge. This studio/apt has 2 rooms(not 2 bedrooms) Room1 When you enter it is a separate and open kitchen with a big window overlooking the roofs of Paris. It is equipped with an electric oven/ four electric burners a small fridge and a sink, counter top, cabinets, cutlery, dishes, coffee maker and everything one needs to cook. (it has been renovated a year ago) Facing the entry off the kitchen is a small tiled bathroom fitted with a shower and toilet. Room2 The main space has two skylights and has: a double bed and a small sofa bed (140 wide)for 2 more people, TOTAL 4 persons not more, but when the sofa is open the space becomes smaller so it's ideal for 2 people....a coffee table, folding dining table/chairs, vacuum cleaner, iron and board, a mini stereo system, a TV, a lamp, 1 mobile wardrobes, a mirror and chest of drawers. Description:Whole house available : Summer vacation : July - August Sleeps up to 6 people Minimum 1 week stay This unusual light-filled and quiet 120m2 home has wall to wall windows overlooking a large private garden. Our house and garden are tucked away behind a building on the street. The building entrance door is protected by a digicode. There is also a concierge. There are three bedrooms, a large living room, a real kitchen and all amenities : washer, dryer, dishwasher, cable TV, Dvd player, high speed internet, WIFI, FREE Phone for calls (to the US and in France) and lots of books. The living area has a veranda with double doors which open out onto the garden, an old round wooden table which can seat 8, an out of tune piano, a stereo, a cable television with DVD player. The sofa opens out into a double bed. We have just finished laying down an oak wood floor in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher, gas stove, microwave, toaster and refrigerator. There are plenty of pots, pans, dishes and utensils supplied. There is grapevine growing outside the window. All the rooms have wall to wall windows on the garden. The beds are firm and there a good bedside reading lights. There are desks, shelves and storage space in each. The master bedroom is 27M2. The second bedroom is 19M2. The third bedroom is 9M2 and has a mezanine bed. The bathroom is very large and has a tub/shower, w/c. This is where you will find the washer and dryer. There is a second w/c. Bed linens and towels are provided. In the garden you will find an outdoor table for dining, a simple barbecue, an old Parisian park bench, and a swing ball game. Shopping is right around the corner – supermarkets, fruit and vegetable stores, boulangeries, butchers, cheese stores, hair salons, pharmacy, florist, etc. Bois de Vincennes, swimming pool, tennis courts, are all in walking distance. There is a farmers markets twice a week. Please be advised that: There are cats in the house!!!! (The tenant will be responsible for feeding and caring for the cats). The closest metro station is 3 minutes from the house. The number 1 metro line runs through the heart of Paris with quick access to the whole city. Bastille is 10 minutes away. Our flat is located in North East Paris in a neighborhood called Laumière, in a beautiful avenue leading to the Buttes Chaumont parc and to the Canal de l'Ourq on the other side. Laumière is one of the best in the 19th arrondissement, very quiet and still very close to trendy bars and restaurants, nice walking along the canal and in the parc. The metro station (Laumière) is 1 minute walking from the flat, on line 5 (orange line) towards Oberkampf, Bastille, Republique, Gare du Nord, etc. And crossing all other main lines. All touristic spots (Eiffel Tour, Champs Elysées, The Louvre are about 20-25 mn away (with the metro). You can also use public bikes if you pay a small daily rent. HOW is the flat ? The apartment is 45 square meter large. It is composed of 1 spacious living-room with 2 large windows along the avenue enlightening the room. The sofa can become a bed for 2 people, and on the second part of the living-room the large table is perfect for home cooked dinners and brunches.
