Description:Since 1998 our family grows our land by organic agriculture. Our farm consisting of ten hectars of: olive groves, orchard, kitchen garden, pasture and wood lands. The farmhouse is inside in no hunting zone, of very naturalistic importance, rich of wildflowers and wildlife: hares, pheasants, roes, wild boars and many kind of birds. From the house, by paths in the fields, on arrive to Badia di Morrona, ancient monastery of Camaldoli's Friars (XI century). Valleantica is far 12 km. from the thermae of Casciana Terme, is situated in the famous landscape of Tuscan hills, and it is an excellent point of departure to arrive to the most interesting places in Tuscany:Firenze e Siena a 80 km., San Gimignano 50, Pisa e Lucca 40, Volterra 25, Livorno and Thirrenian Coast 30. The farmhouse is divided into two floors: the upper one occuped by the family, the ground floor dedicated to our guests. It is a flat of 70 mq., free from architectural barriers, open all the year. It consists of a large kitchen-stay with fireplace, two double rooms, four beds, large bathroom, wide outer space with pergola. The structure can host up to 4 guests, is possible to add two beds more. All the rooms are complete with eating, and wood for the cozy fireplace is provided. Back the house, around the pergola, is a great meadow where is possible to dinner. We sell our season products: fruits, vegetables, oliveoil, eggs, and..... Location This Lucca apartment is set at 300 meters above sea level amongst olive groves and woodland. It has panoramic views of the nearby hills and farm land as well as the valley of the river Serchio. The house is located in Tramonte, a hillside area above Ponte a Moriano, its nearest town/village. Lucca town is a 10 km/ 6 miles drive away from the house. The distance to Pisa airport is approx. 35 km, whereas Florence city its famous walls enclose a place that can be walked or cycled with ease yet remains full of secrets. Lucca one of Italy's finest medieval treasures, the centre is unspoilt and is sprinkled with palazzi, towers and almost countless splendid churches. The surrounding Lucca hills produce some excellent wines and arguably the finest olive oil anywhere, whilst the beaches and nightlife are but a small hop away. You can visit the house where Giacomo Puccini was born or visit the famous Villas of Napoleons sisters, all in Lucca. Description of the accommodation The Lucca apartment is part of a family residence divided into two parts, each with its own driveway and parking space. The apartment is on the ground floor and has its own large, secluded south-facing terrace immediately adjacent to the olive groves. The accommodation comprises of a good size lounge with sofa and dining areas, leading into a 'living' kitchen with original fireplace from where you can reach the main bedroom and bathroom across a small corridor. The lounge includes a large double pull out bed as well as a settee. The bathroom is fitted with a shower cubicle, washbasin, bidet and toilet. The large double-bedroom is furnished with wooden interiors. The kitchen is fully fitted.. Bed linen and towels are provided. The Lucca apartment was totally renovated and refurnished during the last winter and all interiors are new and in perfect condition, giving the apartment a fresh and clean feeling. Gas and electricity are at extra cost, we only charge for what you use. We are available to pick you up from the Airport and to familiarise you with local knowledge.You are advised to hire a car to get the full benefit of sightseeing and to visit local restaurants in Lucca etc. If you need help with transport we can arrange to take you to the local train station in Lucca or bus and pick you up early evening - please advise on booking if this is required as additional costs are incurred. Description:Comignano country-house Comignano country house was in ‘800 and in ‘900 a wonderful agricultural farm that produced fruits for the whole Mugello valley. It was built, in late 1700, with a functional project: to build it at the bottom of a natural basin. The reason for this was to let carts, loaded with agricultural products, reach the house going downhill, with less effort for men and animals. The farm building, following customs of the period, was started after a meticulous watching of the place by masons who were used to choosing the best place to build, through careful thought, after having slept there some nights in winter and summer. Territorial plentiful waters are free from any contamination and reach the country house by a spring and an artesian well. The water coming from the well has beneficial diuretic effects, coming directly from the taps to drink. Following farmer’s customs, there is also a rainwater harvesting of 20.000 liters. In uncultivated areas you can find, amidst the natural vegetation, ancient fruit trees that bear record to times when those places were intensively cultivated. You can find them along the stream Lora that marks the boundary of what remains of a big farm