Description:In the countryside north of Rome, the Tevere river meanders through some charming hills until it opens into a sort of natural amphitheater in the area called Sabina, guardian of the ancient splendor that was the great Latin civilization. This area, due to the characteristics of the countryside and its mild climate, has been inhabited and cultivated since ancient times: and here you can see the archaeological remains of many roman country villas (which were actually ancient farmsteads), along with small medieval villages, castles and monasteries. Here, in an atmosphere of times gone by, among cultivated valleys of vineyards and olive groves, and hills covered in woods, with an enviable panorama over the surrounding countryside, stands Villa dei due Pini, a lovely building with interesting architectural features: it lies in grounds that have been elegantly cared for, including a wonderful little lake with exotic plants and a large swimming-pool with an original half-moon shape. In every part of the property you can feel a classy, refined atmosphere, both outside in the grounds which have been embellished by antique statues, and in the interiors furnished by the owners, experts and art-collectors, who have filled the rooms with antique furniture and paintings with perfect taste. This atmosphere, which you can find only in the most refined Italian country houses, guarantees the guests of the villa the pleasure of an exclusive holiday, to be savored in the natural and historic surroundings, with romantic country walks and particularly interesting sightseeing including art treasures and local culture. Rome is just a short distance away - a little less than an hour by car, or by a convenient railway journey, and both Tuscany and Umbria, with all their artistic treasures, can be reached in a couple of hours. The grounds surrounding this 15th century villa are very well kept, including gardens with statues, a pond with exotic plants, and a beautiful circular private swimming pool. The pool area, equipped with umbrellas and sun lounges, is located below the main villa and includes a changing room with two showers, a sauna, and a bathroom with sink and toilet. Each structure on the property is equipped with its own outdoor equipment for relaxing and dining out of doors. The property is surrounded by verdant hills, and there is ample parking space available on site. n nMain Villa (8 pax) nRecently featured in a prestigious Italian interior decorating magazine, this villa boasts not only elegant but even museum-quality furnishings. All bedrooms and one of the sitting rooms are equipped with air conditioning. nGround Floor: The villa opens into a large living room with several couches and a fireplace. There is also a barrel-ceiling dining room with a table for twelve and a large kitchen equipped with a cook-top, two ovens, two refrigerators, a microwave, toaster, and American coffee maker. nFirst Floor: The second floor consists of three communicating sitting rooms for reading and relaxing with large windows that open into the garden.