that in the beginning of 1900 extended for hundreds of hectares. During the second half of 1900, the abandonment of agricultural work towards industry, led to the degradation of this agricultural land. At the end of the second world war, in 1943 the house was blasted leaving intact the only loft that has now been recovered and restructured. The blasted house was rebuilt in the same place but with a new and different shape and in the ’50s lodged a rural school in part of it. It has been lived in by farmers until 1980 and then put on sale in the ’90s when we bought it. The abandonment of agriculture and the consequent absence of chemical treatments, has helped the preservation of rich and full fauna environment, as much as the presence of insects that are their food source. Now we use part of the arable land as orchard, part as kitchen garden, but the most part is left on loan to the neighbouring sheep breeding (that you can also reach afoot, pictures on the slide show) where you can buy very good cheese and fresh ricotta, made by sheep’s milk grazing under your eyes.... more info >>

Description:THE HOUSE: Would you like to spend a wonderful week in complete relaxation in the picturesque countryside of Tuscany? Our villa is what you are looking for.Located in one of the most beautiful tuscan landscapes, it is an enchantingly renovated old country house set on the hillside near the little town of Palaia (Pisa) and surrounded by a marvellous natural fresco where flowers, olives and vineyards are some of the main subjects. The accommodation is completely furnished in a rustic way, with traditional floors and nice wooden beam-ceilings. On the ground floor you can find the kitchen/dining room complete with oven, big wooden dining table, a large hob, freezer and fridge. The sitting room, where you can relax by the fire on two comfortable sofas and listen to some good music, is carefully furnished and communicates with the dining room. The bathroom is also on the ground floor and has a roomy shower, basin, w.c. and bidet. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, the first one with a double bed (or twin beds), excellent wardrobe and TV and the second with a double bed (or twin beds), TV and DVD as well. Every little detail has been chosen with much care and interest. From our property guests may reach every interesting historical city or important seaside resorts in more or less one hour. The estate, completely isolated from noise and pollution of towns, is ideal for those who look for relax and privacy. The house is equipped with all the modern facilities to make your stay as pleasant and easy as possible. There is nothing more to say now it is time to see our house with your own eyes! TIPS: Palaia is a very small village which has a gorgeous country around.It is definetly a good base to visit the beauties of Tuscany,living at the same time to relax of an uncontaminated environment.Only 15 mins by car and you are in Pontedera,small city but with lots of nice bars,pubs and restaurant as well as a lot of activities such as tennis,swimming pools,football and so on.If you want to visit the Dome,the Uffizi or Ponte Vecchio in Florence(the cradle of Renaissance)you can go either by car(1h20)or by train from Pontedera(50mins).One day you could go to Pisa and lay in the sun on the grass of Piazza dei Miracoli with the famous Leaning Tower in front of you(50 mins by car or 15 mins with the train from Pontedera).You cannot miss Siena with his marvellous Piazza del Campo which in August changes in a Horse race for the Palio.Moreover the location is well related with famous wine itineraries and it is for example very nice to drive along the road to San Gimignano,which passes through hills and valleys,and along which many farms produce and sell their own olive oil and wine for competitive prices.Lucca and Viareggio are also easily reachable.We will be very happy to give information’s about place where to go and good restaurants!... more info >>

The living area has a fully equipped kitchen area, dining table and chairs and settee (which can convert to a bed on request). There is a pretty double bedroom and a shower room which has been adapted to be suitable for disabled persons. The apartment has an area with table and chairs in the pretty grounds for dining al fresco and there is a barbecue for guests use. Wi Fi internet connection is available, as is a table tennis table and childrens football pitch. Parking is in the grounds close by. r n r nVolterra, just 10km away is a lovely town to explore, it boasts an interesting Etruscan museum, amphitheatre, and many craft shops with local alabaster products for which the town is famous. There is an excellent selection of shops and restaurants and in the summer months the town hosts many wonderful festivals, concerts and fairs. From this lovely location in the heart of the countryside many of Tuscany?s other sights are easily reached. San Gimignano is just half an hour away, and Florence and Siena are lovely days out.
